@AllahRackballABF Aye; I switch off between those and the Hammers (I believe the model is SRH2). I've been playing Magnums since early 2010. The stack is 14" ICON / 16" ALT chinese. For any other equipment inquiries, I've a list on my website under 'misc'.
This mix sounds far better than the one on the ep, drums bit too loud for a cd. But for a youtube mix this sounds awesome. Great drum composing though the song sounds a bit like a Opeth ripoff. You are a god Travis.
travis, how many takes will you have to do on a song like this on average? like i'm sure it varies with the difficulty and length, but yeah, was just wondering.
@sn270053 Could be different heads for the same drum. When you do session drumming you want to be able to make your kit sound like anything so maybe he changes the heads for different sounds as well as remicing and changing the eq.
I would probably take down the dynamics a bit on the acoustic part in the beginning (after the intro) and thus make the heavy part more apparent. I've never heard you play under a certain dynamic level. Besides, this music seems like a total backwater park-era rip-off.. But, i guess that is accepted now since Opeth moved to progressive rock? I just find it sad that some bands move ahead with old sound, and then some move backwards to only totally copy a sound.
@shaftninja Me likey. You should make a vidoe for "At Season's End," with you just sitting there making troll faces (if i'm correct in assuming that you don't play in that one, that is). If you do it, I'll find you and give you a grand total of 3 hugs;)
How can I print off that drum transcription onto separate pages?
When I print it, it prints as one solid photograph which is far too small too read.

Is all this sound work done by Taylor Larson and yourself?

Are you using MS4's? And what other cymbal are you using with your TRX Stacker to make your stack?

Awesome... it seems like you lead with the left foot on the bass drum at times... even when using only one pedal... is there any reason ??

This music reminds me of Frank Zappa but instrumental and very dark and evil sounding.

How long does it usually take you to come up with a composition for a song?
NYTROOPA 1 month ago
@NYTROOPA Depends on the length; three days to maybe a week at most.

Years of practice and commitment, that's what i never had! - That's what you gained. Your music is too convoluted for me to comprehend. lol

Why is the mix different for the isolated drum take?
RyEBreaD757 1 month ago
@RyEBreaD757 It's my own wet mix, whereas Serge mixed the drums to his liking for the EP.
