The guy is gay and Republican? Wow, he is REALLY confused! LOL. Seriously, the one party in America that has systematically oppressed and discriminated against gays, he chose to adopt? What an idiot.
I dont get this Im confused this preacher looks gay himself HAHA LOL why is a gay man preaching self hate. what a clost case. by the way why is he only 18 i mean come on in ten years or less from now he will be out of the closet feeling like a moron.
Why should gay people have to be tolerant of judgemental Christians making a point of being there purely because it's 'gay pride'! Christians come in, denying biological evidence which clearly states that homosexuality happens naturally, telling people that the magical sky daddy will send them to "hell" for being that way. This guy probably didn't say those exact words but it's the belief system he is following and - YES - preaching! He didn't come to hand out cookies! MYOB, narrow-minded tard!!
.All men are equal. Therefore we all deserve the same rights but should also choose our actions out of goodness and what is good for others. When God created adam and eve did he create other men and women to live around them also? No.But what if he did and adam chose to be gay and be with a man and eve chose to be gay and be with a woman?People would not have continued to exist that would have been wrong. If ALL men are equal and adam couldnt be gay then how could it be ok for you to be gay?
I'm sorry that he put his hands on you, just know that like most Christians (usually more so), homosexuals are calm, well educated people who can hold a conversation without resulting to violence. Just like the person you are talking to in the video.
@h0lystrike i have absolutely no problem with christians and others peacefully talking people who are interested in becoming christian, gay straight or bi, what i do have a problem with are the nutjobs, on either end of the scale, who try to be violent with their words or actions trying to dehumanize others and take awya thier fundimental rights to speak and be heard. i personally respect all faiths and keep my beliefs to myself as well as being a proud lgbtq, whether or not they
@KyleOgilvie1 I happen to agree with you, in that I cringe when either professing side tries to put their point across in a violent, disrespectful manner. well said
@Mark612Ministries Of couse you think having wisdom and knowledge is a bad thing. Because it contradicts every word you say. You really have the mental capacity of a child.
@JWC3RD Because men wish to control sheep like you and tell you who to hate, rape and kill. God has nothing to do with it. 'God' is a complete man made fabrication designed to keep you mired in fear. Quite successfully I might add.
@JWC3RD There's a difference between knowing right from wrong and what you call 'sin', however 'right' and 'wrong' are still entirely man made concepts. Everyone 'decides' what is right and that decision will always differ man to man. So who are you to dictate? A fool who worships a story book. I'm not gay but I have enough common sense to know it's not wrong or a sin. You only think this way because you're told to. Sheep.
My favorite part of this video is the convenient 'fade out' at the end when the cops returned to 'move them on', most probably for intentionally causing a disturbance. I especially love the ignorant 12 yr old 'preachers' they get to share their 'word'. That kid has no life experince so who's he to tell anyone how they should live?
Christians hate truth. I like seeing people spewing anger and hate at Christians and Jews. They deserve it. Religion is fucked up bullshit. I believe in reason and science. I don't believe in any fucking stupid religions.
This "preacher" was assaulted by one single person. On the other hand, how many stories do you hear of homosexuals being tormented, beaten, even killed?
This "preacher" should be telling these people that God loves them instead of calling them "sinners." They aren't "sinners." It's a fact that sexual orientation isn't chosen. Sin is a decision. It's a decision to do wrong when you know better. When you have no choice in the matter, how can it possibly be sinful?
@efy324 So you are saying something cannot be "sin" if they "have no choice in the matter"? So someone can say they are born an axe-murderer or a child molester, or a "whatever" and it is not wrong/sin because they have "no choice in the matter"? Would your argument hold water if a married man cheated on his wife over and over again and said, "I can't help it, I'm born this way. I don't have a choice in the matter." Your wisdom/knowledge is warping you. Read and Obey the Bible.
@Mark612Ministries I'm referring to sexual orientation. Sexual orientation is in fact, not chosen. Cheating, molesting, etc. is obviously chosen; your arguments are invalid. No, if one has no choice, it isn't a sin. I HAVE read the Bible; my dad is a Pentecostal pastor.
Now, tell me something. Did you choose your orientation?
@efy324 U don't see it. U justify sin by saying there is not a choice. Now hair how tall u are ur sex those types of things are already set in stone, but not who u are attracted to. Did I choose my sexual orientation...most definitely.I choose to go after women and not men. I choose to be faithful to my wife. I choose not to kill people. As I said, if u say "I'm born this way", u can say u r born ANYTHING. No way! Read the bible and obey it. Your wisdom and knowledge are warping you.
@Mark612Ministries Really? So, tell me about the day you "chose" to be straight versus being gay.
I'm gay, and I know for a fact I was never faced with that decision. I've done everything possible to "change," as well. I've forced myself to sleep with girls, I've been to counseling, I've taken Exodus International courses, etc. Nothing works. I spent 18 years of my life begging God to help me change. It wasn't until recently that I was able to come to terms with who I am.
@efy324 What these antagonizing preachers fail to recognize is their Bible tells them that the persecuted and rejected of society are the very apple of HIS eye - never let any misguided preacher rob that from you - the first shall be last - you are so very precious to HIM as you are - nothing you can do - sexuality or otherwise can change that fact........Go Be You.....and let your wonderful light shine!
@tartandaddy I wonder if you would say the same thing to an adult who is attracted sexually to children. Or someone who is attracted by raping women. Or someone who "just can't help" killing people. I doubt it. Of course, those things are wrong in your sight because, well, because you say they "can't be born that way". It's hypocritical. God's law is written on your heart. You know it is wrong. You justify your lies and sins by making excuses. God has spoken. It is sin.
@Mark612Ministries I don't tell lies and I would insist you retract that.I also see a fundamental failure in your understanding of sexuality. Preditorial sexual acts, along with other criminal activities doth not an argument against same sex relationships make - even though statistically these acts are carried out by mostly 'straight' people - they happen as a result of a multitude of causes from mental illness to downright evil.If you didn't know that you have a lot of reading to do an maturing
@Mark612Ministries You sell such certainty without even knowing if any of it is true (and if your research history (oh no - a real subject) it's unlikely), yet you accuse all and sundry of lying and sinning. You really are a disgusting person. Your entire money making ministery is based on the oldest lie of all time, yet here you are accusing those who have no choice, of having a choice purely because you leave all of your choices to a book. You make no real choices. Your life lacks the courage.
@Mark612Ministries where is your compassion? Do you have any idea how many young people are tortured at school, rejected by their families, rejected by society, live in fear, brutalised, attacked, scorned, hated, judged, outcast.......yes and then their is high youth gay suicide rate. Who in their right mind would 'choose' that? You are blessed to have a 'normal society acceptable sexuality' I am truly happy for you - but please desist from this harmful, cruel and isolating theology.
@tartandaddy I don't in any way condone the evil that others have done to homosexuals (or any group). Christians have been persecuted as well. "Christians" have also persecuted wrongly. But, regardless of all that, homosexuality is still sinful. Again, I say, if someone says they are "born that way" or whatever, then they can say they are born ANYTHING and justify it as "ok" because they "have no say in the matter". God says it is wrong, so, you CHOOSE not to do it. Period!
@Mark612Ministries you do condone the evil that others have inflicted and you,by your messages continue to fuel the fire of homophobia and give justification to those who believe every Gay person is more sinful than any other person and as a result deserves to be destroyed. Hitler used the Gas chambers - maybe you wish to covert or destroy? with that un-gracious,un loving, vicuous cruel and judgemental spirit - do you not understand you own a ministry that is repulsive. Do you enjoy hurting?
@tartandaddy I see your methods used at Gay Pride events and it holds no credibility whatsoever, you see LGBT community as sinful, where are your banners and followers at the 'sin if homelessness' 'the sin of starvation''unemployment'health care''war'racisim'......this list is endless - you and your followers are obvious by your absence. You vindictive Bible interpretation along with targeting the Gay community is Sin. May HIS Spirit melt your cold and hardened heart.
@Mark612Ministries Oh but you do. Did you not say 'read the bible and obey it'? Then you have no problems with throwing stones at gays. You'd have no problem persecuting and inflicting corporal punishment on a child purely because of their skin color or beliefs. Also going by your logic I could choose my blood type. I can just go into the centre and say 'I'm A+' could I not? Would then every blood cell in my body then change to the new type? NO because I have no CHOICE!!!
@Mark612Ministries Sin is an archaic concept. If it's a sin to be gay then why is that not in the 10 commandments? Why is 'thou shalt not rape' in the 10 commandments (probably because the old testament is rife with free God-approved rape)? The most retarded thing you've said is 'I chose my sexual orientation'! How did you do this? Chances are, you like women purely because you were told to. Like most of the decisions you make. I have read the bible but in no way will I obey an archaic storybook
@ponchred Never said "being gay" was a sin. Being gay is not in the 10 commandments because it is not sin. Adultery covers the ACT of homosexuality. It is fornication outside of marriage which is adultery...that is in the 10 commandments. As far as rape, you are showing how your wisdom and knowledge has warped you...rape would be fall under Adultery as well, so once again, the 10 commandments has that covered to. Everything is in the bible. You just hate God and love sin.
One angry man does not represent the whole of the LGBT community, as the presence of the two people patiently listening to this silly youth demonstrates.
@CalypsoCatnip good point! - I just wonder where his anger came from and reading some of the unbelievably ignorant judgements and comments that are spewed out on this page from narrow people who use the banner of Christianity to hide their prejudice I think I understand his anger -
Agreed, his anger is understandable, especially given his age. He grew up in a society that blamed gay people for AIDs, considered homosexuality a mental illness, and basically considered them social pariahs to be shamed, feared, and despised.
America was a scary place for outed gay men twenty-odd years ago. It's no wonder he's so defensive and angry. I just wish he wouldn't blame some silly kid who doesn't know or remember what gays went through back then...
@CalypsoCatnip It was the same in the UK - I agree with your thoughts entirely - the preaching kid was only doing what 'he knows' and to quote Oprah - 'when we know better we do better'
@joemantex Yes, God is love. But while most people like that part, they don't like the rest of him. You see, because God is love he must also have a hatred for sin. He is a holy God, and perfectly good, and has no tolerance for evil and therefore must punish it. But because he is also love, he made a way for us to escape the wrath we all deserve through the death and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ. Repent and believe on him and be saved! He can set you free :)
@JRockKush The reason he reacted that way was not cause he was all "religious." it's because he knows Jesus Christ! The Bible says that when you are in Christ, he literally makes you a new creature with a new heart. Message me if you want to talk!
an 18 year old kid should be working, going to college, or playing with friends... NOT on a street corner provoking the ire of everyone else around him!
@unomnacajit111 When one's opponents insist that their is good enough to be evidence for itself (The Bible) when it contains it's share of self contradictions, and that people who do believe in it. cherry pick, and rationalize it; that gives me every right to use that source in making my arguments. I could throw around all the science I wanted but you would just ignore it and say it can't be true because the Bible says differently. This way you have to face the facts of the book itself.
@unomnacajit111 Bull. . . There is no mention of hell in the Old Testament and it is not a wide held belief in Judaism at all. And if "God" made someone Homosexual would it be just to condemn them to hell for being that way? Of course not, but then God is just a figment of the human imagination.
Lol I know this 18 year old is all religious and wouldnt hurt a fly but if that fucker did that to me...... That yellow pole in your hand would be smashed over his head lol
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. KJV
The very fact that a christian feels the need to go to a gay pride event in opposition is proof that they don't understand the meaning of tolerance. There's a reason why people don't go talking shit to/about Hells Angels... they end up messed up. That guy was pissed, but he was quickly contained after a bitch-push. BFD. Gay people end up tormented, tortured and killed (in 2012) by Christians all the time, just because they are believe in the bible.
and just to make it clear. Atomic science-observed. Matter and energy-observed. Cells-observed. Germs-observed. Quantum Mechanics is actually theory, since a lot of it is neither observed OR proven. Relativity is now questionable (considering CERN just conducted an experiment where light seems to have traveled faster than Relativity says is possible). Light-observed. Electromagnetism-observed. Radioactivity-observed. Molecular bonds-observed (not necessarily understood).
And while I can say the young man has much to learn about preaching the Gospel, he is in the learning phase and he is out preaching it. As he matures, spiritually, God will bless this young man to be a strong witness for Faith.
@JWC3RD How do you know that? It could be attention seeking behaviour, mental illness, unresolved gay issues, trying to win approval of his christian peers - you have no idea of his motives and at 18 I doubt he does too.
@tartandaddy - I can't say for certain. But he is out there preaching the Word, doing his best. So, yes, I am somewhat giving him the benefit of the doubt, since he is in a place where he is facing opposition, even physically violent opposition from someone who cries for tolerance, but grants none as example. I take it, though, that you are speaking from experience, right?
@JWC3RD Isn't going to preach 'the Word' at a gay pride rally and telling all present that 'they're going to die and burn in a fiery hell for all eternity unless they stop living life and commit to a series of crazy laws from the bronze ages', asking for it? Just a little? Could the preacher not have been 'tolerant' in the first place and left the rally alone? Could he not have chosen to go preach in an appopriate place like a church? Your logic is flawed...
@ponchred - Yup, I probably won't preach at a Gay Pride event. The young man had every right to preach there. It was a public place. It was freely OPEN to the public. He had a constitutional right to be there. People that didn't want to listen to him could easily move on. People that didn't want to agree with him, didn't have to. People that didn't like what he was saying, didn't have to. But he had the right to preach redemption to those lost to a very destructive and sinful behavior.
And, since you brought up the subject. Could gays just leave Christians alone, leave Churches alone, leave Christian businesses alone? They could, but they don't. They/you make it a point to target them with harassment and charges of discrimination and vindictive retaliation for them believing (and knowing) that homosexuality is a sin. Secondly, he was not there to be an offense to those lost in homosexuality, but to be a hope. Homosexuals just don't like the message.
Homosexuals put themselves into the mindset of being completely helpless and hopeless in their sexuality. Christians don't tell you that you can't do that. They simply tell you that you shouldn't do that and that there IS a penalty awaiting them because they refuse to acknowledge that it is sin. They simply tell you that there is hope and deliverance from the sin....and most importantly, from the penalty of that sin. It is remarkably insane that you see others' concern as an offense.
@JWC3RD What gives you the right to deem something a 'sin'? A 2000 year out of date book that was written to keep tribespeople from raping and killing (unsuccessfully I might add). If you believe homosexuality is a sin then you must also believe the world is flat. And he wasn't there to give people hope. He went purely to incite a reaction which is the only reason you people do anything. Sin is a ridiculous archaic concept in any case and very little applies here in the 21st century.
@ponchred - Not the 2000 year old book, but the Author behind that 2000+ year old Book. And, since you claim that the Book was written, but unsuccessful at its purpose, to keep "tribespeople" from raping and killing, why wasn't it abandoned long ago, since it proved (as you claim) to be so unsuccessful? And, if not from God, why would men (prone to rape and killing) write a prohibition against something they were going to do anyway?
As for your claim that, if I believe homosexuality is a sin, I must also believe the world is flat? Neither Christianity, nor the Bible, ever makes the claim that the Earth is flat. For you to say that demonstrates your ignorance about a lot of things - other than Christianity. No, he went there to offer them hope, through Jesus Christ. Sin is an archaic concept? So says the unrepentant sinner. I take it, then, that you don't believe in the concept of right and wrong, correct?
@JWC3RD What are you referring to? I haevn't heard about these packs of fearsome, fire-breathing gays attacking christian businesses, unless of course you just object to them shopping there. Which is their right.
@ponchred - First, you are overstating what I said (to the point of gross exaggeration). I did not say "packs of fearsome, fire-breathing gays attacking (physically) Christian businesses). Though, in San Francisco, some gays attempted to burn down, at night, the home of a pastor, with him and his family inside, several years ago. So you are saying you have deliberately or unintentionally kept your head buried in the sand. Makes sense, since it is the common practice of liberals everywhere.
@ponchred - First, I didn't see the young man complain that he was assaulted. I saw him assaulted and continue to preach God's message to the lost. I also saw a homosexual man - presumably one who is demanding tolerance FROM those who disagree with him, but granting NO tolerance to someone with whom he disagrees. If gays are not willing to be "tolerant", what makes them think they deserve tolerance from others?
@ThePerfectionization - The Bible says they will burn if they remain unrepentant. God is not willing that any should perish, but people WILL perish out of the hardening of their own hearts and out of their defiant rebellion towards Him.
@jimmyjazz240 - With an attitude like that, you think people like you are actually an enhancement to society? Your mentality is the same mentality that was behind the Nazi Holocaust. But, in your "defense", the Nazi's thought they were doing something "good" too. Eeesh....that's not really a good thing or a valid defense.....
@JWC3RD Hitler and his nazi hordes were christians. As for the number one cause of war and death on the planet, you need to look no further than religion. Specifically christianity.
@jimmyjazz240 - No, they weren't. They used the Christian church in Germany as a tool, establishing fraudulent elections that put Nazis or Nazi sympathizers into key positions in the mainstream German churches. It's why Dietrich Bonhoeffer - along with many other Christians - established a church system that the Nazi's declared illegal. Hitler was, personally, into astrology and mysticism. The true Christians of Germany opposed Hitler, many of them dying for it.
@JWC3RD Believing in mysticism doesn't preclude one from being a christian. You say the the true christians of Germany. As far as i know there are approx. 22,000 offshoots of christianity, who are you to say which is the correct one? Do you have a direct line to god? Anyway the Hitler argument is moot. Next you'll be saying Stalin butchered his people because he was an atheist. What I want to know is if you can provide me with one piece of evidence to show me god is real. Just one.
@jimmyjazz240 - There are 22,000 offshoots of Christianity? Really? I know there are many denominations (and I even understand why, not that I agree with why, but I understand why) of Christianity, but 22,000? I don't think so. Yes, I have a direct line to God. It's called Holy Scripture. And, no doubt Stalin butchered many people because, in part, he was an atheist. A man without God is capable of any godless act.
@JWC3RD I have a direct line to Sauron, it's called 'The Lord of the Rings"." A man without God is capable of any godless act". Maybe that's why George W Bush cold heartedly murdered 250,000 innocent Iraqi women and children. Maybe that's something that Jerry Fallwell or Pat Robertson advised him to do.
@jimmyjazz240 - You do realize that Tolkien was a Christian (Roman Catholic) and that Lord of the Rings is something of an allegory to Christianity. You should also know that Sauron is the Tolkien equivalent to Satan. So, you basically admit that you have a direct line to Satan. I have no doubt that this is true.
Regarding George Bush - I don't think Bush murdered (cold-heartedly or otherwise) 250,000 innocent Iraqi women and children. I know he didn't personally do it and I doubt that he actually gave an order to "murder 250,000 innocent Iraqi women and children". In ANY war, innocent civilians (men, women and children) will become victims of the warfare. That is the inherent brutality of war. Wars should be avoided as much as possible, but they are not always avoidable.
And, for the most part, coalition and U.S. troops (in particular) do everything they can to minimize civilian casualties. But, when you are fighting an enemy who both uses innocent men, women and children as shields (because they are cowards), it is not always possible to avoid. Secondly, you PRESUME that in all cases, the women and children (cited by you) are, in fact, innocent. Some women have chosen to become suicide bombers.
Children are taught, from an early age, that martyrdom is to be rewarded (I think they are taught this so that they will be willing shields to the cowards who tell them that). Children are even dressed up like extremist fighters and also dressed up in suicide bomber vests for pictures. THAT is the mentality of the extremists. And, yes, there ARE some U.S. soldiers who decide, based on what they witness, that there are no innocents over there....and kill whoever they perceive to be a threat.
When THOSE soldiers step out of line and deliberately target innocent women and children, they are dealt with, severely, by the military for their crimes, through the U.S. Military Code of Justice (which, I believe, is more severe than the civilian codes). War is NOT a preferable state and no career military man will say that it is. It is, however, sometimes, NOT avoidable and we have to have men and women prepared to defend their country....
and, to the best of their abilities, the innocent people who have been and are victimized by their own leaders and political system - during those unavoidable conflicts. And, whether or not Falwell or Robertson advised Bush to do anything, God did not advise Bush to kill innocents or order their deaths. Now, on the OUTSIDE chance that Bush did (but yours is an empty, unsubstantiated accusation) order such deaths, perhaps he isn't the man of God he claims to be.
Because God has issued a stay of penalty, through His Son, Jesus Christ, in order to give the wicked the opportunity to repent and receive redemption through Christ. It is, however, just a stay.
@JWC3RD Wow, your justification for murder is breathtaking. How can you say he may not be a man of god? he has stated many times he is. Maybe he isn't a christian in your eyes but you may not be in his. So who's beliefs are right? Why are they right and who decides who is the more faithful
@jimmyjazz240 - Well, first, it's YOUR accusation Bush murdered 250,000 Iraqi women and children. I don't recall seeing anything like that in the news. Please state a source. I can say that he MAY not be a man of God, because there are those (whom Jesus spoke of) that will come before Him saying, "Lord, Lord...." and Jesus is going to tell them that they were workers of iniquity and that He never knew them. Personally, I don't know whether Bush is or isn't. He says he is, but maybe he isn't
I guess we will both find out someday. The Bible is right. And, in truth, our obedience or disobedience toward God is not what determines whether we are or not. What does is whether or not we truly believe upon the Son of God to redeem us from the penalty of our sins. If Bush believes that, then he is a Christian, EVEN IF he still makes mistakes. The same goes for me. My faith is in what God has done for me, not in what I do or don't do for God. I would be in deep crap, if the latter.
@JWC3RD Trust a christian to put a religious slant on the books. As always christians pick and choose what suits them and discard what doesn't agree with their position. Others see ti as an allegory for WW1 and as war was looming, for WW2. Some see them as an allegory for the battle for hearts and minds between east and west. Yet others between plain good and evil. How could I have have a direct line to Satan? Like your god it doesn't exist.
@jimmyjazz240 - I don't have to put a slant on Tolkien's books. Tolkien acknowledged this himself: "The Lord of the Rings is of course a fundamentally religious and Catholic work; unconsciously so at first, but consciously in the revision. That is why I have not put in, or have cut out, practically all references to anything like 'religion', to cults or practices, in the imaginary world. For the religious element is absorbed into the story and the symbolism."
@JWC3RD Trust a christian to put a religious spin on it. There are many views on what Tolkien meant. An allegory for WW1 and as war was looming for ww2. The battle between god and evil, east and west. You can pick from any one of a dozen. Like a typical christian you cherry pick and discard what won't support your case. As for satan , it doesn't exist, like your god.
@JWC3RD That quote is attributed to Tolkien but there is no proof that he said it. The point really is that like LTOR, the bible is a book of fantasy and fairy tales. Let's get down to business, give me one piece of evidence that god is real, just one.
@jimmyjazz240 - Sure, claim that there's no evidence, when you don't want to admit you were wrong. No, the Bible is not a book of fantasy and fairy tales. As far as giving you one piece of evidence that God is real? What evidence would be convincing enough for you?
@JWC3RD Where was I wrong? As for evidence, I'm willing to accept anything that supports your argument that can be proven. Should be pretty easy considering that god is all powerful.
@jimmyjazz240 teleological argument, kalam cosmological argument, contingency argument, theres a few others. all logical and valid and simple enough to understand. All the evidence for God is around you, you just have to look. I was an atheist for years and assumed i was right based off my assumption that God didn't exist. but i never actually considered the other side's evidence. Once i did, it opened the way for God to come into my life because the evidence is against the atheist.
@h0lystrike Fuck me, you've watching too man of little Billy Lane Craigs videos, if that's the best you can come up with, then you are clearly deluded.Teleological argument, kalam cosmological argument, contingency argument have been debunked many times over. You know why, because they are arguments, not proof.
@jimmyjazz240 wait wait, do you have proof that atheism is correct? (heres some help - NO) ...so all we have is arguments. You also said you'd accept anything supporting the op's argument that can be proven. well, all those are provable; how can you debunk something that is logically sound and valid? Do you see how laughable you sound saying that they are "debunked" because they are arguments and not proof? Ok, then THAT argument doesn't prove anything because IT'S an argument. LOL logic fail.
....and the loving, tolerant and non-judgemental Brandon only likes to hear himself talk. Of course violent hate speech yeilds violence. Why is this a surprise? If Brandon preached at Twin Cities Pride about Christ's love for everyone, he wouldn't have been shoved. If Brandon knows Christ as he says he does, then he would know Christ said nothing about homosexuality (the Gospels is the only place Christ exists in the Bible). Brandon bases his arguement on Paulist Christianity and it is flawed
Just like in religion every people have their "bad apples" Cussing out a kid, is better than fucking one. Religion is broken and needs to be stopped. Christians, Catholics...whatever are all worthless people who hide behind their "God". Grow up and stop believing in the writings of a an archaic book.
sorry these video has me goin' lol last comment - young man in tiedye said "yes in the sense that i believe abraham lincoln existed" but preacher boy lied, there are no writings outside of the bible that vouch on behalf of jesus's existence. there's no evidence whatsoever, outside of the bible for anything the bible claims. but honest abe? there's tons of evidence for his existence, coming from multiple verified sources. 1 SILLY LITTLE BOOK(thanks rainbowpridegirl) isn't gonna cut it.
@LOGICandREAS0N this mans comment alone should make any half-way intelligent christian question the garbage thats been crammed into your brain. religion is fairytale.
@LOGICandREAS0N ' Knowledge only explains religion. One ends where the other begins ONLY when one is too uneducated to understand BOTH. God made man with a brain to rise above his base nature and NOT burn. The point is to live a life better than any other animal - we were gifted with reason. You can believe in religion & evolution, you know - the Bible doesn't explain HOW things happened, only that they did. I believe in God AND accept evolution. I believe God was the guiding force behind it.
@UnoriginalUsername8 I will pray wherever I like, you can think wherever you like. It shouldn't, and doesn't, make a difference. Think in my church all day. Like I said, knowledge/science and religion are only enemies to those too stupid to see the connections between them.Faith only stops you from asking questions if you are lazy. I believe there is a God, but I can still research and wonder all about the science of the world He has created. Don't be ignorant. Sorry that was long.
@UnoriginalUsername8 You are fucking retarded, the bible is just like any other story. The Earth is 4.54 billion years old. There have been thousands of different religions and gods made up by humans over the years. You honestly don't get it.
@LOGICandREAS0N - No, the secular scientists SAY that the Earth is 4.54 billion years old because they have to explain the existence of millions of species through a model where they have eliminated an Intelligent Creator as the source of the genesis of all life. It's a presumption perpetrated as fact, when it is not fact at all.
@JWC3RD You don't get it. The age of the Earth isn't calculated by looking at the number of species that have existed on Earth. You know nothing about intelligent design. ID isn't even an argument. There is nothing to back it up.
@LOGICandREAS0N - No, YOU don't get it. Science doesn't go about "proving" its point by making it that simple. They establish a model (one without God), then establish the "means" to "prove" that. They use formulae that are based on the Godless premise. If their premise is wrong, then the formulae and ALL the results obtained from them....ARE WRONG.
@LOGICandREAS0N - Then you are ignorant of the fact that science SHOULD be about following where the evidence leads and forming the appropriate conclusion, EVEN IF that evidence and conclusion leads to a powerful being that made all things. Science deliberately disqualified God from consideration because THEY couldn't explain or quantify God. So your lame comment about hoping I don't believe what I said is just that, a lame comment.
I would have hoped that you would understand that part of the reason I said it is because - as you (I think it was you) pointed out, physicists DISAGREE with each other on the origin of the universe. But what you seem to forget is that ALL of these disagreeing physicists have mathematical equations to SUPPORT their claims, despite the fact that the claims can not be mutually supportive.
@JWC3RD Look, all your god has to do is provide me with some evidence that it exists. If there was reasonable evidence to believe in a god, I would, and so would scientists. The people claiming a god exists are the ones that need to explain and quantify god. Asking someone to disprove god is like asking someone to prove flying unicorns or Santa doesn't exist. There are thousands of different religions and gods, explain why you think yours exists and all the other ones don't.
@LOGICandREAS0N - Really? What evidence will be sufficient. He revealed Himself to us through His Word and you don't accept that evidence. He revealed Himself to us through His Son, and you don't accept THAT evidence. He has revealed Himself to us to the amazing complexity in biological functions (down to the cellular level) and you don't accept THAT evidence. WHAT evidence would be sufficient for you?
And sure, there are a number or world religions. The thing is, while it is possible for all religions to be wrong, it is only possible for one religion to be right. So which one is right? Look at the foundational premise of each. That's what I did. You will find that in nearly all other world religions, community with God/The Divine is obtained by the works of man himself (yet, with no CLEAR determination concerning HOW much is enough).
There is ONE religious belief that isn't established on works, but what does it say? Good and evil are equal opposites and each MUST exist for the other to exist. It also doesn't actually determine what is actually good and what is actually evil. It stipulates that to one who practices one thing and calls it good, the other man's practices are evil. However to the other man, HIS practices are good and the first man's practices are evil. Both are right from their own perspectives.
Does THAT sound like the correct religion? Maybe to you it does. There is, however, only one faith (or technically two distinct and intertwined faiths) that teaches that community with God is established by what God does for us to effect reconciliation. Judaism - which pointed forward to the Cross - and Christianity (the fulfillment of Judaic Messianic prophecy) which chronicles the arrival of Messiah and the fulfillment of God's Promise toward the Law.
In Christianity, God Himself has done ALL the work and then offers to us community with Him, through His Son, AS A GIFT. All we have to do is accept it. So among all the religions of the world, which one do YOU think provides the best hope for man? The work based religions show arrogance and self-pride ("I'm God's man because I do this and that. You don't, so you are not God's man")...
Christianity shows humility ("I did nothing to merit God's Grace and could never do enough to merit God's Grace. I am a sinner, full of corruption and, YET, God loved me enough to send His perfect Son to die in my place so that I could be reconciled to Him"). Which one demonstrates a more loving God? And you want EVIDENCE that Christianity is the correct belief?
@JWC3RD Actually, EVERY reputable scientist alive today has looked at the evidence, theories, and reasoning behind age of the Universe/Earth. It doesn't matter what part of the world the scientist comes from, or what religion they are, the evidence, math, and models still hold true. The known age is becoming more precise all the time, and it isn't becoming ANYWHERE near 10,000 years old (or less).
It's not just secularists that say this.
You are entitled to your own opinions, not facts...
@UnoriginalUsername8 "You can believe in religion & evolution, you know - the Bible doesn't explain HOW things happened, only that they did."
Sir, the Bible most certainly DOES describe HOW things allegedly happened and it completely contradicts evolution. Adam was supposedly created "in God's image" and Eve was made from Adam's rib. This is completely different than life evolving from a much simpler organism. No Creation = No Original Sin = No need for Jesus to sacrifice himself to himself
Praying does help (I can give you countless examples), but is not meant to be a form of commerce with God. We pray in praise, not just for help. Christians don't "hate." If they do, they are doing it wrong (and many are). Christians are taught to love their enemies. And it isn't curious that God and his followers have the same morals: God isn't agreeing with them - they are agreeing with God.
@LOGICandREAS0N - Actually, research has shown that prayer is effective. The researchers can't understand HOW it works, but they have demonstrated that it does work (and it works for people who are not even aware that prayers are being made on their behalf). So, your comment is wrong.
The guy is gay and Republican? Wow, he is REALLY confused! LOL. Seriously, the one party in America that has systematically oppressed and discriminated against gays, he chose to adopt? What an idiot.

When you have no choice in the matter, how can it possibly be sinful?
efy324 1 month ago
@efy324 So you are saying something cannot be "sin" if they "have no choice in the matter"? So someone can say they are born an axe-murderer or a child molester, or a "whatever" and it is not wrong/sin because they have "no choice in the matter"? Would your argument hold water if a married man cheated on his wife over and over again and said, "I can't help it, I'm born this way. I don't have a choice in the matter." Your wisdom/knowledge is warping you. Read and Obey the Bible.
Mark612Ministries 1 month ago
@Mark612Ministries I'm referring to sexual orientation. Sexual orientation is in fact, not chosen. Cheating, molesting, etc. is obviously chosen; your arguments are invalid. No, if one has no choice, it isn't a sin. I HAVE read the Bible; my dad is a Pentecostal pastor.
Now, tell me something. Did you choose your orientation?
efy324 1 month ago
@efy324 U don't see it. U justify sin by saying there is not a choice. Now hair how tall u are ur sex those types of things are already set in stone, but not who u are attracted to. Did I choose my sexual orientation...most definitely.I choose to go after women and not men. I choose to be faithful to my wife. I choose not to kill people. As I said, if u say "I'm born this way", u can say u r born ANYTHING. No way! Read the bible and obey it. Your wisdom and knowledge are warping you.
Mark612Ministries 1 month ago
@Mark612Ministries Really? So, tell me about the day you "chose" to be straight versus being gay.
I'm gay, and I know for a fact I was never faced with that decision. I've done everything possible to "change," as well. I've forced myself to sleep with girls, I've been to counseling, I've taken Exodus International courses, etc. Nothing works. I spent 18 years of my life begging God to help me change. It wasn't until recently that I was able to come to terms with who I am.
efy324 1 month ago
@efy324 What these antagonizing preachers fail to recognize is their Bible tells them that the persecuted and rejected of society are the very apple of HIS eye - never let any misguided preacher rob that from you - the first shall be last - you are so very precious to HIM as you are - nothing you can do - sexuality or otherwise can change that fact........Go Be You.....and let your wonderful light shine!
tartandaddy 1 month ago
@tartandaddy I wonder if you would say the same thing to an adult who is attracted sexually to children. Or someone who is attracted by raping women. Or someone who "just can't help" killing people. I doubt it. Of course, those things are wrong in your sight because, well, because you say they "can't be born that way". It's hypocritical. God's law is written on your heart. You know it is wrong. You justify your lies and sins by making excuses. God has spoken. It is sin.
Mark612Ministries 1 month ago
@Mark612Ministries I don't tell lies and I would insist you retract that.I also see a fundamental failure in your understanding of sexuality. Preditorial sexual acts, along with other criminal activities doth not an argument against same sex relationships make - even though statistically these acts are carried out by mostly 'straight' people - they happen as a result of a multitude of causes from mental illness to downright evil.If you didn't know that you have a lot of reading to do an maturing

Your entire money making ministery is based on the oldest lie of all time, yet here you are accusing those who have no choice, of having a choice purely because you leave all of your choices to a book. You make no real choices. Your life lacks the courage.

Who in their right mind would 'choose' that? You are blessed to have a 'normal society acceptable sexuality' I am truly happy for you - but please desist from this harmful, cruel and isolating theology.
tartandaddy 1 month ago
@tartandaddy I don't in any way condone the evil that others have done to homosexuals (or any group). Christians have been persecuted as well. "Christians" have also persecuted wrongly. But, regardless of all that, homosexuality is still sinful. Again, I say, if someone says they are "born that way" or whatever, then they can say they are born ANYTHING and justify it as "ok" because they "have no say in the matter". God says it is wrong, so, you CHOOSE not to do it. Period!
Mark612Ministries 1 month ago
@Mark612Ministries you do condone the evil that others have inflicted and you,by your messages continue to fuel the fire of homophobia and give justification to those who believe every Gay person is more sinful than any other person and as a result deserves to be destroyed. You vindictive Bible interpretation along with targeting the Gay community is Sin. May HIS Spirit melt your cold and hardened heart.
tartandaddy 1 month ago
@Mark612Ministries Oh but you do. Did you not say 'read the bible and obey it'? Then you have no problems with throwing stones at gays. You'd have no problem persecuting and inflicting corporal punishment on a child purely because of their skin color or beliefs. Also going by your logic I could choose my blood type. I can just go into the centre and say 'I'm A+' could I not? Would then every blood cell in my body then change to the new type? NO because I have no CHOICE!!!
ponchred 1 month ago
@Mark612Ministries Sin is an archaic concept. If it's a sin to be gay then why is that not in the 10 commandments? Why is 'thou shalt not rape' in the 10 commandments (probably because the old testament is rife with free God-approved rape)? The most retarded thing you've said is 'I chose my sexual orientation'! How did you do this? Chances are, you like women purely because you were told to. Like most of the decisions you make. I have read the bible but in no way will I obey an archaic storybook
ponchred 1 month ago
@ponchred Never said "being gay" was a sin. Being gay is not in the 10 commandments because it is not sin. Adultery covers the ACT of homosexuality. It is fornication outside of marriage which is adultery...that is in the 10 commandments. As far as rape, you are showing how your wisdom and knowledge has warped you...rape would be fall under Adultery as well, so once again, the 10 commandments has that covered to. Everything is in the bible. You just hate God and love sin.

But because he is also love, he made a way for us to escape the wrath we all deserve through the death and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ. Repent and believe on him and be saved!

Your logic is flawed...
ponchred 1 month ago
@ponchred - Yup, I probably won't preach at a Gay Pride event. The young man had every right to preach there. It was a public place. It was freely OPEN to the public. He had a constitutional right to be there. People that didn't want to listen to him could easily move on. People that didn't want to agree with him, didn't have to. People that didn't like what he was saying, didn't have to. But he had the right to preach redemption to those lost to a very destructive and sinful behavior.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
And, since you brought up the subject. Could gays just leave Christians alone, leave Churches alone, leave Christian businesses alone? They could, but they don't. They/you make it a point to target them with harassment and charges of discrimination and vindictive retaliation for them believing (and knowing) that homosexuality is a sin. Secondly, he was not there to be an offense to those lost in homosexuality, but to be a hope. Homosexuals just don't like the message.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
Homosexuals put themselves into the mindset of being completely helpless and hopeless in their sexuality. Christians don't tell you that you can't do that. They simply tell you that you shouldn't do that and that there IS a penalty awaiting them because they refuse to acknowledge that it is sin. They simply tell you that there is hope and deliverance from the sin....and most importantly, from the penalty of that sin. It is remarkably insane that you see others' concern as an offense.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
@JWC3RD What gives you the right to deem something a 'sin'? A 2000 year out of date book that was written to keep tribespeople from raping and killing (unsuccessfully I might add). If you believe homosexuality is a sin then you must also believe the world is flat. And he wasn't there to give people hope. He went purely to incite a reaction which is the only reason you people do anything. Sin is a ridiculous archaic concept in any case and very little applies here in the 21st century.
ponchred 1 month ago
@ponchred - Not the 2000 year old book, but the Author behind that 2000+ year old Book. And, since you claim that the Book was written, but unsuccessful at its purpose, to keep "tribespeople" from raping and killing, why wasn't it abandoned long ago, since it proved (as you claim) to be so unsuccessful? And, if not from God, why would men (prone to rape and killing) write a prohibition against something they were going to do anyway?
JWC3RD 1 month ago
As for your claim that, if I believe homosexuality is a sin, I must also believe the world is flat? Neither Christianity, nor the Bible, ever makes the claim that the Earth is flat. For you to say that demonstrates your ignorance about a lot of things - other than Christianity. No, he went there to offer them hope, through Jesus Christ. Sin is an archaic concept? So says the unrepentant sinner. I take it, then, that you don't believe in the concept of right and wrong, correct?
JWC3RD 1 month ago
@JWC3RD What are you referring to? I haevn't heard about these packs of fearsome, fire-breathing gays attacking christian businesses, unless of course you just object to them shopping there. Which is their right.
ponchred 1 month ago
@ponchred - First, you are overstating what I said (to the point of gross exaggeration). I did not say "packs of fearsome, fire-breathing gays attacking (physically) Christian businesses). Though, in San Francisco, some gays attempted to burn down, at night, the home of a pastor, with him and his family inside, several years ago. So you are saying you have deliberately or unintentionally kept your head buried in the sand. Makes sense, since it is the common practice of liberals everywhere.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
@JWC3RD This may be true, but don't wander into a lions den and then complain that you got bitten. All I'm saying.
ponchred 1 month ago

@JWC3RD Yep, the sooner christians and their vile religion are wiped from the face of this planet, the better.

JWC3RD 2 months ago
I will also take your response to indicate that you must have failed World History in school.
JWC3RD 2 months ago
@JWC3RD Believing in mysticism doesn't preclude one from being a christian. You say the the true christians of Germany. As far as i know there are approx. 22,000 offshoots of christianity, who are you to say which is the correct one? Do you have a direct line to god? Anyway the Hitler argument is moot. Next you'll be saying Stalin butchered his people because he was an atheist. What I want to know is if you can provide me with one piece of evidence to show me god is real. Just one.
jimmyjazz240 2 months ago
@jimmyjazz240 - There are 22,000 offshoots of Christianity? Really? I know there are many denominations (and I even understand why, not that I agree with why, but I understand why) of Christianity, but 22,000? I don't think so. Yes, I have a direct line to God. It's called Holy Scripture. And, no doubt Stalin butchered many people because, in part, he was an atheist. A man without God is capable of any godless act.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
@JWC3RD I have a direct line to Sauron, it's called 'The Lord of the Rings"." A man without God is capable of any godless act". Maybe that's why George W Bush cold heartedly murdered 250,000 innocent Iraqi women and children. Maybe that's something that Jerry Fallwell or Pat Robertson advised him to do.
jimmyjazz240 1 month ago
@jimmyjazz240 - You do realize that Tolkien was a Christian (Roman Catholic) and that Lord of the Rings is something of an allegory to Christianity. You should also know that Sauron is the Tolkien equivalent to Satan. So, you basically admit that you have a direct line to Satan. I have no doubt that this is true.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
Regarding George Bush - I don't think Bush murdered (cold-heartedly or otherwise) 250,000 innocent Iraqi women and children. I know he didn't personally do it and I doubt that he actually gave an order to "murder 250,000 innocent Iraqi women and children". In ANY war, innocent civilians (men, women and children) will become victims of the warfare. That is the inherent brutality of war. Wars should be avoided as much as possible, but they are not always avoidable.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
And, for the most part, coalition and U.S. troops (in particular) do everything they can to minimize civilian casualties. But, when you are fighting an enemy who both uses innocent men, women and children as shields (because they are cowards), it is not always possible to avoid. Secondly, you PRESUME that in all cases, the women and children (cited by you) are, in fact, innocent. Some women have chosen to become suicide bombers.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
Children are taught, from an early age, that martyrdom is to be rewarded (I think they are taught this so that they will be willing shields to the cowards who tell them that). Children are even dressed up like extremist fighters and also dressed up in suicide bomber vests for pictures. THAT is the mentality of the extremists. And, yes, there ARE some U.S. soldiers who decide, based on what they witness, that there are no innocents over there....and kill whoever they perceive to be a threat.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
When THOSE soldiers step out of line and deliberately target innocent women and children, they are dealt with, severely, by the military for their crimes, through the U.S. Military Code of Justice (which, I believe, is more severe than the civilian codes). War is NOT a preferable state and no career military man will say that it is. It is, however, sometimes, NOT avoidable and we have to have men and women prepared to defend their country....
JWC3RD 1 month ago
and, to the best of their abilities, the innocent people who have been and are victimized by their own leaders and political system - during those unavoidable conflicts.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
Because God has issued a stay of penalty, through His Son, Jesus Christ, in order to give the wicked the opportunity to repent and receive redemption through Christ. It is, however, just a stay.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
@JWC3RD Wow, your justification for murder is breathtaking. How can you say he may not be a man of god? he has stated many times he is. Maybe he isn't a christian in your eyes but you may not be in his. So who's beliefs are right? Why are they right and who decides who is the more faithful
jimmyjazz240 1 month ago
@jimmyjazz240 - Well, first, it's YOUR accusation Bush murdered 250,000 Iraqi women and children. I don't recall seeing anything like that in the news. Please state a source. I can say that he MAY not be a man of God, because there are those (whom Jesus spoke of) that will come before Him saying, "Lord, Lord...." and Jesus is going to tell them that they were workers of iniquity and that He never knew them. Personally, I don't know whether Bush is or isn't. He says he is, but maybe he isn't
JWC3RD 1 month ago
I guess we will both find out someday. The Bible is right. And, in truth, our obedience or disobedience toward God is not what determines whether we are or not. What does is whether or not we truly believe upon the Son of God to redeem us from the penalty of our sins. If Bush believes that, then he is a Christian, EVEN IF he still makes mistakes. The same goes for me. My faith is in what God has done for me, not in what I do or don't do for God. I would be in deep crap, if the latter.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
@JWC3RD Trust a christian to put a religious slant on the books. As always christians pick and choose what suits them and discard what doesn't agree with their position. Others see ti as an allegory for WW1 and as war was looming, for WW2. Some see them as an allegory for the battle for hearts and minds between east and west. Yet others between plain good and evil. How could I have have a direct line to Satan? Like your god it doesn't exist.
jimmyjazz240 1 month ago
@jimmyjazz240 - I don't have to put a slant on Tolkien's books. Tolkien acknowledged this himself: "The Lord of the Rings is of course a fundamentally religious and Catholic work; unconsciously so at first, but consciously in the revision. That is why I have not put in, or have cut out, practically all references to anything like 'religion', to cults or practices, in the imaginary world. For the religious element is absorbed into the story and the symbolism."
JWC3RD 1 month ago
@JWC3RD Trust a christian to put a religious spin on it. There are many views on what Tolkien meant. An allegory for WW1 and as war was looming for ww2. The battle between god and evil, east and west. You can pick from any one of a dozen. Like a typical christian you cherry pick and discard what won't support your case. As for satan , it doesn't exist, like your god.
jimmyjazz240 1 month ago
@jimmyjazz240 - I will stick by what Tolkien, HIMSELF, said about the works. What other THINK is insignificant to what he actually said about them.
JWC3RD 1 month ago
@JWC3RD That quote is attributed to Tolkien but there is no proof that he said it. The point really is that like LTOR, the bible is a book of fantasy and fairy tales. Let's get down to business, give me one piece of evidence that god is real, just one.
jimmyjazz240 1 month ago
@jimmyjazz240 - Sure, claim that there's no evidence, when you don't want to admit you were wrong. No, the Bible is not a book of fantasy and fairy tales. As far as giving you one piece of evidence that God is real? What evidence would be convincing enough for you?
JWC3RD 1 month ago
@JWC3RD Where was I wrong? As for evidence, I'm willing to accept anything that supports your argument that can be proven. Should be pretty easy considering that god is all powerful.
jimmyjazz240 1 month ago
@jimmyjazz240 teleological argument, kalam cosmological argument, contingency argument, theres a few others. all logical and valid and simple enough to understand. All the evidence for God is around you, you just have to look. I was an atheist for years and assumed i was right based off my assumption that God didn't exist. but i never actually considered the other side's evidence. Once i did, it opened the way for God to come into my life because the evidence is against the atheist.
h0lystrike 1 month ago
@h0lystrike Fuck me, you've watching too man of little Billy Lane Craigs videos, if that's the best you can come up with, then you are clearly deluded.Teleological argument, kalam cosmological argument, contingency argument have been debunked many times over. You know why, because they are arguments, not proof.
jimmyjazz240 1 month ago
@jimmyjazz240 wait wait, do you have proof that atheism is correct? (heres some help - NO) ...so all we have is arguments. You also said you'd accept anything supporting the op's argument that can be proven. well, all those are provable; how can you debunk something that is logically sound and valid? Do you see how laughable you sound saying that they are "debunked" because they are arguments and not proof? Ok, then THAT argument doesn't prove anything because IT'S an argument. LOL logic fail.

If Brandon preached at Twin Cities Pride about Christ's love for everyone, he wouldn't have been shoved. If Brandon knows Christ as he says he does, then he would know Christ said nothing about homosexuality (the Gospels is the only place Christ exists in the Bible). Where knowledge begins, religion ends.
The Christian god makes man human, then burns him when he acts like one.
Evolution is just a theory (like gravity)
Which day did god make all the fossils?
Praying is like a rocking chair - it'll give you something to do, but it won't get you anywhere.
Curious how your god hates all the same people you do.
Don't pray in my school and I won't think in your church.
Faith does not give you the answers; it just stops you asking the questions.

@LOGICandREAS0N this mans comment alone should make any half-way intelligent christian question the garbage thats been crammed into your brain. religion is fairytale.
OpenMindGoodHerb420 2 months ago
@LOGICandREAS0N ' Knowledge only explains religion. One ends where the other begins ONLY when one is too uneducated to understand BOTH. God made man with a brain to rise above his base nature and NOT burn. The point is to live a life better than any other animal - we were gifted with reason. You can believe in religion & evolution, you know - the Bible doesn't explain HOW things happened, only that they did. I believe in God AND accept evolution. I believe God was the guiding force behind it.
UnoriginalUsername8 2 months ago
@UnoriginalUsername8 I will pray wherever I like, you can think wherever you like. It shouldn't, and doesn't, make a difference. Think in my church all day. Like I said, knowledge/science and religion are only enemies to those too stupid to see the connections between them.Faith only stops you from asking questions if you are lazy. I believe there is a God, but I can still research and wonder all about the science of the world He has created. Don't be ignorant. Sorry that was long.
UnoriginalUsername8 2 months ago
@UnoriginalUsername8 You are fucking retarded, the bible is just like any other story. The Earth is 4.54 billion years old. There have been thousands of different religions and gods made up by humans over the years. You honestly don't get it.
LOGICandREAS0N 2 months ago
@LOGICandREAS0N - No, the secular scientists SAY that the Earth is 4.54 billion years old because they have to explain the existence of millions of species through a model where they have eliminated an Intelligent Creator as the source of the genesis of all life. It's a presumption perpetrated as fact, when it is not fact at all.
JWC3RD 2 months ago
@JWC3RD You don't get it. The age of the Earth isn't calculated by looking at the number of species that have existed on Earth. You know nothing about intelligent design. ID isn't even an argument. There is nothing to back it up.
LOGICandREAS0N 2 months ago
@LOGICandREAS0N - No, YOU don't get it. Science doesn't go about "proving" its point by making it that simple. They establish a model (one without God), then establish the "means" to "prove" that. They use formulae that are based on the Godless premise. If their premise is wrong, then the formulae and ALL the results obtained from them....ARE WRONG.
JWC3RD 2 months ago
@JWC3RD I honestly hope you don't believe what you just said. I feel embarrassed to admit I am the same species as you.
LOGICandREAS0N 2 months ago
@LOGICandREAS0N - Then you are ignorant of the fact that science SHOULD be about following where the evidence leads and forming the appropriate conclusion, EVEN IF that evidence and conclusion leads to a powerful being that made all things. Science deliberately disqualified God from consideration because THEY couldn't explain or quantify God. So your lame comment about hoping I don't believe what I said is just that, a lame comment.
JWC3RD 2 months ago
I would have hoped that you would understand that part of the reason I said it is because - as you (I think it was you) pointed out, physicists DISAGREE with each other on the origin of the universe. But what you seem to forget is that ALL of these disagreeing physicists have mathematical equations to SUPPORT their claims, despite the fact that the claims can not be mutually supportive.
JWC3RD 2 months ago
You were aware of that, right?
JWC3RD 2 months ago
@JWC3RD Look, all your god has to do is provide me with some evidence that it exists. If there was reasonable evidence to believe in a god, I would, and so would scientists. The people claiming a god exists are the ones that need to explain and quantify god. Asking someone to disprove god is like asking someone to prove flying unicorns or Santa doesn't exist. There are thousands of different religions and gods, explain why you think yours exists and all the other ones don't.
LOGICandREAS0N 2 months ago
@LOGICandREAS0N - Really? What evidence will be sufficient. He revealed Himself to us through His Word and you don't accept that evidence. He revealed Himself to us through His Son, and you don't accept THAT evidence. He has revealed Himself to us to the amazing complexity in biological functions (down to the cellular level) and you don't accept THAT evidence. WHAT evidence would be sufficient for you?
JWC3RD 2 months ago
And sure, there are a number or world religions. The thing is, while it is possible for all religions to be wrong, it is only possible for one religion to be right. So which one is right? Look at the foundational premise of each. That's what I did. You will find that in nearly all other world religions, community with God/The Divine is obtained by the works of man himself (yet, with no CLEAR determination concerning HOW much is enough).
JWC3RD 2 months ago
There is ONE religious belief that isn't established on works, but what does it say? Good and evil are equal opposites and each MUST exist for the other to exist. It also doesn't actually determine what is actually good and what is actually evil. It stipulates that to one who practices one thing and calls it good, the other man's practices are evil. However to the other man, HIS practices are good and the first man's practices are evil. Both are right from their own perspectives.
JWC3RD 2 months ago
Does THAT sound like the correct religion? Maybe to you it does. There is, however, only one faith (or technically two distinct and intertwined faiths) that teaches that community with God is established by what God does for us to effect reconciliation. Judaism - which pointed forward to the Cross - and Christianity (the fulfillment of Judaic Messianic prophecy) which chronicles the arrival of Messiah and the fulfillment of God's Promise toward the Law.
JWC3RD 2 months ago
In Christianity, God Himself has done ALL the work and then offers to us community with Him, through His Son, AS A GIFT. All we have to do is accept it. So among all the religions of the world, which one do YOU think provides the best hope for man? The work based religions show arrogance and self-pride ("I'm God's man because I do this and that. You don't, so you are not God's man")...
JWC3RD 2 months ago
Christianity shows humility ("I did nothing to merit God's Grace and could never do enough to merit God's Grace. I am a sinner, full of corruption and, YET, God loved me enough to send His perfect Son to die in my place so that I could be reconciled to Him"). Which one demonstrates a more loving God? And you want EVIDENCE that Christianity is the correct belief?
JWC3RD 2 months ago

CynicalSkeptic1 2 months ago
@UnoriginalUsername8 The Pope agrees with evolution. Obviously it is possible to believe in both, I never said it wasn't.
Also, the human brain evolved over time, this is actually a fact.
LOGICandREAS0N 1 month ago
@LOGICandREAS0N
