Jon this is an EXCELLENT video! It's as close as you can be to being in a plane and watching out the window as you land. In fact I'm going to share with my mom, who is afraid of flying, so she will fly down and visit me more often. This way she will get more used to the experience of flying because this was done so well. GREAT job, and thanks for sharing with us!

Have you ever seen the "shock" wave on a wing?

My wife and I sat in line withe wing to see it.

Conditions were just right, (I believe sun was on the horizon) and I videoed the verticaline appearing to rise perpendicular from midwing abouthree feet.

It slightly distorted images behind, similar to a heatwave line. Seams in the wing made it discernable and clear on video, especially when I zoomed in.

I'm so happy that (a) you shot in full HD and (b) you kept the

camera position in one angle and resisted any urge to zoom

I just happened to fly to SDF 2 weeks ago. Little did I or my student know that it was Kentucky Derby weekend. Talk about busy! Fun stuff, though. Parked our Seminole between 2 Citation Xs at the FBO. And there were hundreds of private jets parked on the taxiways. Delicious Cinco de Mayo dinner, although we really wanted BBQ lol
