actually, the whammy does give you more points, and only when they are colored, otherwise, you increase the overdrive, which you are right about.

yeah, i'm not very fond of people who use the whammy on every sustained note, it makes the song sound terrible. First of all he's the bassist. second if Lynyrd thought that it sounded good they would have made it that way. I would be pissed if I was playing with the guy. This is a great song that gets ruined because i cant hear over his obssesive whamming

Well that's what you get when you play with random strangers. You're right though, that's pretty excessive use of the whammy. I didn't notice because it was 4 AM and I was singing...

Personally...

A. Whamming gets you more points.

B. It doesn't effect the song as much as the dang effects do.

C. You can't even here him wammy on this song because he isn't on the same screen as the singer so the song that is coming out is from the singer point of view meaning everything else is played perfect.
