he's basically saying that it's a great honor for him to be in France cause he owes much to France. French music was an "important lesson" for him when he was a little boy ;-)

at the end he refuses to talk politics (the interviewer asks about his feelings towards the situation in Poland under the communist regime). i think he's pissed off because all french journalists ask him the same question instead of being interested in his music...

Spławia :) Kurczę, po raz pierwszy widzę mistrzunia na oczy. Jego koncert na orkiestrę z motywem krakowiaka to dopiero miłość.. Ładny ma akcent, ale mówi jakoś nieskładnie. Mówi też z jakimś mieszczańskim rozluźnieniem jakby się rozpuszczał. Ale wolę zachowanie Lutosławskiego od monumentalizmu Mistrza Pendereckiego. Z resztą nie ma co porównywać nawet resztę.. Jeden od piękna, drugi od brzydoty tak jak z boskimi Monetem i Picassem.
