  • my monitor have dead pixel..

  • thank you for your videos. The problem is i have replaced the capacitors in the power supply of a Samsung monitor (Power Board IP-35135B). I even replaced the ones that looked fine in case they couldn't hold up charge anymore. Still no success. Back light still doesn't lightup. I know for a fact its the power supply problem because i have tried it with a different known working one and the monitor lights up.

Do you have any solution? Could it be other problems such as transistors or coils?

  • lool

  • génial comme astuce

  • nice, from now on I'm gonna' go search in the dump every day!!!

  • i have the same exact monitor.

  • this monitor has just broke on me. I wiggle the Power cable and it starts to spark inside... can anyone help me???

  • It sounds like a capacitor problem, take it apart and check for bulging caps, desolder them and then solder on new ones.

  • nahh, i didnt have the energy adaptor, that was the only problem but i bough a LG 22" full hd 16:9 jst after

  • exactly the same like mine. DELL .

i have to push the power button for every time the screen goes off cuz the screen will appear okay only fr about 2 secs.

  • i got one of these monitors but i dont have the power adapter, can someone tell me where to buy it ? i only have the vga cable, HELPP PLZZZ

  • look at the attic maybe you find a AC adapter BUT first you have to look at how much power goes into the monitor

  • besides c922..is there something else that you could replace?

  • How did you know it was the capacitor?

  • hey my lg flatron monitor is over heating in 1 hour and turns it self of can anyon help?

  • I just bought a dell monitor and I wish it was in the dump too

  • that one little cap caused all that. amazing. ppl will throw away anything for any issue, we are a throw away society. thats why the best finds are in the trash. its just 1 small part thats dead, fix that and its good as new. I like that. I have the PSU brick from an LCD TV im eventually gonna fix it up and use it. I think it also needs caps.

  • I have the exact same monitor but a different situation. My brother threw something at the screen and distorted the inside of the screen, do you know of anything I can do to fix it?

  • wow! what a coincidence. I have the same monitor with the same exact problem. the same capacitor is slightly bulging... c922... im gonna fix it asap with sure confidence that it'll work. thank you

  • nice

  • yep bad caps (capacitors) are a big problem in LCD monitors min had 3 of them just barely bulging so i went to radio shack and bought 3 new 10v 1000uf for $4.50 removed the bad ones and soldered on the new one and works like a charm

  • the on i had show picher for a a sec but nothing then

  • dude i got the exact same problems on 3 of my monitors, and i have the same dell monitor, where can you get that diode or whatever thats called?

  • how did you find out that was the problem is my question.

  • shut the fuck up

    u idiot

  • shut the fuck up

    u idiot

  • dude i got same moniter, how did u take urs apart, my power button is broken, and i need to take it apart, plzz help asap thanks =)

  • LOL, I do the same thing you do

  • I have a dell monitor (model #E153FPb) with the same problem. Natualy that means my board looks completly different than the one one in the picures you've supplied. If there is any way you could teel me wich transistor it is that needs to be replaced on my board or were i can go to find such info that would be great

  • Ah, we should stick together, I have a similar problem, and have the E153FPb, mine will work for a while, the rain down some white squares then just go blank. The power button stops working and I usually have to disconnect it. After a while it will work again for a random amount of time.

  • They are capacitors and you need to look for any that are leaking or buldging

  • hey can u help me my monitor has a wired problem like i can't turn off my monitor and when ever i press the off button a lock comes up or it automatically changes the brightess of the monitor PLEASE HELP ME...

  • my motto is one mans trash is another mans treasure!!

I always have an eye out for freebies..... great job!!

  • i got a scratch on my lcd is there something u can buy to fill that in

  • I am so gutted I just threw one in the bin ahh crap ah wel ma dad bought me a 22" screen so its all sweet

  • There is also a common problem with the 173FPB and the 172FPB where 1-4 transistors are shorted. There is even a repair kit being sold with 4 spare transistors.

  • I have dell e173fpb with the blinking lights,

A repair guide says that it's probably a bad c5707 transistor. Well, I'm not sure how to check for a bad transistor, and I can't seem to find any bad capacitors. Can someone provide some advice please.

  • I found a site that tells you how to repair it if that is the problem. I ordered the parts from Digikey, that part number doesn't seem to exist. He suggested using TIP3055. I won't link directly too it so I don't get accused of spamming. Just google search "Jose Pino's projects and Tidbits".

  • Actually, I found that same page just after I posted that comment, and I found that only one of the c5707 transistors had gone bad. So, I replaced it, and Wala! It was easier than i expected. TIP3055 was the key, you can pick em'up at radio shack.

  • I have that same model and mine is broke to how did u fix it

  • You can do some research on google about bad capacitors, bad capacitors will bulge out at the top where good ones will be flat.

  • ooo simple!

  • how do you know that the c922 was bad?

i have the same problem but i donnoe which one is bad?

  • what modle was it? i have a dell e172fpb, wuld it work with that?????

  • replaced the bad capacitor in it

  • My question is: How did you diagnose that it was, in fact, the c922 capacitor that was the issue rather than some other issue with it?

I have the identical monitor. The power button stays lit, but the screen remains dead :\

  • thats awesome man...a similar situation happened to me today...i found a 17 in dell monitor on the curb with the same problem...how did u fix yours?
