the example of the choice given in a game show confuses me, given the eventual 2 available options and independent probability, how does it matter what the chance was when there were still 3 doors. If your choice is still one of the 2 available options, does the host not offer you the option to change if your current choice is correct, or only if the current choice is incorrect? if the host asks in case of either, what is the point of the offer being taken into account at all?
