  • It was most interesting to see Turner Layton singing. I have many Layton and Johnstone recordings but this was the first time I have seen a video clip - thank you.

  • He was also the composer of Jazz standards: 'After You've Gone', 'Way Down Yonder In New Orleans' and 'If I Could Be With You One Hour Tonight'.

  • I prefer him to Hutch. This performance is from a 1937 British revue film entitled Calling All Stars which has a wonderful sequence set in Harlem's Cotton Club featuring Buck & Bubbles, Elisabeth Welch, Nicholas Brothers and the great Mr Turner Layton.

  • outstanding!

  • Have his autograph

    Many thanks

  • wonderful so beautiful thanks

  • Excellent performance indeed - Layton and Johnstone deserve to be better known these days.
