Ninja Gaiden 2 Master Ninja Mode Chapter 3 Boss

I'm stuck at this boss, probably the cheapest boss ever made in video game history in MN... I can more or less dodge the lightning ball salvos (or limit the damage at least) but without Ninpo and when I don't have time to charge a UT the fish and blue mask are pretty much undodgeable... when I dodge one fish, the others catch me just after...

nice vids :) few questions

1) how is your ninpo level 2 at this point? Never came across any jewels yet...

2) If I use flying swallow on those dragons/fiends, I get juggle combo'd on recovery. How come you were so safe? Your runaway/jumpaway was nice though

3) Full UT never hits completely on those guys, but isnt 360Y much less damaging? I just go for YYY

@Harmonaz Ok.

1. The ninpo is there (not 100% where, i'd use g a m e f a q s . c o m / great freaking site)

2. Always hold block when recovering, you might not see it but doing that has saved my ass to many times, imagine each move is a line of code/action...by holding block your move will be logged way before the AI logs its attack...Flying swallow, hold block and start flicking stick away (for dodge).

3.Its not about how much damage w/the 360 UT, its about removing a limb for the kill move.

@Kl1n3 Thanks for the reply. I know what you mean about the blocking - but what I meant more specifically was that in between the three flying swallows when Ryu is in the air - thats when I get hit by those bloody projectiles, and since I get hit in the air, there's a chance of getting hit by more of them.

And yes, I was guessing that you were going for the limb removal with the 360Y - I found the incendiaries quite good for that too. Anyway - nice vids - I'll be coming back to them more

@Harmonaz Ohh. I was thinking you meant One Flying Swallow into a recover. Not sure why you keep getting hit while doing the multi-FS. I just spam the hell out of Y (or triangle). Agreed on the Incendiary Shurikens.

@hitokiri657 Ninpo and UTs. I've also seen someone dodge them (they hit the ground and explode) while attacking whats left. Upto you, but I'd recommend trying them all out and seeing what works for you. Thanks for watching.

Right before I OT him on master ninja he shoots out the blue face of death at point blank and I died. After that I just used my bow when he fell to the ground and killed him. I'm not risking it again.

I gotta say that's a horribly designed boss battle. I got there with no ninpo and only 3/5ths of a bar of health, half of which  would sometimes be drained cuz he'd already be attacking me when the stupid death load screen ended.

Unblockable attacks with no warning, sometimes 2 unblockable attacks at the same time. You shouldn't have to go invincible with a ninpo EVERY time he does 2 certain attacks to beat a fucking boss.

I just got the game and it's just cheaper then shit. And fun

How did u upgrade your dragon sword and lunar staff that fast? The last upgrade for every weapon is $40.00. You must save your money than. Nice gameplay.

he already beat the game on mnm. but there is a spot in ch 2 where guys constantly respawn. fight them and save, and repeat until you can upgrade your stuff

it's on his first playthrough actually, and it wouldnt even matter if it was his second playthrough. Your money doesn't transfer, nor do weapon levels.

This isn't his first play through is it ? He's wearing the golden ninja costume which you unlock by beating the game on master ninja.

Y0mAMa5957, Though this comes 2 months later, he was able to afford both upgrades quite easily on MN by spamming the crap out of ultimate techs. The yellow essence from those is much larger, plus bigger combos yield more money. I barely got both of those weapons maxed on path of the warrior so I'm sure he did it very easily on MN where there's more enemies. Hope this helps.

O i found that out playing Ninja Gaiden Black, and it was cool. I beat master ninja mode on both games and Black was a lot easier for me than Ninja Gaiden 2.
