pull your mass airflow, my 97 grand marquis will do that too without my airflow thing and sensors plugged in .. makes it work a lot better too but harder on gas.

@leafsrule16 Hahah! Yah lets pull off the thing that tells the computer how much air is going into the engine. So that it thinks there is hardly any air going into the engine, leans out the fuel and either stalls, starts detonating, or melts a piston.....intellegent.

@bamsunnimdrunk to be honest you can just slide the shifter in between P and R and rev away up to 6,500rpm as it's not actually engaging a gear, but in between gears... hence the limiter rod is not @ full contact... I do it often with my 98 lincoln continental... sucker has the same engine as a vic but the 32 valve INTECH version producing 275 horsepower via double overhead cam solution. MUCH more powerful than a standard vic, or even a police interceptor... but its old so I beat it up.

@Amirnake mine is the same 4.6L engine but it has 32 valves and 20 more horses than yours also FF layout = faster speed off the line.

@bamsunnimdrunk no where did i say any of that. an engine can be destroyed quickly at RPMs its not designed to maintain. A rev limiter keeps you from going into those RPMs... if you sit there all day flooring it, you aren't moving.. you don't have any air cooling the radiator or engine, the engine will probably blow a head gasket.. morons have to be explained every little detail

Super 44's on mine sound good (and are nice because with the cats, if you feather the gas, you won't hear 'em, but let it loose and it's sweet as sugar.
