So I have this crappy Xbox 360 cooler I never used. It's power cord is nearly identical to that of my emu 0404 usb. Long story short, I ran 7.5v into something that was only designed to take 5.
Anybody know what components I should be testing first?? Fuse??? TY
Anyone able to get this working on OSX Lion? - Seems the drivers are written for PowerPC and only work on Snow Leopard if you boot in 32bit compatibility mode - unfortunately this mode was removed in Lion :/
Were i can find the electrical diagram for E-mu 0404 ? I searched all the internet but nothing .. All the lights on the board stay lighted and the Right channel A for microphone doesent work , and the B channel have a strange background noise..
I just bought this sound card. I have it connect to a pair of M-Audio monitor speakers. I'm not into recording music. I just want to use it to listen music and watch movies. The sound that comes from the sound card is pretty flat and it doesn't have an equalizer like my on board sound card had. My question is, which program can I use with the E-MU that let me use an equalizer in order to boast certain frequencies when watching movies or listen to my cds. Even some presets EQ will be nice.

An excellent piece of kit, especially for the price! I'm using it on my MacPro, and the sound quality for both playback and recording, is awesome! The many I/O options it has, are also very nice.
im running a laptop with windows vista 64bit and 4 gigs of ram, is this going to work well with my computer? i want the latency to record to be really low since im going to be recording vocals
I just ordered this sound card, and i decided because of all the good reviews and feedback from different forums.
The guys in here that had bad experiences with it is propably because their computeres are to slow or to obtained in the USB buss.. Not a good idea to overload the com with mouse, keyboard, midi-keyboard, printer etc. etc. Unplug all unnecessary devices while recording.
and since i`ve posted about this audio interface ....i also want to buy a RODE NT1A condenser mic.. it`s around 200 euro and i`ve heard that it`s a great mic ! what do you think ???peace
The RØDE name in itself is a Quality Stamp for good results.
I'm also going for RØDE. I was advised to buy NT2, but it always depends on how much you wish to spend. I work at a music-store with instruments n' stuff, and we have the RØDE K2 at stock.. MMM!!! but its expensive! maybe 3 og 4 times the price of NT1..
I have had nothing but problems with this god awful piece of crap. What would typically be chalked up to "Latency Issues" - dropped sound, distortion, "clicks & pops" - are a constant. I've downloaded correct drivers, tried every possible angle - this thing is crap.
Guaranteed I will not go with USB again - in fact I'm going Mac Desktop with a firewire mixing console - enough messing around.
I wanted to highlight with this video card in question is to say the least bad. Unfortunately I had not yet microphone to record voice, my next video will sound. I await with interest your review. soon
