  • OK, sounds like Dr. Gary Habermas just said that suffering exists because suffering is good. In the context of Christianity, that means God created suffering, because he deemed it good.

  • So does this mean suffering is good and necessary? Wouldnt a life without suffering be more worthy to live? Shouldnt eliminate suffering be our goal? Why was god so heartless to Jesus? Couldnt he forgive mankind in some other way?

  • This leaves me with the same taste in my mouth as if they were waxing poetically about the logistics of Santa delivering all the presents in one night.

    Retards.

  • I believe the living bubonic plague bacteria that causes tremendous human suffering, open sores and death were created as a result of evolution by natural selection.

Any other explanation is too horrible to believe.

  • Meaningless waffle.

  • Hei Hufflewaffle, the story of Christ is not mythology, it is history. I know what is mythology, as I come from Hinduism background and that's mythology but Christ is very different, His personality, His Word is entirely different. I would like to ask you to Study and then see how beautiful and true the Bible is. You will find all the answers in the Person of Christ. Don't see religion, see Him. He indeed washed my sins and made free from every guilt and condemnation which u can also experience

  • @raghunice Sorry but you clearly have no clue what a myth is.

Religion IS mythology. It's a constellation of metaphorical images, narratives and characters that reside and grow in the human imagination.

Christianity is burdened with a unique contradiction in its historical claims of Jesus. He can ONLY be proven under an evidence-based, materialistic worldview. It then however, turns around and claims this worldview is too limited when applied to questions of 'miracles' and cosmological truths.

  • Such a strange convoluted mythology. Yes life is suffering. Existence in time is suffering. Why? Because loss and separation - that's why. Life is a process that feeds on itself in order for it to live. Every day at dinner time we are responsible for the death of another. Loss and separation.

Life is tough and to make things worse, we evolved the ability to know just how tough. NOBODY is going to wash away your 'sins'. Take responsibility for your life and get some dignity back.

  • @Hufflewaffle ...leave this religious garbage behind.

  • @Hufflewaffle Isn't that the exact same thing that got Lucifer kicked out of heaven? Being prideful that is...

  • @b00km4ker pride and dignity are two very different things

  • @Hufflewaffle

Leave this religious garbage behind? Funny, as it appears you yourself have trouble leaving it behind...

  • @JesusMostHigh Yes. I admit having trouble ignoring the dissemination of blatant ignorance when I see it taught to people who deserve better.

  • @Hufflewaffle

Ah, so the professionals with the relevant credentials are the ones spouting ignorance, whilst some bitter YT critic with nothing more than unsubstantiated assertions is somehow the Savior of true knowledge. LOL!

  • @JesusMostHigh No, the scholars, the thinkers, the artists are the ones with the knowledge. They always have been. I highly recommend reading some real literature. Its those who strangle their 'knowledge' by clinging to an archaic belief system that continue to spout ignorance - they just don't seem to know any better.

  • @Hufflewaffle

Yes, the scholars are indeed the ones with the knowledge, like Gary Habermas and not you, for instance. Moreover, I am well acquainted with 'real literature' why do you assume otherwise?

I am not clinging to an archaic belief system whatsoever. I have formulated a Christian worldview based upon evidence, reason, logic and experience. I used to cling to an atheistic worldview until I realized there was no evidence whatsoever that Atheism is true.

    =)

  • @JesusMostHigh You "formulated" a christian worldview? Oh please share your 'formula'. I'm intrigued!

  • Bravo. Yes, and if we suffer with Him we shall also be glorified with Him.!

  • Ask Job if he was surprised!
