  • This definetly gets 5 golden stars!!...I liked how you actually explained it step by step, instead of just drawing it with some hipster music on and expect us beginners to get it lol..Is this also how you create the smokey eye? Just curious if I can use the same technique, thank you girl!!

  • i'm asian my lid is so thin :(

  • you r so good..............never knew eye makeup can be so simple.....thank u so much

  • thank you! this video helped so much!

  • I used the 217 by MAC for the longest time and no matter what I did the crease was TOO high, well come to find out, I have a smaller crease area so it wasnt concentrating the color in the right spot. I got the CVS crease Duo which is great and also a Nars #12 small crease brush, its fluffy like the the MAC217 but alot slimmer and has a pointe so u can get right in the crease area. Both are GREAT for smaller crease areas/eyes. I just use the 217 to blend the colors out versus applying.

  • I'm never able to do this! But you helped a lot :) thanks!

  • i have large eyes and this was very helpful. i taught myself this technique and now i know i'm doing it right! thanks marlena!

  • THANKS ALOT HELPED OUT ALOT!!!!:d

  • Is there an INNER V too ???!! I mean I always thought that the V you drew was the inner V, and that the outer V was a V just above the crease, not ON it.. :/

  • good job! I'm going to buy the 219 now! thanks!

  • Awesome video, thanks so much!

    It was helpful:)

  • Thanks

  • My eye is really small so I had to make the v extend above my crease to get the proper shape.

  • Thanks so much for explaining that it helps a lot!

  • Well, it all makes sense now...my eyes are too small for the brush that I've been using for this. No wonder it didn't look good! Time to stop neglecting my angled brush. Thanks for the help!

  • @TeresaMac Try Sigma brushes. They're less expensive and great quality. Their website lists all their brushes and their uses.

  • @CombatLynn007 Yup I'm aware of them... But looking at the reviews, I am not so sure. I have seen a nice makeup brush thats probably equal to the 217 and its by Boots NO7. I will be ordering it on ebay. Since they only have in the UK

  • Hey I have a very serious question to ask, and I reallllly need to know because I always have trouble doing it. When you're doing any sort of smokey eye with black how do you get rid of the fall out? I mean it goes EVERYWHERE! And how do I keep the black frm going blue?

  • @CassidyJoannaShelton

hi, what i do is i put loads of cheap powder under my eyes while im doing them n just whipe them off when im done or do eyes first, then get rid of the fall out whit a glue tape n do face after. it works for me :)

  • she mentioned it at 4: 59

  • what if you dont have an eyecrease )= where would you make the other part of the "v"

  • its' easy. everyone has an eyecrease. It's just that not everyone has a "defined" eyecrease. To find just gently dip your brush into the same area where you would create the "V" and the brush should automatically sink into the socket (where you feel your eyeball). And just brush the shadow along the eyeball socket contouring it 1/3 of the way. Don't mean to talk about eyeballs and sockets but that how we do it. Just be gentle and don't press in too hard.

  • well explaineddddddddd

  • I love you so much! I have watched tons of video's and you are the only one I can really trully get! You are the Goddess of Makeup!

  • i knew those were posh brushes! you can get an awesome set right at k-mart. they work great.

  • What is the outer V?

  • thank you so much! i've seen lots of tutorials that talk about the outer v, but yours is the first i've found that actually explains it in a way i understand. =)

  • Thanks girl.

    It's was easy and simple.

  • urgggggggggg i tried it so for so many time and still i cant get it i have a almond /round type of eyes and i dont really know whre is my outer v is ....

  • What you are doing is great! Thank you so much your tutorials are really helpful!

  • is there a difffernce between the "outer v" and the "outer corner" or are they the same??

( yes i know this is a stupid questionn )

  • its the same. some call it v some call it c. the C is more rounded, the outer point is not as pointed as the V.

except for some reason it looks really funny on me.. and i dont know why

i think im doing it right.. but it kinda looks silly on me.. is this look not for everyone? or am i doing it wrong?
