i got a 5ft singing and dancing homer a couple of years ago for 20 quid on a car boot!!! its almost exactly the same as that but bigger!!! defo the coolest xmas decoration you can get :)

I got this Homer five or so years ago, after Christmas - it was 75% off at JC Penney's! A smaller version was subsequently released, but I don't think it had the "real" Homer's voice. As he only comes out for the holidays, he's still in pretty good working order. The box he came in, however, not so much...

On ours the mouth didnt work but after two hours tricky operation got it functional again, the wire on his neck got worn through had to take him apart, solder in a length of wire to bridge the gap and hey presto the motor that controls the mouth movement is now working again.
Not an easy job lots of screws and a lot of homer dissassembly, but it can be done if you are ok with electronics....homers severed ateries can be repaired lol...
Be sure to remove the staples at the back of poor Homers neck, and the bottom part of his mouth just pulls right off, then the head can be slid off the underlying assembly which can be unscrewed, but be sure to open his chest up first, which involves firstly removing his fat ass and belly lol.
Believe me it was as much a comical operation as a rewarding one to get fixed up. Especially as i screwed on his ass and belly the wrong way round when I put him back together!
