  • They all got laid after the show

  • I can't decide which I like better in a man: A man who can sing, or a man who can dance. Granted, it'd be ideal if he could do both, but that's so rare to find nowadays... I think my standards are too high...

  • @marcus2011uk Never to late to learn how to dance. Virtually everything these guys are doing in this video is bread and butter irish dance, the type of stuff a 4 ~ 5 year old learns in a dancing class, I know, because I learned it all at that age. The main difference is that these guys are able to perform the steps at an incredible speed, that part requires a great deal of practice and massive stamina. At my current fitness level, I would collapse after 3 mins of solid hardshoe dancing and im 28

  • Still impressed by this! Love Riverdance.

  • 16 people were beaten down like grain.

  • That is how REAL men dance

  • I've been dancing for 7 years and still can't do this. It's my goal as an Irish dancer though. I'm a dude too so thanks to the ladies who appreciate real men ;)

  • Honestly, I think men who dance are sexy. (and not that bump and grind stuff that's just dry humping) Think about it how many men love it when a woman dances? I just wish more men would learn a little bit of dance.

  • Its not fake it's called Riverdance

  • This is fake. People cant to that.

  • @RolandRhodes1 lol i really do hope you're kidding.

  • @Kaleidoscope998

    :) U guessed right

  • @RolandRhodes1 Yeah totally, I wish they could prove it like capture it on camera or something. Oh wait looky there.

  • Comment removed

  • wow. Seriously?! 15 people disliked it? Must be people who are jealous of their rythm and looks. Oh well. Their loss.

These men are drool worthy not only for their physical appearence but for their endurance and courage. Two thumbs up. :D

  • whoever says 'real men' dont dance, honestly give me a break. also 15 people missed the like button

  • Super chicos!!!

  • 15 people were beaten down like rain

  • For some reason, these guys remind me of the Jets from West Side Story. Maybe it's the badass attitude.

  • @bgdancer100 For me, These guys remind me of the Greaser gang from The Outsiders story

  • Woot! i love these guys! i was like dang theyre HOT! (if you dont look at theyre faces) sad but true! anyways this is my favorite dance of riverdance EVER!!

  • only REAL sexy men can dance like this!!

  • Não me vou cansar de dizer ao MUNDO, amo-te Princesa.

    Quero-te muito

  • so hott

  • i love riverdance!!!!!!! i just finished part one and now i am on part two.my teacher cries at the last performance of part one.

  • This is like Greece meets The Othersiders on stomp! Totally epic!

  • my sister is getting married .and i would love something like this as a gift .she got me into it when i younger . ive seen a few preety shit ones .my buget is 800 .

  • i saw this live and it was soo cool!!!

  • In every culture men dance....partially in warrior cultures. The only differences between men and women dancing is what is highlighted. Males display their agility and power. Women their grace and femininity. Point and counterpoint. The eternal circle of life.

  • When my dad did his national service back in the late 40s, there was a male dancer in his barracks. Some plonker made a comment about his sexuality and before he could say pas de bas, this guy had picked the mouthy twit up and threw him clean through a dividing wall. He kept his gob shut after that!!!

  • Just Amazing :D x

  • that sounded nothing like a thunderstorm, but i don't care. it was friggen awesome.

  • REAL MEN DO RIVERDANCE!

  • Too all those who say real men can't/don't dance. Well, check this out, and try to do better!

  • Aaahhh... I totally forgot how Pat Roddy and his beautiful dance style here and of course his leather trousers get me hot under the collar!! SO much better than the forst time they did it, this is the best version of Riverdance ever made! Being an Irish dancer myself I think this is such a treasure- long live Riverdance!!

  • We Irish kick major butt. Real Irish men dance, and the ladies love it!

  • @ShadeHeart94 yes indeed, please do give me a dancing Irishman any day of the week.

  • im proud to say im irish

  • great dance, expresive.

  • I dare you to watch this and tell me "real men" don't dance.

  • who ever said real men don't dance: I'd like to see you do scissor kicks and not fall flat on your face, as well as those ridiculous triplets they do too. Step dancing like Tap or Ballet is not for the weak; you need to be strong as fuck to be able to create the right amount of power, or to hoist some hundred pound chick in the air and make it look good. Do insult if you've never tried it dipshit >>;

  • @bad2bone Amen brotha

  • @bad2bone That means alot to me because Im a guy. I started Irish dancing at 3. I stopped two years ago and i regret it. I was in scuh good shape and now being 16 Im excited to start again

  • Beast.

  • wooooww only guys!!

  • To think some people claim "real men" don't dance. Give me a break.

  • In fact, it's the other way around.

  • I agree with you, what does dancing have to do with being a real man. I love a guy that can dance..

  • @lanternwaste When im Done here at Blackpool at Phil Winstons, I going to go to ireland especially to learn this! :D

  • saw that live and hairs on neck stood up

  • This is the best version of Thunderstorm by far. Flatley and his group never put half as much energy into it as Pat Roddy and his crew do here.

  • This is so much better than watching Flatley with his stupid mullet.

  • ouch, knees; ouch, back; ouch, ankles. imagine kicking yourself during a scissor kick.

    awesome, kudos

  • @kevinlew41 i've done that, and i lost my toenail.....hurts like all hell!!!!!

  • they do with their feet what "normal" people do with hands...the speed...the rhythm...amazing!

  • This is so insanely good live

  • i love it :D

  • very good and amazing lower body fitness but can you lose the leather pants...good god mate!?

  • That is a GREAT LINE for we Scots and Irish!!! We will NOT go down; we will NOT BE BEATEN DOWN LIKE GRAIN!!!!! Every time I watch this vid it evokes a powerful pride in my Scots/Irish heritage!!

  • It's a powerful line because it was the motto of the Fianna, the legendary warriors of Ireland...did no-one else pick up on that?

  • WE WILL NOT BE BEATEN DOWN LIKE RAIN!!! And in the process, we will dance like SUPERMEN to prove it!! GOOOOOOO RIVERDANCE! I loved it when it was in Dublin, and even more when I saw it in Dallas!! YEAH!

  • These guys remind me of "The T-Birds" (It's totally a good thing!)

  • love riverdance!!!

  • i love river dance how do they learn to dance like that?? i wish i could go and see them live.

  • I just saw this show on Friday night, and this has to be one of my favorite dances! But I'm coing to realize that there's not one down side to this show.

  • where is it playing?

  • If you go to the main Riverdance website, they have their tour posted there so you can see if they're performing near you.

  • I first saw "Thunderstorm" in the original Riverdance (on video) when I was a kid 10 years ago. More recently, I saw newer versions on Broadway and Busch Gardens.

Regardless of the newer interpretations, the moves (and Riverdance as a whole)never ceases to amaze me. What a show indeed!

  • Dang, it;s crazy that peoples feet can even MOVE that fast!

  • this one's alright....does sound really good, but flatley's is still better!

  • you have to remember, that flatley was once a member of riverdance group.

  • i can dance like these guys cos i go to lessons

  • this is lord of dance withouth music, exactly the same moves

  • It sounds better with more guys but I think it looks better with fewer like the one with Flatley

  • OMG hot lads dancing :O and they can move. gosh i wish i could dance like that. now i think of it just dance full stop lol ! wow ! they have crazy legs it's so cool! they must spend alot of money on the flooring though and a pair of shoes. LMAO <3

  • This takes me back to when I saw Riverdance at Wolf Trap near DC. These were the guys I saw. They blew me away then, and it still blows me away now. The rythm just gets into your soul, becomes a part of your own heartbeat. As long as I live I will never forget the feel of the step.

If they'd done this on Superstars Of Dance the Irish would still be firmly in first, instead of out. How can they be out when they dance like this! Stupid judges probably couldn't feel the heartbeat of the storm.

  • OMG that is sooo amazing!!! its really cool how they are all in time, it says of MONTHS of practise, to make this really work. fantastic, really well done to all you guys!

  • Who's the lead guy? He's awesome!

  • The one in this video is Pat Roddy.

  • Wow...this was beautiful!

  • Duuuude! It's NOT Michael Flatley. Look again!!

  • Thats What I want to do! I'm ok at Irish Step its so myth like it me.

  • i want to learn to do irish dancing like that but im not irish my dad is but im more filipino

  • I would like to thank Colin Dunne for allowing Pat Roddy to take the lead here, unlike Mike Flatley.

Love the "BOOOM!" at the end. In many ways, I perfer this New York show over Flatley's.

  • Rember, when this dance was first performed it was for the original Point Theatre production. No one knew "Riverdance" was going to be such a phenomenon so it's no surprise that Michael Flatley, the choreographer, also took the lead as he was most certainly capable of it!

  • This entire show was the best, imo.

  • what is this version?

  • Notice:: No steel... Only leather and pure passion. Irish dancing at it's very best.

    Dancing with ATTITUDE!!

  • i thot this version matched the mood of "thunderstorm" more. although the original was fantastic too.

  • For me, it's the contrary!! I prefer the Thunderstorm with Pat Roddy more than the one with Michael Flatley. I don't like very much the Michael's style in riverdance but in lord of the dance, he's amazing!

  • It has SERIOUS ATTITUDE! Get over it! A thunderstorm DOES have attitude.

  • I would so have loved to see Pat Roddy and Eileen Martin dance the leads! Pat rocks the house here and he's one of the irish trio in trading taps. He's fantastic!! Anyone who was lucky enough to see them in Riverdance: On Broadway--you're so lucky!

  • this is how it should be, flatley has taken it way to far with all the strippers in his shows now etc.

  • what?? do clarify, please.

  • watch some of his more recent performances on here, it has drifted from this kind of performance.

  • THERE ARE MANY VERSIONS OF RIVERDANCE WITH CHANGES OF PERSONNEL OVER THE YEARS, BUT I THINK THIS RENDITION OF THUNDERSTORM IS THE VERY BEST! IT HAS attitude!!!

  • saw them live in VA a few years ago my fave parts are the tap dancing and the thunder

  • how insightful

  • Why must his comment be insightful? I went and saw Riverdance lately and I have to say this was one of my favorite parts. And I'm not being very insightful either. Does that bother you?

  • I agree with...barfbag? That's kind of a different s/n. Original though. =]

  • That must take alot of practice

  • Not to sound pervy or anything, but these guys must have lower bodies made of ROCK! :D

  • icky!...Lolz

  • Wow

  • mmmmm, my favorite. Cute guys+ Irish Dancing+ leather pants.

What more could you want in a performance?

  • yum.

  • Nothing, absolutely nothing.

  • mmmmm, my favorite. Cute guys+ Irish Dancing+ leather pants.

What more could you want in a performance?

  • I WATCHEDD THIS!!!!!!!!!

  • This exact show?

  • That's amazing!

  • Amazing! the concentration! the dedication! i envy them.

  • I saw them in Austin, Texas and the show is AMAZING!!!

These guys are so gorgeous, all the irish men can riverdance?!? That would be wonderful, lol ;)

    Greetings from Mexico.

  • Hmmm.

    I prefer Flatley overall.

But I prefer this guy in this dance... he's alot more serious and less flamboyant than Flatley, which suits this dance alot more.

    Well I think so anyway.

    It's fab.

  • i like the enddin

  • boys doing riverdance is so kl

  • Bravo -- well done!!! The only thing that takes away from this version is the editing. The original was filmed brilliantly to showcase the progression of dancing and synchrony through the line. This cuts away too much to feet/face closeups. But this lead is very good.

  • to be honest, i think the lead dancer in this dance was better than flatley was when he was on riverdance

  • absolutely right, in fact I really feel flatley takes the magic out of riverdance, he's just a very good dancer and nothing more while riverdance is magic

  • I had not seen this version, and must agree. I never liked Flatley, aside from his mastery of the dance form. This guy is a guy, working at his craft, superbly; not a smirking curly-haired darling showing off.

  • I can't dance anymore due to an accident. This video makes me aware of what I am missing. They are fantastic!

  • Yeah, I had to stop dancing a few years back due in part to medical issues. For a while I couldn't watch stuff like this because of how much I missed it, but luckily I can appreciate it again :-)

  • Love Riverdance! They're ending their show soon; I'm going to their last performance, and I cannot wait to see Thunderstorm! ^_^

  • favoloso!!!!!!

  • Flatley is still the king

  • I totally agree..i saw other versions b4 I saw Flatley and I most def like Flatley better.

  • ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!

  • SO MUCH BETTER than the Flatley version! I loved it!!

  • true

  • dude... theyre not wearing tights you jealous c***!!

  • Rofl

  • How butch!

  • Impressive!

  • cool

  • preeeeeeeeettyyyyyy

  • so damn cool, and hot!

i need to find me a riverdancing man haha :D

  • oni sa cudowni :*

  • how can you not love this stuff!?

    BEST EVER!!

  • If you're inhuman, maybe.

    maybe.

  • haha well even if you are inhuman you can love it!!

i mean look at me! Im about as human as a stone coated in glue

  • I wouldn't put it past riverdance to seduce a stone coated with the thickest glue.

  • its like a film Happy feet ;D

  • Fantastic!

  • From a female's point of view, they are quite attractive, fit and can dance....the shirts are fine with me.:)

  • HEY LOOK its THE OUTSIDERS riverdancing! lol its all the greasers !!

  • i was at that show

  • lucky you

  • Los amo... de mis partes favoritas del show...

  • Love the dance but NO ONE looks good in those shirts XD

  • It woulda been a-lot better if there were females in it...

  • Awesome.

  • I saw it at Wolf Trap. My cousin dances with them now.

  • I was lucky enough to see Riverdance on Broadway in 2000, with Pat Roddy dancing lead! It was an unbelievable show. I always loved this number because there is no music or external rhythm to guide the dancers, its all internal. The fact that the dozen dancers can stay synchronized like that for the entire piece is very impressive. Long live Riverdance!!

  • who is the main dancer?

  • Pat Roddy

  • hahaha... this is old too...

    and simple...

... my choreographed version is much more complicated...

... all riverdance steps are simple... its how all 40 can do id in syncopation...

  • If more men channeled their testosterone, machismo and energy into this kind of activity then the world would be a happier place. Absolutely fantastic!

  • Amen to that!

  • I'm a Male, Irish Dancer with Trinity, and I still can't get enough of that number from Riverdance!

I just moved into Pre-lims, and I'm loving the added competition! It makes for a more challenging, and enjoyable experience for me.

Great clip, and I'm glad you posted it! Not many realize how fast contemporary Irish Dance is growing...already there are over 9 Irish Dance schools in Milwaukee alone!

    Thanks again!

  • It's indeed sounds like rain...

  • I would have a fine lower body, if I did that regurlarly

  • Great footwork! Thanks for sharing this clip.

  • BEEFCAKE!

  • i'm pretty sure this guy was only the main dancer in this piece. for the rest of the show the main guy was some dude in a gotee (who is way better than michael flatley anyway)

  • That'd be Colin Dunne.

  • I saw Riverdance in Toronto last year and was completely spellbound. You can't tear your eyes away when seeing it live!

  • Really cool, like rain in a storm!

  • We saw Riverdance last year at the Pantages in Hollywood...8th row. As good as they look on the screen, it is mind-boggling in person to see feet move like that. Spellbinding

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

  • how sexy was that

  • makes my Irish roots grow up like an old oak tree!!

  • Riverdance is the king of the dance battle no matter what you say... One of the hardest skills to maintain. I love it. Pure art and original.

  • Lovin it!

  • Awesome, thanks for posting! :D

  • look at those leather pants...how can he MOVE in them??? he truly is an amazing dancer...
