  • Thanks man you made my day ! Been struggling for 1 hour trying to embed a video with no success LOL

  • Clear, consise, and oh so useful! Thanks.

  • i am able to get the videos to appear in my blog, my issue is that the views are not reflected on my youtube video on the youtube sight. is there a way to connect wordpress views back to the video home page without the person having to watch it on the youtube page? essentially does viewing on wordpress get applied as a view in youtube? thx

  • High 5 to you. It worked for me. Thanks.

  • Awesome! I went through 6 differeent lousy plugins. this works great!

  • Thanks! Your video was VERY helpful!

  • Hey, thank-you. Really helpful!!

  • There is a more advanced and easier way:

    [embed] ... link ... [/embed]

    and thats all.

  • @kashmirha omg! do you know how easy you made my life? i dont see that embed thing on youtube anymore.

  • @kashmirha Yes... This one is more easy and it works, just put Code and put Embed besides code and that's all

  • Thanks! Simple, Easy, Informative- Def. be checking back for more great tips :)

  • I feel like an idiot after watching this... Thanks for the help! :)

  • THANKS!!!

  • thanks dear its really work awesome :)

  • It worked. Thanks=)

  • It's fine, but does not work for me. Youtube does not show the same embed code to choose. So, no go. I will keep searching.

  • @jw3313 they changed their embed code to iframe

  • @xDVxReturnV2 you can get the old one by checking the 'Use old embed code' below the embed code.

  • Hello this was very helpful for video.. But is there a way to embed an audio player fpr instance a myspace player within your blog?

  • many thanks. its simple enough to do, but much appreciated for uploading this video. cheers!

  • I'm pasting the code as instructed on the HTML tab. I've realized that if I make any changes to the page with a video on the VISUAL tab, the video code disappears. Whenever I place a video on a page, I leave it on the HTML tab. I don't remember this being a problem before WP upgrade, but it happens every time now.

  • Doesn't work on 3.1, I tried both the old and new code.

  • You have to use the "use old embed code" option or it won't work.

  • Thanks!

  • ok... i have a embed code for a picture and i dont know how to put the picture on another website or desktop??

  • That was great and so easy thanks!

  • Thanks. Just like Louis Pasture somethings are so easy once you stumble upon them.

Great video and easy to follow.

  • Perfect, Jack...this is exactly what I needed! thanks for your help!!!! ~Adam

  • Didn't work.

I use WP 3.0. I followed the instructions exactly as you laid them out. I see the yellow flash box when I go back to the visual tab.

When I hit publish, it disappears. Even the HTML code disappears if I try to edit.

  • @jjrakman Same thing is happening to me as well.

Even when I updated. Now on 3.05 and it is still doing the same thing.

The code just disappears from both views when I change tabs. It's getting incredibly frustrating. Tried in multiple browsers, same thing.

  • NOTICE: This only works of the user that's posting the topic is an ADMIN, you can get the Kimili Flash Embed Plugin for authors that want to post a topic and embed Flash, there's some flaws with it though, cause after the video is embeded you can't have text, or images below it, but you can embed videos side by side. The text, and images HAST to be displayed above the video, or they won't show.

  • it doesn't work. GRRR

  • thank...that worked!! One note is that the video wont show up in the Preview pane....that does not mean it did not work.

  • Thanks bro, big help

  • You rock! I spent an hour searching for how to do this damn thing and I knew it was under my nose. I am a blogger user recently switched to wordpress which I love in blogger you just embed it changes it automatically even though there is a html tab. So thanks again for posting this easy vid to show us new users how to do this.

  • @travelingtroll thats happening to me to

  • I followed your instructions and everything works just as you say until I hit preview. No video... I check back on the post and the video box on the visual side and embeded code on the HTML side is gone... Any advice would be much appreciated. Thx

  • Nice... thanks man alot of help thumbs up!!!

  • Very helpful. Thank you very much for the information. It's saved me some aggravation and headache!

  • in wpmu it actually the editor strips object/embeds tags away.

  • Thanks for the easy to follow tutorial and great instructions!

  • Worked perfectly on my site, thanks!

    See it in action here:

  • I had a quick question for you. I noticed the green bar above your dash board. I'm assuming it allows you quick access to all of the functionality of your wordpress dashboard. Is that a plugin? How may I get it? and Do you recommend it? (I guess that's more than one quesiton lol)

  • Thank you :)

  • I am using Wordpress 2.9.2. I do everything you say, when I click on visual it shows the yellow box etc, but when I save draft and then go to preview it, the video does not appear? Will it only appear when I publish?

  • That's right - it shows WHERE the video will be in your post, but to see the video you have to publish the post OR click on Preview to see how it looks before posting.

  • Actually I figured it out... Apparently there were setting where Author couldn't link a video, but Admin can. We got it worked out though. Thanks for the reply.

  • Is there any reason why I wouldn't have the box graphic in the Visual editor? I just get a URL when switching from the code in HTML mode...

  • I wonder why this isn't working for me. I've followed the directions to a "t". As soon as I press update/publish, it disappears. wp 2.9.2

  • whenever i do this it works fine in the editor but when i go to press preview this post it doesn't show the video

  • Thanks. Just upgraded to 2.9 and this is just what I was looking for.

  • Thanks Jack! This really helped. Very much appreciated.

  • Very simple and clear. Just what I wanted

  • I've done every thing in this video and when I go to the preview post after I've embedded my videos, the videos are present there, but not when I publish my post.

  • Has anyone noticed that the embed code from youtube is invalid?

  • Very helpful, thanks

  • awesome thanks

  • Helpful, thank you!

  • Thank you! This is just what I was looking for!
