@jjp - We had motor mount brackets inside the tube cage box. These brackets were used to hold the motor in place and the beveled gears in the corners. The tolerances needed to be just right for all to fit, but they were fabricated that way and they worked just great.

Were your two intake motors only attached with one screw each? the gears looks like they would get in the way.
