The original drawing was a sketch done in a style used in animations mostly. It has the complete base outline of all items regardless of how much is shown in the final product. Items being, head, eyes, body, hair, headset, ect all independant. Most likely from a hand sketch scanned into a computer (I know I can draw on the computer without having the image first done by hand or from another source). So I would call this, finalizing.
