  • gosh this is so beautiful! but the person singing the song sound a little on the disturbing side

  • I'm sorry to say, but it sounds like Alvin and the chipmunks are singing. But still a beautiful dance.

  • haha..I'd have to agree and its not unusual to say that most of the vocals for this dance group sounds like this lol

  • Hey can anyone tell me what dvd this performance came from?

    thanks in advance!

  • its from this live show khmer new year dvd...there's no producation name or anything sorry.

  • how come the music is high pitched? and where did u get the dvd from? i really want it!

  • the music is playback. I notice this dance group hardly perform with live music.

Anyway, I bought it at a video store in Long Beach, CA. There, they produce all sorts of dvds that you might not find else where.

  • actually this is not people from rufa it is from another one called the apsara association

  • thanks for the correction :) I knew it wasn't rufa, but I was trying to intrepret the american name from the khmer name..."bonti vapathor/vichet selapak reach tiny Phnom Penh" ....haha.

  • robam makar is a dance suite, it is connected to the story of moni mekala. this is just a dance on its own.

  • what's the difference between this and robam makar?

  • I'm not exactly sure. Robam Makor is suppose to represent some kind of mythology...and I believe Robam Phlet is just a form of entertainment (?)

  • This dance is for giving well wishes to the King. While Robam Makar is used to pray for rain by connecting with the gods.

  • great performance! thanks for sharing bong :)

  • no problem paoun..glad you liked it :)
