Interesting video. I have been working with lye for years making soap. I noticed that you poured water onto the lye, instead of dissolving the lye little-by-little into the water. Pouring water onto lye can explode.
This video fully demonstrates the corrosive effect of strong alkalis on living tissues. That chicken foot shows a similar phenomenon to the one submerged in concentrated sulphuric acid (muscles decomposed).
Yes,people here usually use chicken feet to show the corrosive property of alkalis on muscles.
Besides, sulphuric acid is also extremely caustic. Not only does it cause chemical burn, but also additional thermal burn due to its dehydration property.Nitric acid is very corrosive too.
If you just done a murder. And you want to cleanse the scene. You mix this solution with bleach topically and scrub the place all over. Of course you would be wrapped head to toe in a body suit so you don't leave any trace of yourself.
Then use luminol under UV light to see if you left any strains.
Is anyone else a little petrafied by the chicken foot?? O.e .......
