  • How can you take a Magnum out of a car and put a Hemi in?

  • America!

  • Yep. 1964 Polara. Hard tops look nicer, like a Belvedere. After 1964 the Polara turned into an ugly mother...

  • drove my dads 64 Polara in high school 2005- 2007 and always blasted Skid Row in it, had a 318 Poly Wide Block motor in it.. no HEMI but still bad ass, now it has a 600HP 440

  • Posi? no... Sure Grip you fucking moron. Sell that car to real mopar guy and go back to your Garbage Motors shit you fucking chevrogeek.

  • nice car and good tunes to.

  • pawzee? what is a pawzee?

  • @cam509 It's what people with more money than brains that choose to show it off by purchasing nice mopars and turning them into trailer queens call a Sure Grip.

Really dude, sell the fucking car so it can go back to the track where it belongs, and go back to your chevrolet shit. We don't need morons like you in our community.

  • @Polybun Hahaha, harsh man, but funny.

  • Yeah, the music ruined the video for me as well. Anytime you gotta a 426 Hemi monster like this, I don't care if you don't own a camcorder, YOU BORROW ONE ... this video is so deserving of that 426 Hemi sound is that what you've done here is committed a crime against all mopar lovers.

  • @rthefley Not to mention he made a trailer queen of a hemi car. That's a crime against all humanity. Then the fuck tard adds insult to injury by refearing to it's limited slip diffrential as a posi instead of it's proper name, a Sure Grip.

I hope this asshole dies of cancer.

  • 4.11 limited slip, or 4.11 suregrip. Not posi, you retarded piece of shit.

  • beautiful car but it sounds out of tune ,get it. I crack me up. Thanks for the Pic's.

  • You said "Hauled ass" in the past tense. Did you sell it?.

  • @surrynet No, it means he ran it once, then put it on a trailer for the wrest of it's life to "protect the investment."

  • what is up with the music!! I want to hear the Hemi pls..cool car....

  • Car is great, but I rather prefer real rock n' roll than 80s' shit :)

  • The ideal automobile.

  • damn i bet that thing flies

  • Skid Row sux. Let go of the 80's man, I'm sure it was fun and all. I like the Dodge though, not 80's cockrock

  • would have loved to watch the video, but damn, the lame assed sound track made me cancel. too bad, i bet it's a nice car.

  • where is the sound of the car??

  • Back in '78 My grandpa bought a '64 440 with a factory-optioned 426 Wedge... He payed a whopping $2,800 for it.. That's what I call an investment.

  • new haven ct I owned one brings back meomery

  • Does it run?

  • @mario102395 you must be a import lovin piece of shit with that comment that car is like a piece of art and you are just hatin and jealous because your broke ass couldnt afford

  • this may be the ugliest car ever produced even beating out the pacer.

  • @mario102395 NOT ugly in it's day. Still loved by it's owner.

  • car is great...music SUCKS

  • with the back tires u can make 12 wheels for a prius xD

    great car man :)

  • @xXCREEKSTARXx Withe the price to replace a Prius battery you can buy 12 tires & wheels for this car!

  • @bobyoung53 I always thought the 440 meant it had a 440 Magnum Bigblock V8. Thanks for the fact! :)

  • hey maybe you havent noticed but you accidentally put airplane wheels instead of normal wheels

  • how much i want it

  • lets HEAR the actual engine!!!!!!!

  • You can't imagine how i can hate tuning, especially on collectibles like this one. But I must admit you done it the right way, in the spirit of those cars, big tires with small rims and not the opposite. Putting donuts tires like these ones just makes it more agressive.

  • Yay, another useless slideshow of pictures with a crappy song

  • Beautiful car, love those old 64's reminds me of one of my favorites the 64 polara!

    Cheers!

  • YAWN ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good song, wicked car

  • Its not a 64 dart. I have a 64 dart gt, and this dont look anything like it. It looks more like a 67.

  • Awesome car, next video, fire that mutha up!

  • Beautiful car, man....very nice '64....super clean, and nice mill......are you happy with it?

  • HEMI the best engine

  • hornjunkie its not a polara same platform two totally different cars

  • 426 with 650hp ok exellent, but 4:11?. what is you max speed? 110-120 mph?.

    and 650hp for 110-120mph, put please a 3,07 or 2,87!

  • @sebadeath99 just a fwiw.... I ran a 63 plymouth with 4.56 gears and the car cranked consistent 115-120 mph ... rpm was 5800-6200k at the lights.. we tried 4.88 for a while, but could hardly keep bearings in the bottom end & it slowed our speed down, but the et was about the same as the launch was forceful.. back then, 7 inches of tire was all you could run under nhra stock rules. so the 4.88 was pretty much useless at sea level, but worked semi ok at high altitudes like denver.

  • @sebadeath99: A 3.07 would give you an UNBELIEVABLE top end..........not good for drag set-ups though.

  • I would call you bad ass if this was your daily driver. Or is it? O_O

  • I agree with every body that gave this car Praise and the rest just don't need to say anything. I am a Dyno operator from the old highland park performance development center (tore down now)and was really looking forwarward to hearing this run. Cant get enough of that stuff.

  • MOPAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man those tires are almost as wide as my girlfriends ass!!

  • always wondered...is the push button auto a little awkward to manage while goin down the strip in this thing?...

  • @jbyrd0861 the push button was the easiest thing to use... they worked pretty much flawlessly, and unlike a stock lever, it is impossible to overshoot the next gear..

  • wow look at those wheels!

  • I have love for the Mopars. My first car was a 73 dart sport (duster lookin). 318 3 on the floor. Can't compare with this but it was stong for sure.

  • Damn I love this car.

  • Posi?? POSI??? you fucking retard, it's called a Sure grip, or a limited slip, but not a posi. Keep that GM nomenclature where it belongs you fucking retard.

  • Idc how cool you think this song is, we just want to hear the hemi.

  • BBoo this vid sucks!!!!

  • BOOOOOO!!!!!!! I don't want to hear 80's cock-rock when I watch vids of awesome mopars, I want to hear awesome mopars with uncapped headers! That is quite the awesome mopar, though. Kudos!

  • @singaporesling1017 fuck that... awesome song, awesome car. I welcome the 80's rock!

  • Ive got a question though. How reliable is this button shifter? For drag id sure prefer the stick.

  • Sorry man ...the typewriter shifter was BULLETPROOF...and no way you could screw up.....left the line stared at the tach,n pushed the button at the right time, secretaries could do it!!

  • So is it an automatic transmission someway customized to be activated from buttons?

  • No, Chrysler had factory pushbuttons from '56 maybe '57 for sure until they went to column or console shift in '65. The control unit in dash had two cables that run down to transmission.I raced a '62 Dodge with a pushbutton and it was flawless.

  • Ok,i myself own a 1987 Audi 200 Quattro,with a 4,2l V8,so im only familiar with manual/auto transmission.

  • saaaahweeet

  • Have you had this car in missouri?

  • Beautiful car! Mopar or no car!

  • sweet car dude

  • Fuck WMG!

  • "but hidden in her rickety old garage lies a Brand new shiny red super stock dooooodge" love it man

  • Nice Car ,The Car is a 330 Post car a 440 is a Hardtop

  • um..the "production hemis" didn't come in street cars until 1966.All those built in 64& 65 were sold only to proven racers and were not street legal & had tags, paperwork& window stickers stating as such. The only reason they were detuned & put in street cars was to satisfy nascar rules.

  • posi?? for fucks sake, at least call it a sure grip you faggot.

  • Its a Dodge 440. not a Dart. It is based off of the Dodge Polara. This particular one is a steam roller! Love it!

  • I was fixin to say it looks like a Polara.

  • its a dodge dart

  • its a dodge polara

  • almost looks like it should be a mommy car to go to the supermarket while daddy was fighting commies in vietnam and cambodia,

  • Is that a factory color? Whatsit called?

  • beautiful car...

  • Absolutely gorgeous car but wasn't the hemi an afterthought? As far as I know, the 426c.i. motors were wedge engines, not hemis in 64 and 65

  • Production Hemis came back in the 426 version in 1964.. a Google search will confirm this

  • ok... that's for the status update, I will log that stat in my brain somewhere. It looks as if the youtube gods have bopped your soundtrack. If's funny how much effort they put into that but don't care at all about that all those losers who have free reign to cuss their brains out on your thread.

  • @mrgears: "If's funny how much effort they put into that but don't care at all about that all those losers who have free reign to cuss their brains out on your thread."

Or people who troll................even their own videos.

  • badass, plain and simple

  • My thoughts exactly...

  • one of my dream cars this.....but yeah woulda gone the whole 10.5 route too....looks good though

  • thats tuff as fuck

  • cool car but you wrecked it with the big tub and cage. shouldve just streched the factory tubs and went with 10.5 tire with steel wheels.

  • did it ever dawn on you that he didn't build the car with your approval at the top of his list?

  • got traction?

  • mopars werent the sportiest things in the mid 60's...but man they sure looked like they were ready to take your lunch money.. they r very tuff looking .. very imposing

  • fatsest in a straight line though

  • forget the music,, lets hear the mopar,, please,, everyone, lose the music,, hear the mopar

  • cool car but 10.5 tires wouldve looked better!

  • Of course its tubbed...you think they came with wheel wells that wide..I doubt it.

  • what song did you use on this clippp tex in virginia

  • youth gone wild by skid row........i think

  • man SOOOO badass!

  • got to be a push button trans holy smoke out tex

  • is that sucker Tubbed or is it just me?

  • Whadda you think?

  • i have a feeling that its tubbed xD

  • all show no go need a burn out at the end nice car

  • name of the song?

  • The name of the song is Youth gone wild and the band is Skid Row!

  • thanks dude!

  • nice dodge dont care to much about the music cant we hear it idle at least?

  • Very nice Dodge 440 with this big tires .A beautifull Dodge for run in the street!! Mopar or no car

  • lol those are some NASTY tires.. must be be pushing just about as much torch

  • Oldies but goldies :D nice rig

  • Call it a sure grip, call it a limited slip, but for fucks fucking sake, dont' call it a posi. You should be flicked in the throat for that.

  • Exactly!!!!! I commented on that a long time ago, and never heard any return comment from anyone until now, so thank you! Also, no Mopar came with 4.11....it was 4.10 in either a Dana or 8 3/4. Sorry to be picky, but the posi thing kills me just as much as 4.11!!!

  • That's true but what if it's an aftermarket posi unit? Based on the car it looks like no corners were cut building the car so its possible that it does have a true posi

  • what do you mean dont call it a posi.there is either a cone type or dana power lock.given the size of the tires he does not want a spool if he likes splines on his axles.clutches or spider gears.dana 60 5 back lash on the unit and that is a POSI on my 900 plus hp street 572 it is.what more of a posi do u want.

  • Pure Muscle and class.

  • if it aint tubbed it aint shit

  • I'm pretty sure that the original hemi cars only had single headlights. I would much rather listen to a cackeling hemi than any music. Extremely cool car!

  • also can someone tell me the name of the song please

  • Youth Gone Wild - Skid Row

  • that car is sick !! i love the fat tire :D any muscle car wit a fat tire looks really nice but the engine is awesome!! nice car man

  • we're the youth gone wild!

  • i would have been a youth gone wild with one of those lol

  • What's it run? Clean Dodge.

  • Beautiful car. I have three 1964 Furys I'm working on, 4 door sedan,2 door hardtop, and a convertable.

  • sweet car! those mid-60's b-bodies have some of the most beautiful lines to ever roll out of detroit. no doubt that is a bad bad bad machine!

    -tim

  • Great car! Forget the "sour grapes" comments.

  • i dont want to seem like a know it all but i seen a show where they did dyno testing on engines and they used engines from plymouth, chevy, dodge, ford and i think one other anyway the hemi pushed out 820 hp stock so how does our only have 650? the engines were all from 64

  • Dear Friend : What you were watching was the Big engine shot out ,,, there was a Pro-Built Race prepared Hemi and a Poncho 421 and I think the Big Ford motor then the Rat chevy Now while there were QUOTE STOCK MOTORS there the MOPAR HEMI was not one of them Bud OK. use your skull pan 820hp is not a very Streetable Number wouldnt you agree Big fella?

  • yea. but i thought they said the engines were stock wat ever still a sick engine

  • car looks amazing. I bet your get crushed in that car seat when you pin that throttle

  • great car ... music so bad I turned the sound down.

  • Exactly what year were you born Bud ? I think I have a set of 4:56 gears Older than you .. Or was it My 780 CFM carb.

  • I was born in '64. I play guitar in a band. We record and get paid to tour and play. I know music and I know cars. I have a 63 Sport Fury 383 4-speed and I love your car but still bag the crappy music.

  • lets see it run, but very, very nice Mopar. And, best of all its still pushbutton! Sweet. But, talk is cheap about the horsepower numbers.

  • Sorry to be "that guy" and be critical, but I just have to correct this: if it's a Dana or 8 3/4 rear end, it's 4.10, not 4.11, and it's "sure grip" not "POSI"....unless you're running a different rear end...like an 12 bolt or something. That's all. Nice car though. I have a 70 v-code Cuda I've owned for 21 years, and it's getting a Hemi next fall. Again, nice car.

  • So what; just another cheap Youtube car video. Let's see it run to prove it has 650 H.P.

  • hardtops have the v shape.I own one.this is a 2door post they are more rare..nice car

  • one of my favs

  • I also researched the 2 door myth, and two door dodge can have a v-shaped rear pillar OR the rear pillar shown here. The four doors had the bigger, thicker, post shaped pillar like this one. Just web search the ramchargers 64 and it was a two door with the same posts, check it out. Super nice car and I would definently take one.

  • Sometime you just have to tell people "Whatever dude-you know it all".

    Thank you for that research-thenextbigthingohyea doesn't have a clue-just a closed mind!!

  • hey man its cool it wasnt even me who posted the coment was my brother who is only 13 and thinks he knows all. He did a little research when our dad had one and thought he was mr. mopar.

  • that car used to be a 4 door didnt it.

  • No - never was - was a 318 ac car/2 door

  • it was once a 4 door in its life I can tell by the roof right behind the second window on the side 2 doors V'd right there this one doesnt. I owned a 1965 coronet 4 Door and i did plenty of research and can tell thedifference.

  • yea-ok-whateever you say

  • 64 Polaras had the "V" shaped rear pillar. The 440 model had the broad pillar. Iv'e owned both back in my younger days.

  • Your a clueless f#$%ing idiot if you think that was a fourdoor.

  • hey man its cool it wasnt even me who posted the coment was my brother who is only 13 and thinks he knows all.

  • Stills or not...outstanding car.

  • Since this is not video, you should put "(stills)" in the title so we will know in advance there is no video footage here...
