  • Stevie was hot...even with that giant brillo pad on her head.

  • My middle name is Sarah :)

I love this song...and Fleetwood Mac to pieces!!!!!

  • Mann, tha name of bassist is Johnny or Jonatha? Because I'm from Brazil and Johnny = João but, Jonatha is johnny?

  • The bassist is John McVie.

  • Jonathan = John = Johnny

  • and Joe?

  • Joe is derived from Joseph, not Jonathan.

  • ok man thank you. Look the message I send for you

  • When Stevie and Lindsey start on coke? 1974 maybe?

  • But Stevie is very relax in this video! What do you think? ...I think she was very sad

  • Yes,. when they're on coke.

  • Where she is looking in 1:52?

  • Jonathan, the bassist?

  • I think she is looking for lindsey buckingham, the same is on coke

  • lindsey should never have had a haircut!

  • Great song! Great band! Importa realmente si estaban drogados ó no? En mi opinión son fantásticos! Super god sang! Det er lige meget om de var på stoffer eller ej, sangen er simpelthen fantastisk!

  • whoever that was that she looked at on 1:15 will never forget that I bet

  • This is my song.. by my Best And Only Love...~ I Will Alway's Remember You... ;-)

  • Such a beautiful song- brings back many memories- like back in 80s when I brought my first cd player- the first batch of albums I got was FM and the song Sara was most loved.

  • She is so stoned

  • Sheer class performance from one the greates bands ever.

  • Que buena rola......

  • Stevie Nicks with a nose full of the entire Columbian Gross National Product is still far better than 90% of the stuff that's out today, period.

  • Comment removed

  • the coke or the music?

  • Love the way you put that and you're right;)

  • LOL...you are so right! Nobody can sing like her...not now or ever!

  • No, they're all obviously high.. I've seen worse, though.. Keep in mind, they're all still perfectly fine today. Haven't you seen Stevie recently? She looks (and sounds) great. This performance is great, also.

  • I never did any heavy drugs so i really can't tell that they are high, so im not tuned into the whole drug discussion. Great music! I always have a hard time believing Christene was into drugs, she hides it well if she was using

  • and btw that was 30 years ago and I really doubt the most drugged out of anything performance wise on see on youtube today

  • Oh come on lots of us were stoned then - it was the 70's! Look at her now she still rocks and looks great

  • and i think its true of the whole band for bonus points

  • we have a winner in the most obviously coked out performance on youtube category.

  • ok ...lol i guess she performs like crap because she's coked up or w.e. watch some guns and roses videos..then comment here..least shes not pissed at anyone in the audience and leaves the stage not finishing the set like axel did so often..

  • true love music xoxox not the shit they have out now days.

  • Those were the days...Sex,Drugs,and Rock and Roll...Sounded fun. :)

  • I agree with alwaysopen. I preferred to listen to the radio than to watch tv. I liked what I heard then. Now, I can barely tolerate it. Run by corporations and advertisers....oh well. great song, great voice and thanks for posting it.

  • i think i have met my match he was singing and undoing laces, undoing his laces

  • They were all totally stoned. I'm surprised they could keep a beat.

  • I thought that this song was about her failed relationship with the drummer

  • Please come back to the UK and tour.

  • they will be in UK in october and nowember this year!!

  • Hi, Do you know which venues? Where can i find all the info? Thanks, matthewsnicksfan

  • Found it. Thanks, November 2nd Sheffield Arena. Great!!!

  • the video stevie nicks-sara-live is the longer version a litle over 5 minutes shes dressed in black

  • Those were the days!

    Wow! people with real talent.

  • Her voice is haunting. Throw in Nick's "chick a boom" and you got a hit.

  • One of the best contralto voices I've ever heard!

  • The absolute best performance of this song!!

  • for those of you that maybe interested they will be in Australia in december, can't wait

  • man, these people are good...

  • fleetwood mac are the best.....bring it on

  • She was so wasted back then.

  • still better than anything today. Do you like Snoop?

  • If he smokes weed.

  • this song happens to be about her unborn daughter with don henley .5 minutes into the song she almost cries; know the story before you comment.

  • The fact remains....

She was sooooo wasted back then.

She snorted 8 balls of coke on a regular basis, drank in excess and smoked until her voice is now ragged. It's a wonder she can breathe through her nose.

Do her present appearances not lead you to believe any of that?

A week of partying like that used to put me down for most of a month but, then again, I didn't have the money for another oz of coke.

  • whatever she has done; she is still a great artist; still has a beautiful voice. and she will always have a pretty face. your supposed to look for the good in others- not bad. isnt there enough of that in this world already??

  • always: I have to admit Stevie did a lot of drugs, but why doesn't anyone ever mentioned that on so many other artists YT pages? Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Deep Purple, Cream, Hendrix, Doors, Zep. Lee Michaels, The Who, CSNY, even Rob Grill (Grass Roots). Is it okay for males to do drugs in a rock band but not a female? Nicks still has a good voice, just lower and she's older, like , oh let's say Robert Plant who just turned 61.

  • As did Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and Jerry Garcia.

She wears it as well as let's say - Keith Richards.

    Give over already.

I am a huge fan of that FM period - OK?

I am not a fan of what has become of it.

  • What has become of FM is not so bad, they're touring this year. Uh, I mentioned Hendrix. What shall you have me "give over", eh?

  • Yeah she did all that, in an interview she was pretty frank about it. The drug taking was pretty much accepted culture in rock n roll at the time, everybody did it some of them died because of it. But she lived through it as did most of them and is still going and moved on.

  • recorded version so much better than live one but her voice its like melted chocolate trickling down the back of your throat beautiful.

  • "melted chocolate trickling down the back of your throat"

    Are you on drugs???

  • i read an interview where stevie said she felt this song didnt translate well to live performance so it wasnt included in their live set much longer past the tusk tour

  • I can remember all the chicks trying to imitate her when I was a teen and this song ruled.

  • Chic a boom

  • The song is about Mick's wife Sara..or his soon to be ex wife...

  • When she said ''...When I think I had match my match'' Shes look at lindsey !

  • she wrote that for Don Henley.

  • finally someone who agrees with me!

  • What a great version of this song. Stevie just looks utterly at home on stage here. This is a band at the top of its game.

  • Yes..... Stevie was clearly too good for Lindsey at this point.

And her voice isn't 'goat' it's absolutely amazing. Truly beautiful

  • music rarely gets better than this.

  • I have met stevie and the band severel times in AZ at the heart association and she is a very kind person and so is Mick buckingham...flush him... my bad?

  • dont you mean lindsey buckingham or mick fleetwood

  • i read somewhere that this song was written about a misscarraige that stevie had. the child's father was some musican (I thought from the band?)

  • I heard that too; miscarriage from Don Henley of the "Eagles". Also think I heard it was about her best friend, Patti, that passed away?

  • The best friend you speak of was Robin Anderson. She died of leukemia.

  • if you go online and look up "beautiful child-tusk"; the back -up singers tell all about what this song means; and your right -it was supposedly don henley .just scroll all the way to the bottom on that site.

  • This is the best version.. Not too much goat and just enough humanity nearly makes her.. ooh, yes, she's sexy here...

  • people and the old and stupid

    goat comment

the woman made rich with that voice

    grow a brain.

  • WHAT! LINDSEY GAY!!!???? REALLY

    man drugs make you doo

    WHOOHOO

    stuff....

  • some people have to get over the fact they took drugs or had sexual relations with men we all make mistakes fleetwood mac is truly the greatest band of all time

  • i totally agree, and come on they lived a rock n roll life, back in the 70's..... who wasn't doing drugs? oh i know michael jackson, but huh, look where he is now, and why he's there.... high or not, she is the best....."queen of rock"

  • she is so high.

  • Me Too LOL !!!

  • I think all the coke lindsey did made him experience sexual relations with men.

  • one of my favorites

  • I love this song!

  • the song Sara was written by a friend of Stevie`s they were in rehab together

  • 'Storms" is actually the song about her affair w/ Mick;) I highly recommend the book..lots of interesting info on Stevie. I bought it for less than $5 on Ebay. It gives a LOT of insight to each song.

  • From the book 'Read Between My Lines': '"If I ever have a little girl, I will name her Sara for sure. It's a very special name to me. And it is--the poet in my heart, for sure." When Stevie checked into Betty Ford for treatment, she used the name Sara Anderson. "Storms" is actually the song about her affair

  • I love the dreamy look Stevie has as she comes back to the microphone at about 1.38. She is so beautiful with a great style.

Buckingham/Nicks era 'Mac are so underrated- really sonic!

  • ,, never mind the drama in here about this tune. .. IT'S A GREAT ONE! .. STEVIE NICKS IS THE QUEEN OF ROCK, FOREVER!

  • She's definetely singing about Lindsey, a definited tribute, love and peace.

  • no; she is actually singing about her unborn daughter with don henley; it is written in his documentary. note the very last words of the song after she walks off stage. sad.

  • when she say ''Wehn I think I had met my match..'' shes look for lindsey

  • You caught that too. She is also talking about her affair with The Eagles Don Henley!!

  • She is actually talking about her affair with Mick Fleetwood.

  • where did you get this info?? she did have an affair with Mick, but I think you are wrong because Mick does not sing much, just plays the drums a lot. The song indicates the man was a singer, so it goes back to Don Henley or Linsey buckingham. OR MAYBE THE GUY DOWN THE STREET SINGING IN THE BAR? WHO REALLY KNOWS EXCEPT FOR STEVIE!!

FOR STEVIE NICKS: TELL US WHO YOU ARE SINGING ABOUT IN THIS SONG?

    Your Friend Rocky LeMar

  • do they talk?

  • The best Sara version-bar none. I just wished Lindsey would have had more time to do more work on the guitar. The beat of the song (John and Mick) is just sexy. Stevie's delivery is perfect-soft, gentle and touching.

  • This and Rhiannon are my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs. The band is great because they manage to write relaxing melodic songs but keep you constantly aware and interested in the musicianship, especially the guitar, drums and vocals for me. Great contrast in the two female vocal styles too. Ace band.

  • voor jouw moppentrommeltje

  • it feels so good to hear this song after all the times, great memorys

  • just something about fleetwood mac that is just special and entertaining very calm in a good way

  • Just breathtaking... :)

  • When I drunk , all the rums drives to this group ¡¡¡ Thanks Fleed, Wood and Stevie¡¡¡ BEST GROPU TOGETHER FLEED WOOD BOTH ARE THE BEST¡¡¡¡

  • Nothing bettert in the life that a bottle of rum a this music¡¡

  • Amen lol totally agree with ya!

  • esta rola es una chingoneria y siempre lo sera

  • I saw them twice during the late Seventies/early Eighties. And I saw them before either of the women or Lindsey joined the band, when they were Peter Green's backup band. And I'm seeing them this summer.

    Always changing but timeless.

  • If you haven;t already, you'd really enjoy Mick's book, " my twenty-five years in Fleetwood Mac. copyright 1992. Pete wrote Black Magic Woman for FM, but when Carlos did it at the Winterland Ballroom in SF around 68, it became his. Long Live FM

  • i was only 3 but id say my mama dance wiv me 2 dis......

  • Is true sound better Fleetwood Mac that Buckingham Nicks...

  • If you don't dig this song you don't like Fmac. Just a beautifully written and arranged song. This live performance ranks with my top ten. The 1980 Live CD is nothing compared to this one.

  • I'm born on this song and my name is Sara. lol xD

    xx <3

  • Thank you for the wonderfull music.

  • Always amazzzing...Thx Stevie

  • hahaha wonder how long this vid will stay on here before WBM get hold of it? Love stevie nicks by the way.

  • I think Disney actually owns the rights to this video. if I'm mistaken please correct me.

  • At the begining it says Warner brothers records, and i know they have been pissin alot of youtubers off lately...

  • when i hear this song it makes me remember the good times i have had in the last 35 years the are the best!

  • So laid back. I´d love to be in this band.

  • magníficos, extraordinarios, se me pone la carne de gallina cuando escucho esta maravillosa canción.

  • The rumblings of Lindsey's plucking emerging from underneath the verse is beautiful. keeping with the groove John and Mick sound smooth and are so good on the feel. Brushes-no sticks. Lindsey doesn't drown out her and really complements her signing and finally delivers the perfect outro. Not over the top but just a sweet melodic smattering of notes. Gypsy-esque I guess.

  • It's magical how this version is done. The piano and her voice at the beginning is a great set-up AND it had to be an upright piano-not a Rhodes, Hammond or other kind of key.

  • Happy Birthday Mick :)

  • Love it!!..Another cool band in my opinion.

  • ive scoured the net and i still cant figure out what the hairstyle she has here is called, anyone know?

  • genius.

  • if you think you can sing better and make more money than her than you have a right to comment otherwise shut your hole

  • u made my day for saying that. ppl dont appreciate fleetwood mac. they dont know what music is.

    rock on!

  • the fleetwood girs, great eh!

  • song gives me the chills...

  • stevie nicks a legend ,her music will never die.u go girl!

  • such a beautiful voice. enchanting.

the guy going 'yeaah' in the beginning kinda spoils the mood though. does he think he's in a motley crew concert.

  • sorry it was my first concert

  • ЭТО СУПЕРРРРРРР!!!!!!!!!! ВЫ ЛУЧШИЕ!!!!!

  • i love stevie nicks

  • She is so amazing I saw her in concert 5 years ago in DENVER awesome

  • I think we've all drowned in the sea of love <3

  • No...more like you are drowning in your drool!

  • Chaymus - wish her happy birthday from me!

  • I named my Daughter Sara after this song also :-) she is 12 tomorrow

  • stevies pissed during this concert, lindsey fucked up..again. shes amazing

  • many people are named after there music and rhiannon because there lyrics are awesome

  • im seeing them today at msg! :D

  • Saw them at the BOK Center in Tulsa and they were awesome. Stevie is the greatest.

  • I just saw them in concert in Florida last month.. They were amazing!!!

  • I seen them on this tour in Mobile, Alabama in Feb. '79 at the auditorium there... I still think of it, it was an awesome experience.

  • ditto!

  • i wanted to change my name to Sara after this song came out ... Stevie sings it so beautifully ... my all time fave FM song

  • this is SO my fav Fleetwood Mac song! =)

  • Ugh I can't get over how insanely adorable Stevie is in this video. What an enchanting voice.

  • Don't get people who does not like this song - magic!!!

  • these people are high on making great music. They succeded. Let em be

  • What lyrics, voice and talent! Stevie rulez!

  • to be a rockstar in the 70's and not be high, amazing... Anyways this song brings me back to when i was little and my father was at work and my mom would turn off the lights and play fleetwood mac, and i would fall asleep to the light on the stereo system, the equalizer going back and forth. Very relaxing music.

  • Lindsey was hot.

  • Nice. This song gave my parents the idea of naming me Sara when I was born!

  • stevie wrote the orig song using the word pyer which is a funeral pyer then she went on to use fire interchangeable whatever she decides...i do know what of i speak shes been my fav since i was 12

and im in my 40s now, i think your remark sounded smug and rude and i wont remark on your items again

  • My all time favorite version of sara...

    said youde give me light

but you never told me bout the pyer DAMN!

  • Pyer? There is no such word. How about fire?

  • Sorry 1Sherilynn21 but there is such a word - but venuswithahaton just misspelt it , as it's 'pyre'.

Anyway, who cares whether Stevie uses 'pyre' or 'fire' on any particular day, it's a great song and that's why we've all looked it up on Youtube.

  • Not to mention she wrote the damn song and can change it to "tire" and it would still be beautiful

  • this is my childhood before the rain and fire that seperated my family, i was young caught in the sunlight and dreams built around me, that was the time of my parents wonderland full ideas of love, peace, and mankind, i didn't understand back then that the realities of this world could'nt be fit into my butterfly box, over time this music has traveled with me through all the calm and rough waters, that I need not try to found what the world could not give me but that it is kept within my soul

  • Top 5 All-time favorite songs! Hypnotic! Want it to last forever! Every element is perfect!
