If I'm on my deathbed and someone asks me to say something awesome for my last words, I'm going to say "If my last words are all you want to remember of me, then I did something wrong"
And then I won't speak again...which may be tough, considering who's in the room with me.
If John got the date right, then John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on the fiftieth anniversary of America. I can't tell if that is really good timing or really bad timing.
Help? My tribe is trying to gain Federal Recognition and I would appreciate if you could go onto the website* and sign the petition It ends DECEMBER 1ST !

@CaileeMarie3 He got pinkeye back in early Brotherhood 2.0 days (February, I think), and as a result, he had to have robotic eyes implanted. Of course, these eyes don't blink.
This is pretty interesting, although it makes me wonder what all the British Prime Ministers' last words were. I'm guessing they were mostly pretty dull :). Of course there were a lot more of them than the American Presidents so it'd probably be harder to find them all. Damn, now I have to know :D.
I actually knew that story about Coolidge! My sister is a politics nerd and she told me it. I think it's my favorite president story ever. And did you memorize the order of the presidents? See, you are a nerd!
You guys made me think that I might not even be a nerd because I also didn't even know half of the severed hands in star wars (I knew like one before I watched that vid) and I before this, all I knew was George Washington's last words.
Then I remembered something I know thats like this, but nerdier.
I know all the last words of all 10 doctors from doctor who. And the cause of death.
it's okay that you don't know the 13 severed hands of star wars. i've only seen one star wars movie all the way through, and i still want my dad to rewind the movie screen and show me thewhole in anakin's stomach (if there was a whole in his stomach at that time).
@1maz11 I guess.... both should be mentioned though.... You're thinking of Dumbledore, Sirius, James and Lily right? (Was Lupin there? I cant remember)
@Wrash16 Right. I don't think he was, no... But what about Cedric, Bertha Jorkins, and all the others with priori incantatem? And the portraits/ghosts? Certainly, they're not alive, but they still contribute new material and have the power to change circumstances. I was thinking it should be strictly words spoken before one died, because death is the actual event that makes the difference in relationships with those people.
@Wrash16 And at the end, some are dead, but still interact, so they wouldn't get any last words. Don't know. It wouldn't be fair really to act as though they did nothing significant after their deaths, so maybe it should be both. But I think if we didn't take it as their final comment, but rather as the final one before they suffered a complete and dramatic change/loss, it would be fine to stick with last words before death.
I've done it John! Memorized all the last words of presidents. After re-reading Looking For Alaska I've been hooked. I feel like I've completed the worlds nerdiest (and awesome) marathon. Now what?
This made me think of my nerdy system of remembering locker combinations. I never remember the numbers so I figured why not use presidents. Last year my band locker combination was Calvin Coolidge, Zachary Taylor, and Teddy Roosevelt. That would be 30-12-26 if you were wondering=D
John, have you planed your preferred last words, you should think about it now as I think the last throws of dying would not be a good time to think creatively
