  • I was doing this with my mop and my mum walked in. Not sure what she was confused about, me making absolute retarded noises, or me holding a mop.

  • Oh this is great. I watched a tutchone native woman ( Champagne-Aishikih First Nations ) once, singing similar to her baby and I think it's wonderful, nothing 'scary'

Looks like fun rather, if people make for a competition.

  • VERY STRANGE TO ME, A PERSON KNOWING WHAT THROAT SINGING IS CONSIDERED. IT SOUNDS LIKE TWO SEALS ARE BUMPING ON EACH OTHER.

  • this is the sound of the earth!

  • Fascinating and lovely. I wish more people would be open/used to hearing music in its rawest form

  • I appreciate this! this is Art and tradition.

  • Hawttt

  • Ok I thought RAP was dumbing down of singing but it seems there is always something out there to take it to the next level.

  • @FICHTNER02 Rap is the dumbing down of singing because it's a new phenomenon, often paired with meaningless lyrics, and stupid allusions. This on the other hand is ancient, and it has deep meaning to those who sing it. Don't compare (c)rap with this.

  • @Dzongka This isn't RAP. It's CRAP. And don't tell me what to do.

  • @FICHTNER02 Ok then, go ahead and be an asshole. You seem to be part of a new generation of stubborn idiots.

  • Beat Box Original

  • at 0:37 i really wanted to someone to rush in and just go "AWHEEEEEEEEEEEEEY DO DWEEY DA WEombobawayyyyy. In the jungle, the mighty jungle..."

  • HEEEEEEEEEERP DEEEEEEEEEEEEERP

  • what the hell is the point of this? i dont get it why is this great to everyone . . .

  • @PurpleHat1991 someone doesn't appreciate cultures..

  • @PurpleHat1991 i appreciate cultures but someone really needs to explain to me what the heck is so amazing about making weird unattractive noises

  • @PurpleHat1991 "Unattractive noises" why? no feminine enough? Try to do it. This all started as a game, try it and you'll see its fun. Besides those sounds they do come from what they hear in nature, i think its beautiful.

  • @PurpleHat1991 It's an impressive feat. Not everything is about looking "attractive".

  • @YukiKyoHaruLover how in the world is this impressive? its just making horrid sounds

  • @PurpleHat1991 Try it with the skill they do.

  • @TheSaucyAuto how in the world does making those ugly sounds take skill

  • @PurpleHat1991 Obviously you haven't tried it.

You can kindly shut up now, you ignorant cretin.

  • @TheSaucyAuto hahahahaaaaaa

  • @PurpleHat1991 Well, since all you can do is snicker at us being more open-minded than you, I guess that means that you've lost.

  • @TheSaucyAuto no im quite open minded. im gonna start making a sport of me clearing my throat and if you dont think its talent than im gonna call you closed minded

  • @PurpleHat1991 Clearing the throat doesn't take training.

This (Inuit Throat-Singing), however, takes extensive time and practice to learn. They have coaches that tediously fix any errors in the sounds they make, and teach proper breath control and technique. Whether you like how it sounds or not is irrelevant.

Anything else you'd like to say before I make you lose any more credibility?

  • @TheSaucyAuto lol you made me lose nothing

  • @PurpleHat1991 True. You can't lose what you didn't have to begin with.

  • @TheSaucyAuto lol lets just agree to disagree. you are never going to be able to convince me that this is amazing

  • @PurpleHat1991 lol Agreed. Neither of us are getting anywhere with this.

  • @PurpleHat1991 You can fix uncultured and you can fix uneducated. Sadly you cannot fix stupid. You are fucking stupid. Have a nice day.

  • @IamYou86 hahahahaaaaaaaaaaa

  • kathy kettler is hot!!!

  • cool i like it

    very pretty women too

  • cool i like it

  • Keep your culture alive. Beautiful! :)

  • i had the privilage to meet karin herself, and had the oppourtunity to throatsing with her at a performance she is soo amazing..and i think the song they are teaching here...is hey baby lol it was a fav..

  • I remember seeing this on tv..APTN? It _had_ to be this very clip...and was fascinated by it. My mother and I were silly enough to try...and pretty much just ended up dying, laughing at each other's attempts...but we also loved the clip, and the fact that it was a form of entertainment even in its origin - given the women would have been in a pretty austere place! You need something to brighten things up, don't you?! :) *l*

  • I clicked on this link because the thumbnail looked like Tron.

Also Jack Black figured this out all on his own.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • my country's musical culture is done more with dance and instruments rather than words especially since you are supposed to make the animal sounds with a didgeridoo anyway

  • I think it's wonderful.

  • what am i listening too...

  • Sounds like Cookie Monster saying Mama Mia...Mama Mia!!!

  • After seeing the movie "snow walker" I totally want to met an Inuit Girl

  • I would so want to learn throat singing. Beautiful.

  • for me it sound like crap

  • Hakuna ma ta ta?

  • i just tried to get my ass to do this

    roger roger.

  • Sounds like "in the jungle" from The Lion King @ 0:34, "A-whimbawep A-whimbawep..." I was expecting the child to start bursting into "in the jungle the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight..."

  • beat box VS Air Box

  • This is one of the most AMAZING parts of pre-Canadian history.... and is an absolute shame that more people cannot appreciate this as a part of our history. We should be Happy to live in a country with such a culture in it... Makes me proud to be Canadian

  • They sound like a Carnival Tribe!

  • Sounds like Lady Gaga

  • very interesting that this form of singing is very similar to a Tuva form of singing just shows that we share the same historic DNA . I have often marveled at how similar Japanese spoken language is to many native american tongues, and this style of singing is the same so we all share common ancestry way back in the ice age.

  • @kyotovalentine well "according to many history sources" the first "natives in the western world" were those who crossed the Bering strait were oriental ppl. so maybe that explains.

  • very interesting that this form of singing is very similar to a Tibetan (or somewhere near there)form of singing just shows that we share the same historic DNA . I have often marveled at how similar Japanese spoken language is to many native american tongues, and this style of singing is the same so we all share common ancestry way back in the ice age.

  • i just tried to do this and choked on my own spit.

  • The connection between them is so strong, I can see it. It's like a true harmony, you can see when people are usually talking in say america, at the stores, or just anywhere in general that there is an imbalance. I wish it were simpler to describe or show people.

  • Haha I can just imagine my mom singing that to me as a lullaby. That would be pretty scary.

  • @CyborgNinja7 I Know right.. But i sing it to my sister at night when she pisses me off ಠ_ಠ

  • wow

  • Does this hurt their vocal chords!

  • @kardancer1

they don't use their vocal chords. Like the Mongolian throat singers, they control the volume of the air that comes out of their lungs by throat muscles constriction.

  • wow this is soo interesting! I never knew about this, thanks for sharing this.

  • I really like your throat singing. Good to hear the throatsinging you girls do.
