Kazakhstan is a country in Central Asia that was once part of the USSR, it is NOT however how Borat portrayed it. Had Borat been Moravian, his character would be believable. As it is, Kazakhs are not the swarthy eastern europeans as depicted in that movie; they are asiatic folk who are more mongolian than they are romanian. Also, borat was filmed in romanian, all the characters spoke gypsy romanian.
