Well I actually weighed Ball Mason jars today. Average weight 0.95lbs. The Dead 'stopped' playing in 1995.
The 'Mason', however, is unfortunately not 'Free'. Used at goodwill for as little as 25 cents each to nearly well a whole lot at antique shops in the midwest.

Back in my day (88-95+) studio albums more often then not without comment, then within a minute or two hey dudes I just got 2nd gen Deer Creek and Buckeye from the shows last month! Yeah!!! But this I think I got from that 4cd taupe woven set.. Those drums at the begginning. And brother... Mr. Charlie?!? Chooba chooba! HOley Moley! So you have some good loud live Mason's?
