Thanks for the comments. I've actually contacted them again about getting another whip made because I was so happy with this one. I won't be receiving it until after the new year I suspect, but I've got enough to keep me busy for quite a while. I don't know what the core of mine is, but I do know that it's 16 plait.

I've looked around here and you are only one of two people who have a whip from Noreast. Just the other guy doesn't respond at all. Well I'm really glad I decided to get one of their whips over the other choices for nylon (Western Stage Props, eBay, etc.) Thanks!

Nope, I just tipped the tripod over. It was close to the ground so the camera was fine.
