This video gives a good example to how not only Wikipedia, but the internet as a whole is a place where there are no rules anything goes. You can do, say, and act however you want with little to no consequence.
Wikipedia can revise glaring errors but how about writing that actually seems true such as my example here. Users have a lot of power that one has to take user-generated content with a grain of salt. My second point is that the future of writing will not occur unless everyone agrees with the ethos of internet writing. There are so many who just game the system or use these sites for pointless drivel that it is not surprising no one thinks internet material is credible
