@thematthew123 Takes practice. Like this video here I used to film through the scope by hand, but I now use a mount. The mount, like a window clamp spotting scope mount, makes it easy to set up. But on bigger caliber guns its kind of hard to shoot and look at the camera while holding the butt stock up. Small caliber isn't hard at all. Benifit being you can replay the shot for verifycation, zoom in further while maxing out the zoom of your scope, and so on to your imagination.
@sav300 yea i just heard a rumor this mornin that we might be graduating in september cuz they took a portion of the trainin out cuz theres so many corpsman comin down here. i've really been thinkin hard about goin fleet marine force and headin into the sandbox for at least a tour
I don't get it? He shot at a mountain and hit a rock? Where's the challenge in that? Even if he DID aim at a specific rock, hitting a 10" x 14" slap at 800yrds is 1.25-1.75MOA, again, where's the challenge in that?
@MMABullrider First off lets see you hit it at 800. Aim? Get real there was a lone rock that you can clearly see get hit. The surrounding is sand and bushes. Challenge, its not a target rifle you dumbass! Plain Jane Tikka T3 in 270 with a 3-9 power scope. Nothing fancy.
And don't say you cant see the rock because after the shot you can see it clearly. So you can tell me MOA. Wow glad you can use google. Your knowledge must lack due to the fact you can't see the accomplishment of such a shot.
@sav300 Here's a little more info for you, coming from a 10yr veteran of 1,000yrd F-class competition with rifles that cost more than your shitty old trucks...
First off, you're an idiot for owning a Bushnell Second Focal Plane scope with a Mil-dot. The mil-dot is ONLY accurate for ONE magnification, and should only be used in First FP scopes.
@sav300 Secondly, you're a liar about the range. In your self proclaimed Bushnell scope, the target rock (now that I looked more closely and can see it), sub-tends 1mil in your mil-dot scope. 10" filling 1mil means a range of 277yrds. Even if I'm generous and say that the target is 14" and filling 1 mil (which based on the video it actually looks to be about 1.2mil) then the range is 388yrds. If I use 1.2mil, which looks more accurate based on my screen shot, that's 324yrds.
@sav300 And third, Tikka T3's are great rifles, I've never seen one that out of the box didn't offer 1MOA, so no, making a hit on a 14" target at 800yrds is not difficult, even for a slack-jawed kid running around shooting shit out of the bed of his truck.
@MMABullrider Why dont you pause at 26 seconds. Then compare the mil-dot! And if your such a genious, what power is my scope on??? It's not a bushnell, Millet Tactical. You should look at the background beyond my scope. If you claim 10 years then you should recognize the distance!! Your not too observant if you didn't notice the shooter laying on the ground in the first 5 seconds. Still want to keep going?
@MMABullrider Ok then lets do! Remember saying this, "The mil-dot is ONLY accurate for ONE magnification, and should only be used in First FP scopes." ??? Ya eat your own words asshole. Oh might I add that zooming in on my camera the reticle enlarges, why don't you take a look. Yup, proof right in the video. Why don't you go do some of your MMA move on a bull!! How far do you want to argue?
@MMABullrider Oh and shooting F class since 16 and now your 26? 10 year Veteran??? My ass! Lets see a video of you shit head!! I mean if your gun cost more than my pickups why can't you afford a CHEAP camera? Seriously thats got to just be pocket change right? You're pathetic.
@sav300 Last resort of the desperate... I've shown plenty of proof that you're full of shit, but you still offer no proof that any of the claims made by this video are true.
If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, odds are, it's probably a chicken shit...
@MMABullrider Hmm I call you to the spot and you can't back it up. You can't answer my questions, prove me wrong, or back your self up when it comes down to it. I think it's clear that you are the one thats full of shit!! And as for your proof...MOA.... that really shined through to the truth when I told you the details on the scope didn't it!!!
I'm looking to get a .270 bolt action for hunting. I know sako is good but very pricy. What rifle and ammo load would you recommend? Also, what range would you consider "pushing it" for the 270 caliber?
@vennieman1989 Well the rifle in this video is a Tikka and the scope I'm fliming through is on a Tikka. Both made by Sako. Very accurate rifles right out of the box and very light. Thats what I would I'd go with for a rifle brand and next would be Savage.
Depending on what you are hunting I would say go with Sierra 140 Gameking HPBT and load them up. The 3000fps mark is golden and would carry enough energy for an 800yd kill on a deer. If you don't reload, Hornady Superformce or Nosler, 600yds.
@vennieman1989 But if you target shoot then the above reload will take you to 1500yds, extreme amount of drop and subsonic velocity, but I've done it. Factory ammo doensn't come close to reloads so if you are wanting to shoot some distance, I'd recommend you reload bullets in the 135-145 grain area. Pushing it for hunting, 1000yds and I'm not going to reccomend it, but there are plenty of videos and people now days that have done it. Pushing it for target, 1760yds(1 mile). : ) Good luck.

So how do ScopeCam's work? How can you look through it, and have a camera right in front of it at the same time?
