dcosb09 - you are ignorant about the gtr performance, 12 secs is respectable for a GTR especially without launch. I've run mine 4 times at Santa Pod using launch the best time achieved was 11.7secs at 120.7mph. The GTR beats the R8V10, so V8 was going to be smoked everyday of the week
The GTR has excellent acceleration from 0-100 kmh (62 mph), due to it's AWD system. I don't quite remember the numbers but it's some where between 2-5 and 3 seconds.

I prefer a super car to be simple but have deadly engines and enough torque attached to it. R8 is made beautifully externally and internally but engine wise is zero and has got no serious torque in term of drag race. The GTR is much more powerful than the R8. And you might not reconize the GTR as a sport car, since it has the look of a sedan. But get use to cars like the GTR being reconized as a sportscar. besides it's a lot more expensive than the R8 aswell.
