If and when they reboot x-men at marvel, they need to give it the team from the show-Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Rogue (actually Rogue, not Anna Paquin's version), Gambit, Beast, Jean Grey, Professor X and have it more grounded in the comics. I want to see a mask on Wolverine at least and a form of the 90's animated theme
But I'm still curious as to how different things might have turned out if an entire generation of kids had grown up watching a full series of the "Pryde of the X-Men" style as opposed to the 90s series.
It's such an interesting theme song as you get the cheesy chant of the team's name with the deep, evil narration from the beginning which just gives you chills as well as the heroic boast about how the heroes don't quit. I think the words 'crazy awesome' work.
@ Pruefan26: All of the X-Men animated series are based on the comics to some degree and in their own unique ways, but the shows are not directly related to each other (i.e., X-Men: Evolution doesn't follow up from the Fox Kid's X-Men series).
BTW, I thought you asked this question before (?).
Eh, maybe mine's better synched, but I totally give you props for visual clarity on your intro! Yours is clearer and sharper than almost anything else I've seen on YouTube. :)
"Pryde of the X-Men" was the test 'movie' that eventually became the 90s "X-Men".
"X-Men Evolution" was a reboot, and stands alone, while clearly tying into the movies.
"Wolverine and the X-Men" is the newest reboot, hoping to tie-in with Wolverine's feature film and ever-increasing popularity. With no real connection to either show, but some similarities can be seen. Making it sort of a spiritual successor.
I'm with PrimalWolf2006 on this. I like all of the animated adaptations, but the Fox Kids series is my favorite on all levels, and I think it's a pretty good comparison to the comics for the most part. The others almost seem like "alternate realities", in their own ways.
i remember buying an xmen vhs that had this theam on it and soon after my friend stole it from me befor i found out what it was from. i know xmen but witch one
The theme song is from Pryde of the X-Men. It was originally supposed to be an animated series, but it simply didn't for some reason. It also served as the basis for the 1992 X-Men arcade game made by Konami. You might come across the VHS in pawn shops on occasion.
@ Pruefan26: I don't think so, but Wolverine's been pretty popular, especially in the movies this past decade. Because he's become such a prominent character, I think they just wanted to have an animated series which takes advantage of that. I don't think Wolverine hogs the spotlight too much though, so it's all good.
As for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it's the telling of his early life, getting his adamantium skeleton, everything up to when he forgot about his past, long before he was an X-Man.
That was cool.

Wow.....I really liked that opening with the Pryde theme. Excellent job, man.

@JahnosSardonis Your right!
That would be totally sweet!
I read in Revolver Magazine that Disturbed lead vocalist David Draiman grew up a fan of the X-Men Comics.
Maybe some day it will happen!

even though it has its annoying obsession with wolverine the newest one i feel is the best adaption of the comics to animation
DiamandaHagan 2 years ago 3
I'm going to disagree on that, the 90's Xmen was the best, it and the 90's spiderman were like the comics come to life

Man, if you don't agree that Wolverine hogs the fucking spotlight 100% of the time, you really need to read comics from the last 20 years.
