I am attempting to download the clockworkmod recovery. I have downloaded the premium version from the market and an unable to find the free version. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. I saw people have gotten it from 4shared but I don't know what to search or which one to download from there.

Team Hydra has a RC 1 release of zero hero sense 3.5 thats running pretty solid for me atm. Had to modify the APN to get MMS texts working. Other than that i like it alot. Takes a while to warm up though. I hope the devs over at XDA can optimize ICS enough to be viable on the heroc

noob to droid right here so be gentle with my question. I have a recent purchased hero that came preinstalled with the "2.1 update1". Radio version is 2.42.02.10.29. And no rooting process i have tried has ever worked. I have done the z4root (failed) unrevoked, as2root push through ADB etc etc. Nothing. However i was able to instal CM7 no problem which i do not know how that worked. I still show "S-on" on boot but i have no superuser access to anything. Does it have to have "s-off" to be root?

@djmolecular disregard, worked just fine. Just had some hiccups on start up like date was off by six months even though it was synched online. Had to reinstall easy tether to get it working, also my htc sync software. The only thing that is odd is that the icon on the lower right of main screen isnt a little paint brush looking thing like on yours. Other than that i like this alot more than CM7. Now i just need to get sprint tv back on for my daughter. Thanks alot xD

Ok, so, i downloaded the Rom manager premium, because i could not find the free. ended up getting the free off of 4shared (thanks jhverdream). lol so scared that i bricked my phone but.... dear god the kid is a god to me now. literally almost dropped one year upgrade price on a iphone 4s. lol dont think ill be needing to now. Just letting you now, this isn't Sense 3.0- it has some elements of it though. I do have a question though- what is the widget you were using for the HTC clock in the very beginning of the video? I'm trying to get my Hero looking as close as possible to Sense on CM7 (Sense ROMs are too slow), and I got most of it- just need the clock to be perfect.

This "update" sucks. It makes the phone glitch like crazy. Anything from not answering the phone when you want it to, not getting text, lagging like crazy and a few other things. If you want to the latest software buy a new phone.

Hello, my installment went good, now i currently have HTC Sense 3.0 on my HTC Hero. But there's some problems with it,

1. I can't set up my own Wifi hotspot, it keeps telling me "erro"

2.Sometimes(most of the time) it wont vibrate/notify me when ever i receive a text message?

3. Every time I remove a widget, and try putting it back, it wont show up anymore. Or if I just want to put an "HTC" widget, it wont show up in my homescreen

4. Live wallpapers won't work!!!

3. Make sure you have updated your binary code, this will show as an update in the notifications bar

4. Only certain live wallpapers will work, this is not the rom, but the phoone's lacking graphics

@titaneds73 Yes, I did have issues with the camera and wifi. the camera will freeze if you zoom in on it, and the wifi just won't work, no big deal, this should be fixed in future updates. The dalvik cache gets cleared when you (wipe data/ factory reset) in the recovery menu.
