Why didn't this make it on the Buckingham Nicks album? Maybe it was written later. I like Trouble in Shangri-la, but this is the best version of this song.
Sometimes Stevie's songs intertwine, just like "Forest of the Black Roses"" in the movie "Practical Magic". Does it really matter? The music is what really matters!
the beginning part (the instrumental guitar) of this recording is the song django from the LP, then they go into sorcerer. lady from the mountain was the original title of the song, and i guess that's what she (stevie) was calling it at this point, when it was less finished. but as far as i know they are the same song.
Actually.. there is speculation... In a demo of Lady From The Mountain she says "Lady From The Mountain*S* part 2..2, 1, 2, 3, 4" then she starts playing.. So this could very well be Lady From The Mountains part 1.. as she is introducing the song in the beginning of this clip as being "Lady From The Mountains"...
@deaddoc yes, because there is another song called Lady From the Mountain that is entirely different from Sorcerer. Search for it; it's on here. But as GeminiCusp says, it might be part of a chain of songs, like Rhiannon.

Well they were trying for that "Stairway to Heaven" Led Zep sound. Props for the effort as well as respect for everything else.
