If you really want to see Cabaret dancing search for Eric Luna and Georgia Ambarian. They are Champion Cabaret Dancers. And yes it is a different style all together but truly fascinating and awe inspiring.

I thought it was very nice choreography. Such range of lifts and trick moves! Would have looked really good if they had been executed by dancers better trained in basic latin dancing techniques. A perfect example of why you should do it a step at a time.
I can't stand it when couples try to hide their inability to dance by doing tricks and lifts for most of the routine. This couple's rumba, cha cha and samba in this routine retained nothing of what the dances are supposed to be about and showed no sound Latin technique. I have nothing against people doing acrobatic floorshows, but please, don't call it Latin American, it doesn't need false representations such as these.
I really have to agree with you. Tricks can send a stronger Latin American message if they have that rhythm in the body but this is just going from line to line. Albeit from quite clean lines. But the dancing in between just doesn't rise to the occasion. I have the biggest problem with the aped styling and music and tricks and other parts of routine from Michael and Joanna. Please, whoever thinks about doing a show to this music, don't. Just like no one should touch Summertime by Billy Stewart.
@chinesechicken89 I agree with you that there was no latin in it but you relize that this also is a showdance.. and usually people do, do tricks to please the crowd as well.. but i agree it shouldnt be called "latin" dancing when there is barely any but yes this is a showdance so ofcourse lifts are amazing as well..
um this didn't really come off for me, since the music was used already by Michael and Joanna. Doin sumthin like this after M&J's performance just looks tacky. sry.
