I'm not really fond of dubs, but they did a pretty decent job on DGM. I only have problems with Allen, Kanda, the Earl, and some of the Science Department. :D Road's dubbed voice has got to be my favorite of all them though.

They overdid it on Kanda though.... And Cross too, now that I think about it. Especially the Earl.

Dubs of foreign language movies/films/shows are typically not performed as well as the original.

Things are lost in translation, there is a lack of creative input from the original crew, there is an issue of people not putting in the same amount of effort, and the quality of actors are different.

The French dub of The Simpsons sucked so hard that the subtitled version is preferred.

Mispronunciations of various Japanese words that have been pronounced correctly in other dubs; mugen and akuma.

Miscasting of voices such as Travis for Kanda and Todd for Allen. Allen could be debated for pluses and minuses but the Travis one is really undeniable.

The voice of the Earl misses the original intent of the comical/evil nature.

One more is an issue purely with the English dub, the lack of English accents. See Hellsing, Baccano, or Darker than Black for good accents.

@ArsenicSteel: Kandas voice actor does sound a little too old for him but Allens and Earls voice actors, well I don't see anything wrong with them. Allens voice actor in the sub sounds like a girl. And asked for mispronunciations... the voice actors aren't Japanese and most of the D. Gray Man characters aren't Japanese either aside from Kanda. So you can't expect them to pronounce it in a way a Japanese person would cause it would sound weird in English anyway.

This one's in the middle. while Kanda's voice kinda makes me want to cry, (Love the VA's voice, hate it on an 18 year old guy), I like the Noah's voices a lot. And Bookmans. I like several others, in fact.

Yeah, that's what I read, his voice sounds deeper than I remember. Like I said, I haven't seen enough of this anime to tell whether or not his performance in this is good or bad, but this asside, he actually is a good actor. I've seen him in other stuff besides VR troopers (and I have some of his music), and surprisingly, he's quite the talented individual...I really wanted him to get his big break, and when I heard he got into anime, I thought, "Man, his voice is PERFECT for that buisness."
