  • Our school is putting on Aida right now, and our Zoser was wayyyy better! Sorry, but it's true. And the ministers danced way better!

  • I think they kinda missed the creepy factor. And its all Zozer's fault.

  • @cpfuzzie what school do you go to my school is doing the same play?

  • @nonaku10 WIMS

  • my school is doing aida, and i have to say that it looks strange to me since the ministers are male-not enoughs guys auditioned, so the roles were filled by girls. also our zozer is a sevie and he is better. this guy is terrible.

  • @cpfuzzie is/was the opening 2/10/12?

  • @Purrplegal98 yes

  • @cpfuzzie wow. We did a good job. Opening night away...

  • @Purrplegal98 great okay so who is this lol.

  • EGYPTIAN NINJAS!

  • the german version is better

  • 4:34 what the hell was that? Hold the notes or gtfo. lol

  • So my school is doing Aida currently. We are using this video for our music (temporarily) and by god, we can't help but mock this guy. Our Zoser is better by far.

  • Good voice this Zoser, but his acting sucks (sorry!) my college's theater company just did a production of Aida and their Zoser was so energetic, so vicious, plus an amazing, commanding voice, I cant help but comparing

  • I didn't Realize ministers was sang for ninjas

  • awful acting, at it's best

  • This guy look like the Man in Black from Lost

  • CAN WE GET A BETTER ZOSER HERE ANYONE??? This guy smells!!!!!!

  • @Puppies140 I'm playing zoser in my schools show. the difference is, I can act.

  • im sorry, but i topped this guy. I play Zoser in the Lauderdale County production of AIDA at MCC. Instead of just standing there and singing, i add funk to it. Plus, i look alot more creepy than this guy, and act a lil more creepy.

  • He has a pretty good voice, but the choreography lookde more like a Tae-Bo class than actual choreography. Zoser, however, had great presence.

  • lol wow i thought they were supposed to be ministers not ninjas

  • it's not that he was bad...the whole song just seemed too long...

  • ...really. Just...Really? Zoser was good in the beginning but gradually decreased in impressiveness as the song goes on.

  • y'all are being jerks. this guy's pretty good! not exceptional, but pretty good.

  • he has an amazing voice. but the lack of choreography and chorus took away from it. i'd give it a c plus, since it was simply dependant on his voice alone. needs visuals!

  • @heyyoubitme actually. i'll give it a b plus :D

  • The choreography is so boring. The ministers just stand in ninja stance for half the song. Our production was so much cooler.

  • This deserves NO COMMENT

  • im zoser in my school show XDDDD

  • ... is it just me, or does anyone else find the costumes strangely reminiscent of China? O_o

  • Zoser is supposed to be a badass, but seldom do you see a badass Zoser anywhere.

  • @jackskellingtonsora Meridian Community College, in Mississippi is doing this play and i have the lead of Zoser. Im performing more like hes a sly son of a bitch, trickster ya know, but with a solid rock voice until like father like son where i belt out a oprea singer high note on "SON" at the end, its badass. when we get the dvd ill post it

  • this guys got a terrible voice. why do all of the zosers on youtube blow

  • our school just did this, and it was way different. Zoser for you had an ok voice, i mean when he doesn't scream the notes he sounds good, but when he gets too loud you can hear his voice crack

  • he was ok

but i just saw this play performed by a high school and the guy that played this part was soooooooooooooo much better...

    wow

  • Beautiful voice for Zoser, but a weak male chorus, mostly because it was so small. The simple choreography would have been pulled off better with more people and more precision.

  • Carolina Forest's choreography was so much better. :)

  • the choreography stunk...needed to be more creative especially with that awesome music..the lead was good

  • i love the zoser but the choreography was a bit boring.. i don't think i could have done any better thoughh, so good job :)

  • gah that guy was so freakin boring so was the choreography thank goodness i have an amazing choreographer!!!

  • you'd probably need better trained dancers to make this scene work.

  • Awesome job!!

  • I wish they would have done more set wise. It's just kinda un-entertaining to stare at the same background. Same with the blocking/choreography, it seems to concert like and not like a musical

  • this guy is so boring

  • Again.. not very precise on the notes, the way an angry authoritative Zoser would be.

That's the first thing I thought about when I played this role.

  • The poster of these videos plays Zozer. I thought he did pretty well, not in this song particularlly though. The last note of the song, as well as all the other held notes in the play, are supposed to bring it together and he hit the notes lower than they should have been. Blake Ewing(Who played Derrik in Full House as a child) plays Radames. I loved him in this because it seemed so perfect for him:D.

  • awesome voice, bad characterization, shitty scenery lol

  • come on, you don't have to have great scenery for it to be good.

  • well i agree with you, and my schools doing this play and im stoked to see our secenary

but like i said before, awesome voice, perfect for the part

  • and i don't have a problem with that

  • everything about this scene was stiff..the lead coulda really played with the character some more..and the choreography could have been more exciting as well as the lighting..however the leads voice was dreamy!

  • You did so well as Zozer! Really good job

  • i wish i could see the entire play again. i haven't seen it since 2002 i think. the ymta did fairly well. i listen to the album often and this is not far off. couple of nasty patches but not enough to get upset about. though i wish the videos were in order on the playlist.

  • I am absolutly in love with this play and they did it so well. I saw every video and it was so amazing

  • i know i've commented a lot on these videos, but letting some of u know, a musical doesn't have to have a lot of props to be good. some of the best musical have simple sets and costumes and props, or even very little sets and props. so don't make bad comments cause you had more props or better props.

  • come on, Zoser is great!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, not to be dising or anything, but our school's Zoser was better than this one. Plus our stage was much more colorful and there were more people singing and they all had sticks and stuff.

    :D

  • I just got back from seeing my school's production of Aida, and I gotta say that our Zoser was a lot better.

For one, he was carrying around a staff during this song and at 3:48 started shredding it like an electric guitar - it was freakin' gold! :D

  • ah we just had closing night for our performance of AIDA it was amazing id have to say our zoser was really amazing but he is like just one of those people who can be truly evil with that stage presence but you guys over all with all your parts our AMAZING good job!

  • i suddenly realized where our director got some of the choreography for this song for our play last year.

    hahahahah.

doc covs is a silly goose.

    very nice job though!

  • Whats with the grey hair but brown facial hair?

He's got a good voice, but i didnt really dig him for the part.

  • does anybody know how to upload content from a dvd to the computer? cause i want to put my school's production up here.

  • If the DVD is unprotected, simply copy the .VOB files to your computer, change the extension to .mpg, and edit them in a video editor.

  • how do you copy them?

  • wow, this is awesome! I just saw a children's prouduction of Aida, and suprisingly, the person who sang this was a girl. She sang it more blues-ish if that makes sense. :)

  • we did this for my schools musical last year, and id have to say, i like the way our zoser sang a lot more then this one did. i say that only because he was actually able to sing this song an octive lower then how this guy sings it. it really does sound much better when it is sung a lot lower, it also makes him seem a little more angry because usually the villians in musicals do usually have somewhat lower voices.

  • You're Zoser seems... blah. ("...traitor..." as opposed to "TRAITOR!")

Ours is a friggin' rock star.

  • the dancing isn't that great...lacking so much energy and...goodness.

  • It's too bad you can see that he is much jonger then he's pretending

  • I love this song. Just, his voice doesnt seem to quite suit this song very well. As secret said, it needs to be belted out at certain parts and singing on the off beats more. He's got a great voice though.

  • at my school we did this play much better and the guy playing zoser sang just like clay aiken it was excellent

  • we just finished our production and we kicked ass.

  • do you go to stow? they did a good job too!

  • why are the egyptians wearing ninja suits?

  • XD you are so right!!!!

this is my favorite song though!! so all is forgiven because they did a good job... though he seems less... maniacal...

  • i agree zoser has a great voice but yeah i think he could be a little more angry

  • hmmm zosers voice is good, but not for this song. He seems way to calm, hes not belting out in the right places or singing on the offbeats to giv this song its bluesy/ reggae feel.

  • my drama teacher wants to do this musical next year! i cant wait! this year we did BatBoy.

  • His voice was good, and the choreography was great, but i didnt see much zoser. evil and powerful....just wasnt there. i think he could have done more then paced back and forth... but it was awesome.

  • Wow, that was amazing, but compared to our choreography, it looks like your Zoser is backed by ninja ministers, lol. Nice voice though.

  • Hmm...the voice isn't good...sorry! There's a afro-centric/ jamaican raggae to the song but i don't feel it.

  • i got cast as zoser for our school's production. i wonder if this guy could teach me...

  • 6 ministers?

hehe i'm zoser in our musical, and i've got a PLATOON of ministers!

this zoser's got a nice voice, not great acting in some parts tho

    nice job! =)

  • my school is doing this production this year , i liked most of the guys in my classes voices but this Zoser is great

  • Wow. Very asian about halfway through.

The tempo is a little slow for my taste, but Zoser has an amazing voice :]

  • My highschool did this musical this year and ever since I saw it I've been in love with it. This rocks!!

  • (continued from previous comment)

All that aside, I loved the dancing, it was top notch and fun to watch. The set//drop was simple, but did so much. The scrim lights helped capture the mood extraordinarily well. Lastly, Zoser had an amazing voice, and did this song justice.

  • I loved the set and Zoser, but the costumes and coreography seemed too Asian for an Egyptian play...

Also, the Ministers didn't have much energy, I could barely hear them on the off chance they sung. Zoser singing their parts also sounded a bit tacky, and him being miced didn't help the Ministers too much.

    (continued)

  • It's good but he's not that scary. My friend was Zoser and he was really scary. The dancing was sort of slow. Did he kill the guy?

    ~!ldschick33!~

  • If only you could've seen Tre do it... that's the best Zoser I've EVER EVER seen! Even better than Broadway (I know... I've seen it)

  • Best Zoser ive ever seen

  • haha We left Egypt for a moment and went to Japan. Sweet. A lot of money in this production, but not a lot of energy or excitement... These kids make me mad.

  • haha :-)

  • this kick ass

  • He sings this good

  • tightness! awesome set too!

  • Why does Zoser have an army of ninjas?....

  • this version is too slow and the dancers didn't put too much energy!

  • i played zoser recently and i wanted to sing another pyramid like this, but my director yelled at me, and told me that i wasn't supposed to be sound like this. so she took my mic away, and made me fight with band to be heard, and grrr.

but if i were her i would say that the zoser in this video is a punk, and that he lacks the power and menacing that zoser requires.

  • ^ that sucks.. i hope it turned out good anyway
