We're going in circles. Vigilantism only applies when the system is working properly with the peace officers keeping the peace (i.e. militia, deputized, etc.). One of the founding principles (sometimes honored more in the breech) is that positive (statutory) law was to be carefully crafted to conform to the natural laws. Of course with proper strength and manner of enforcement.
In the above situation you've used as an example, there IS a provision of the law to cover that: Self Defense. Similar provisions exist for defending someone else, IIRC.

The gruesomeness of a medical procedure isn't the fault of the doctor necessarily -- it's just the necessary method. The application of lethal force is only permissible in very specific circumstances. Anything else is subject to SERIOUS repercussions.
Vigilantes act as though their own judgment supersedes that of the law, and are thus fundamentally subversive to it.
To equate the use of lethal force by police officers in upholding the law to the same by vigilantes in subversion of it betrays your fundamental lack of understanding of reality.

Me AND you if the situation should arise. If the police cannot respond, you can shoot the intruder, right?. If the police won't respond, or will shoot you instead of the intruder, the same rule applies.
One of the founding principles (sometimes honored more in the breech) is that positive (statutory) law was to be carefully crafted to conform to the natural laws. Of course with proper strength and manner of enforcement.

In the above situation you've used as an example, there IS a provision of the law to cover that: Self Defense. Similar provisions exist for defending someone else, IIRC.
Abortion is a very tricky issue, and falls into a moral gray area; if it didn't there wouldn't be controversy. You're on very sketchy ground if you want to argue that Tiller's murderer was acting to save millions of unborn.

The gruesomeness of a medical procedure isn't the fault of the doctor necessarily -- it's just the necessary method. It is fairly horrible, I will admit, but there's a fucking reason you can't just waltz into a clinic and get this shit done, you need several opinions from doctors before you can even begin to talk about it.

i hope you're not telling me to research late term abortion practices... you do realize that the reason late term abortions are illegal in 36 states is because people going around saying "they're murdering viable fetuses!", which is false. the fetus is aborted late term for health issues (either of mother or fetus), and must be approved by multiple medical professionals before it can be performed.

I chose that approach on purpose. I was pointing out the absurdity of using the argument you did to excuse something as horrific as late term or partial birth abortion. There is no medical necessity for such a procedure anymore, in any situation. Im not arguing against abortion either. I'm only arguing against late term/partial birth abortion.
