I have a merc 470 and go a Lot slower than u do I hve a 17ft boat how much would a 4 barrel carberatur help please tell me

@thebigmann25 A 4 barrel carb gives you up to 20 more horse power and better acceleration. To change the carb from 2 to 4 barrel you would need a different intake manifold and fuel line, and a newer style valve cover that has the mounting lug to anchor the throttle cable. Most of those parts are no longer available from Mercury, best to shop around and scavenge parts from other engines or shops that can part out the pieces. Prices vary because those parts are in demand.
