  • How can I print off that drum transcription onto separate pages?

When I print it, it prints as one solid photograph which is far too small too read.

  • Is all this sound work done by Taylor Larson and yourself?

  • Are you using MS4's? And what other cymbal are you using with your TRX Stacker to make your stack?

  • @AllahRackballABF Aye; I switch off between those and the Hammers (I believe the model is SRH2). I've been playing Magnums since early 2010. The stack is 14" ICON / 16" ALT chinese. For any other equipment inquiries, I've a list on my website under 'misc'.

  • I'm glad the comments gave me something to read while I was waiting for the real part to start.

  • This is a sick ass track and watching you jam to it is awesome.

  • This mix sounds far better than the one on the ep, drums bit too loud for a cd. But for a youtube mix this sounds awesome. Great drum composing though the song sounds a bit like a Opeth ripoff. You are a god Travis.

  • Yep, i can feel the Opeth vibe. Very cool!

  • Very Opethish, really good music! And you made it even better!

  • You are a bad mf'er Travis. If you don't walk around with a little swagger, you should :)

  • @Simbelmyne13 I bought a cane and some fur because of this comment.

  • @shaftninja hahahahahahahahahah

  • @shaftninja Monocle dude. You need a monocle.

  • @shaftninja what about some bling, YOU GOTS TO HAVE SOME BLING!

  • Awesome... it seems like you lead with the left foot on the bass drum at times... even when using only one pedal... is there any reason ??

  • @aiyerk Check out his setup explanation video, answers all the questions like these!

  • This music reminds me of Frank Zappa but instrumental and very dark and evil sounding.

  • How long does it usually take you to come up with a composition for a song?

  • @NYTROOPA Depends on the length; three days to maybe a week at most.

  • Как всегда здорово!

мне понравилось что видео из двух частей смонтировано (с музыкой и без)

  • sounds a lot like opeth, pretty awesome stuff, and of course sick playing man!

  • travis, how many takes will you have to do on a song like this on average? like i'm sure it varies with the difficulty and length, but yeah, was just wondering.

  • Mind blown....

  • Years of practice and commitment, that's what i never had! - That's what you gained. Your music is too convoluted for me to comprehend. lol

Keep up the good work (Y)

  • Geez louise, look at those top comments.

  • great stuff, probably my favourite composition from you!

  • If this song was a cupcake. It would be the best fucking cupcake ever.

  • phenomenal as always..

  • Travis I was wondering, does masturbating open handed help with playing open handed on drums?

  • @Orancube i can tell you, it does!

  • @Orancube The worst thing is.. It probably does!

  • Absolutely love the flam fills and the ghost notes in this. Well done man keep it up!

  • Anyone notice what appears to be a stack of drum heads on the left? of one size?

  • @sn270053 Could be different heads for the same drum. When you do session drumming you want to be able to make your kit sound like anything so maybe he changes the heads for different sounds as well as remicing and changing the eq.

  • love it dude

  • oooh are there tabs for the acoustic?

  • @GtoTheUITAR I tab out all the songs. I'm thinking about making them available.

  • I should be going to church but i just found some new Orbin sessions...

  • @coheedandcambriahero which is pretty much the same since travis Orbin is god.

  • What a great way to start a Sunday morning by watching a brand new Orbinator video :)

  • The drum tones are amazing. I love the solo drumming section at the end, shit's tasty as fuck.

  • I would probably take down the dynamics a bit on the acoustic part in the beginning (after the intro) and thus make the heavy part more apparent. I've never heard you play under a certain dynamic level. Besides, this music seems like a total backwater park-era rip-off.. But, i guess that is accepted now since Opeth moved to progressive rock? I just find it sad that some bands move ahead with old sound, and then some move backwards to only totally copy a sound.

  • 2:59 scared me

  • amazing! cant wait for Unstable Equilibrium!

  • @gonadiator that was the upload before this

  • Why is the mix different for the isolated drum take?

  • @RyEBreaD757 It's my own wet mix, whereas Serge mixed the drums to his liking for the EP.

  • i love your style. so much. its awesome. its legen... wait.... DARY!

  • Very strong Opeth influence here.......Love it

  • Make love to me Travis.

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls Bonus points for awesome username! :D

  • so good ^^

  • 62nd view. Nice!

  • That a Dream Theater shirt you're sporting there?

  • @7angelofdrums7 Aye.

  • @shaftninja Me likey. You should make a vidoe for "At Season's End," with you just sitting there making troll faces (if i'm correct in assuming that you don't play in that one, that is). If you do it, I'll find you and give you a grand total of 3 hugs;)

  • Love you!

  • awesome

  • This is so old Opeth-ish its rediculous!
