  • jose pinera and his team help to destroy our national industry, they privatized education thats why his brother Sebastian Pinera (actual chilean president) has no control on the students protests, in fact my parents studied for free at the university and i am still in debt Strong economy??? what he doesnt say is that chile is one of the countries with more social inequality, then the successful neoliberal economic model fill the pokets of few people. pinera acted under the shadow of a tyranny

  • Fmr. Minister José Piñera creats a efficient and reliable Social Security private system in Chile. This system defeated national debt and has brought many advantages for people. U.S. must be thinking in a reform like this. If you doesn't make an effort, you should be waiting a bankrupt like in Europe.

José Piñera como ministro creó una eficiente Seguridad Social privada en Chile, que acabó con el déficit fiscal y dio ventajas al público. EEUU debe aplicar este sistema para evitar lo de Europa.

  • what a bunch of crap

how can you fight for prosperity and democracy serving under a dictator that tortures and murderes his critics?

  • "The man that help h.....himself"

Everything he says is the opposite.

  • The US is going to have to go through this as well. You simply cannot accomplish anything unless you lock up the commies for at least a generation. They are violent and immune to evidence. It's sad to see so few Chileans appreciate what Pinochet and Pinera did. The commies must be back in the schools. You'll eventually elect another Allende and there may be no one to save you this time.

  • @raderator

    Murdering Children is wonderful!(sarc)

  • @MrReco12 Is your comment that "Che didn't murder children" an excuse for murder? It's OK to murder adults? What kind of sick mentality is that? A murderer is a murderer. Both Pinochet and Che were murderers. It's that simple. Both should be condemned. So either burn your Che T-shirt if you condemn murder or make a Pionchet shirt if you want to celebrate murder, but you can't have it both ways and say one was more of a murderer than the other.

  • @MrFreeLibertarian

Castro or Che: Repression of Batista's murderers and thugs: nothing to repent!

  • @MrReco12 Repression of Batista's murderers and thugs by Castro and Che's murderers and thugs. How many people got eaten by sharks or died from heat stroke trying to leave Batista's Cuba on home-made rafts? Answer: Zero!

  • @MrFreeLibertarian

20 000 Cubans were murdered under Batisita.

The people who decided to flee on their homemade rafts have nothing but themselves to blame. Wonder if the sharks found their tasty :D

  • @MrReco12 So innocent people dying trying to flee oppression seems funny to you. Now I understand I'm dealing with a child. It's too bad the bicycle helmeted generation now has access to the internet!

  • @MrFreeLibertarian

i have no sympathy for fascists who died whilst trying to flee. "Innocent people", HA HA good one!

  • @MrFreeLibertarian

And at least they were put to good use, as food for our wildlife :D

  • The Far Right will never change: '

"I thank heaven for a man like Adolf Hitler, who built a front line of defense against the anti-Christ of Communism"

    Frank N. D. Buchman

    "PInochet saved Chile from Marxism"

-From enormous anti Semites and conservative drop kicks who are unable to hide their love of facism.

  • @MrReco12

So a single line from a guy with 0 ties to Chile makes Pinochet a fascist? XD

  • @Wraith23

The good folks at the Simon Wiestefenful center seem to think he was a fascist who protected Nazi war criminals. oh and Pinera is corrupt, they both profited under a vile dictatorship and constantly embezzled money.

    thugs and criminals

  • @burkoman

I believe Baleshit was the most ignorant president.

Admit it you are just jealous of Piñera's wealth.

  • RED SHOCK DOCTRINE in 25 languages, it will explain this scumbag and the insane Pinochet.

  • @abbadabbadolittle

    Its the idiot again!

Stop embarrasing yourself asshole, nobody believes the lies of Klein anyway.

  • Pinera is a vile man.

Supporting torture, rape and mass murder!

  • Chile, enjoy your prosperity and freedom while you can. The communists will bring you down again. They never quit and don't care that communism doesn't work..

  • neither from a healh insurace card ;)

  • I dont want to be impolite "but why this interview is titled the way it's shows? And let me tell you mister José Piñera. As a Chilean i don't quite believe that human dignity and human freedom has to do with free market at all.

  • @NoDignity1

It's the original title of this episode. As a human being born on planet Earth I do quite believe that human dignity and human freedom has nothing to do communism.

  • @NoDignity1 the main way the masses have ever escaped misery and poverty is by free markets in general (think of how poverty was reduced in your own country). freedom is indivisible, and free markets allow people to utilize their skills and resources to the best of their of their ability, while silmultaneously helping their fellow man. a free market is a network of voluntary relations and of mass cooperation.

  • @NoDignity1

As a chilean I believe the free market is the foundation of a free and advanced human society.

  • @NoDignity1 I think it is quite the opposite. In order to push their free-market "corporatist" agenda the people must always be oppressed through murder, torture, fear or whatever it takes.

  • JOSE PIÑERA SAPO Y LA CONSHETUMADRE -.-

  • Pinochet is the Father of His Country. It's a shame the way the commies were allowed to hound him to his grave. There should be statues of him in every town. I fear the American Jew punks will make their way back down there and cause violence again.

  • @vorbeigehende

Chile has always been a republic.

  • @vorbeigehende

But Chile was democracy before Pinochet's violent coup.

The fact that this guy supported Pinochet shows that he is simply a nasty piece of work.

  • @MrReco12

"But Chile was democracy before Pinochet's violent coup."

    But they didn't have republic.

  • @vorbeigehende A great man. He made the necessary moral accommodations to be able to help his country, in the process making the (then future) democracy in Chile more secure.

  • @MrReco12 Yeah, just like Che Guevara--maybe Pinochet deserves his own T-Shirt!

  • @MrFreeLibertarian

Che did not murder children, but Batisita's criminals.

    Epic Fail!

  • @MrReco12 jose pinera didn't support the human rights abuses, he openly spoke out against them. i believe there letters by him written in the 80's on his website.

  • @goPistons06

    Yes he did!

He supported the coup and the massacres. He was the Alfred Krupp of his day!

  • @goPistons06

He like to portray himself as the Oskar Schindler of Pinochet;s dictatorship, but he was more of a Fredrick Flick and Alfried Krupp!

  • @vorbeigehende

    SU?

Look up US actions in bringing Chilies economy to ruin during Allende years.(embargo etc).

    As for Pinera:

No decent man would work for such a detestable and evil regime.

  • @MrReco12

    SU = Soviet Union.

Now Chile is a democratic country and the people of Chile ever elected Pinera (the other one) as their president.

  • @MrReco12 the us did much to intervene in chile's economy at that time, but remember 2 things

    the ussr also intervened

regardless of who intervened and who didn't, the chilean economy would have collapsed anyways, like any other socialist economy

  • @goPistons06

Nonsense. Why didn't Pinochet re-privatize the coppers mines after he had murdered his way into power?

  • @MrReco12 That is the only thing that he did not privatize, and the only thing that kept Chili afloat during the Huntas reign of terror ,murder and so called free-market bullshit. Pinochet was an evil dictator installed by the CIA . These were not free markets but corporatism.

  • @abbadabbadolittle

Only the copper CAN NOT explain the massive improvement in the quality of life in Chile from the socialist cocksucker Allende to president Piñera, only the free market made possible that level of prosperity, without precedent in LA..

  • @Wraith23

ah, our resident neo nazi.(an admier of Adolf HItler)

You idiot: poverty under Allende: 20%

    poverty under Pinochet: 45%

    FACT!

  • @MrReco12 This wraith23 is some kind of trolling idiot. Pinochet was a murderous dictator.

    .

  • @Wraith23 You stupid F#ckstick the nationalized copper mines are the only thing keeping Chili's people afloat. You believe Pinochets lies you must be blowing him. Do not send me these stupid videos about your idols No one believes them but you.....buttlicker.

  • @abbadabbadolittle

    Agreed.

He is simply a moron who should be ignored.

  • @MrReco12 The title of this ridiculous video should be Pinera the man who fought for prosperity of a few and repression , murder and torture of the masses. I think we got sent to the wrong site via a bunch of socially retarded and morally bankrupt trolls.

  • @MrReco12

Because they were a source of money for the state.

  • @MrReco12

Look for the actions of the KGB and cuban DGI during the regime of their puppet Allende.

Funny that some people can critize some regimes and support others.

  • @Wraith23 i am against Fascism.

During the period in which the DINA (1974-1977) and the CNI (1978-1989) repressive agencies operated, dogs were used to rape women and mice were introduced in their vaginas. Sexual violence was exercised also against pregnant women. The whereabouts of many those women and their children are unknown to this day. Repressive agents raped girls as young as 14 years old and a grandmother of 68 in the presence of her children. "

    The Right support this!

  • @MrReco12

Chile was never fascist. Not every dictatorship is fascist.

As to the rest of your post, please, the socialist tend to be drama queens.

Even now we learn of "missing" people that were in fact alive and collective money from the state.

  • @Wraith23

Chile's military tradition came straight from Germany's rightist military tradition. Both are supportive of facism and mass murder.

  • @MrReco12

Chile's military tradition came from Prusia not Germany.

  • @Wraith23

    Compare:

Venezuelan army: supported the democratically elected government of Chavez

Chilean army: the army with the WORST human rights record in SA who draws its tradition from the Prussian military.

  • @Wraith23

    Pinera's corruption is well known.

  • @MrReco12

    What corruption?

He commited a questionable act as a PRIVATE CITIZEN.and payed the fine.

  • Facts: Unemployment:

    Pinochet: 30%

    Allende:4.3%

    Poverty

    Allende: 20%

    Pinochet:45%

  • @MrReco12

in SU there was no unemployment at all. there was also not much to buy

  • Today José Piñera compared Allende with Hitler. Until few days ago I thought he is a brilliant intelecual with a fascist touch but now I realize he`s just crazy!

  • @loro7lenguas jose piñera sucks

  • If you want to know more about the dictatorship take a look a this documentary, (made in usa): "El juez y el general"

  • Without a doubt, José Piñera is a brilliant intellectual, he is able to built a construct of arguments in order to defend neoliberalism. But don`t forget: he worked for a bloody, cruel, fascist dictatorship that forced the land to asume a model, supported by the usa, destroing a democratic goverment, changing the constitution, privatizing the ressources, killing people etc. Of course, each dictatorship has brilliant intellectuals and they are dangerous because they are elocuent and nice!

  • Comment removed

  • LOL the brother of this men is now the President of Chile

  • ¿Fought for freedom while serving and supporting a dictatorship that tortured and murdered his critics?

    !What an orwellian!

  • Pinera is the only awesome latin american I have ever seen.

  • @Praetonia Probably the only one you´ve ever seen

  • @barnabas65collins Not at all. One of my bestest internet friends is an IRL argie-bargie.

  • democratically elected new president

  • democratically elected like Hugo Chavez

  • To Each His Own

  • Hitler was elected too. As you can see, that not a certificate of good intentions..... Chavez was elected too, but now, he is NOT PLANNING TO LEAVE POWER ANYMORE. Piñera will leave government in 2014 as our democracy states. Chavez is destroying Venezuela's democracy from inside..... and the economy too. You will see. In 2014, Chile will remain a prosperous and stable democracy.... Chavez's Venezuela... will become more corrupt and poor.... just like until now. ¡Que viva la "involucion"!

  • Well, you dont know if PINERA will leave the goverment in 2014. Hugo Chavez has won ALL the election that has been in Venezuela. That is the problem everybody loves Chavez.

  • @Multibanda To respond to your concern, the Chilean constitution calls for 4 year terms. An incumbent cannot continue for another 4 year term, he has to skip a cycle before becoming a candidate again. The majority of the Chilean voters fully expect Bachet to stand as a candidate in 2014. On the other hand 4 years is a long time in politics.

  • Probably sooner than that, he hasn't got the mayority in Parliament and now as a result of the aftermath of the earthquake combined with the disastrous economic policy pursued since Pinochet, his government will crumble. I bet, he is cursing his luck, and he'll have the permanent excuse of the "quake" to justify his program of "austerity" and offload the burden of reconstruction upon the shoulders of the working class and the poors...Get ready for the circus....

  • hitler was only elected because he had his thugs beating up people who tried to vote. hitler won power just as legitimately as mugabe.

  • @AussiePolitics

it's not simply not true. He became Kanzler absolutely legitimately.

he used "his thugs beating up people" to become a dictator

  • the nazi party only ever got 33.1% of the vote. hardly a democratically elected majority.

secondly the 1932 election was well known to be one of the most violent in german history as the nazi brownshirt army (the SA) made many violent attacks against opposition parties.

doesn't seem very democratic to me.

  • @AussiePolitics

Hitler got 36,8 % in second round of Reichspräsidentelection 1932

NSDAP got 37,3 % in the first election in 1932

and 33,1 % (absolutely correct) in the second election in 1932

"secondly the 1932 election was well known to be one of the most violent in german history as the nazi brownshirt army (the SA) made many violent attacks against opposition parties."

    some links?

  • its common knowledge that hitler had Goering raid the communist party headquarters during the election. do you think an election in america would be classed as democratic if the democrats sent soldiers to attack the republican headquarters?

  • @AussiePolitics

    I don't like common knowledge

    I like facts

  • it is a fact that the nazi SA attacked the communists during the 1932 election.

its funny how you demand references but make all the claims you want without a shred of evidence yourself.

  • @AussiePolitics

I looked in the article about Hitler in German Wikipedia.

(It's probably the most well protected wikipage in the world)

nothing about attacks in 1932. the same applies for the Wiki-pages

about first and second 1932 elections.

    Those are my sources.

    Do you have any, sir?

  • lol wikipedia is your source? have you ever been to uni or high school? ever heard what even a primary school teacher says about referencing wikipedia?

does the post talk about martial law having to be imposed on berlin because the nazi violence got so bad? the nazi vote never exceeded 37% and it never had a majority in the reichstag. it gained its power by suspending civil liberties because of the reichstag fire. not one democratic thing there.

  • @AussiePolitics

yes, German Wikipedia is a very reliable source about nazism

it's full with sources and protected very well indeed against vandalism.

you are a 19 years old Australian teenager. so, I suppose, you wasn't present in Germany in 1932. you got your information from some sources. which you still don't want to name.

you claimed earlier "the nazi party only ever got 33.1%"

now you say "37%". I rest my case.

  • because I was referring to different elections. the nazi vote when they took power was that low.

I am studying at university and so I actually know what a real source is and sorry wikipedia has never been one of them.

you still have not told me how it is democratic for a party that has won the minority of the seats in the reichstag to then pass a bill suspending people's rights and then gain dictatorial powers.

  • Pinera believes in the power of ideas?

Pinera does not believe in the power of ideas, rather he believes in the idea of unlimited power.

  • Pinera loves freedom?....democracy?

Lets keep in mind that at the time of this mans return to Chile, tens of thousands of people were being assassinated, tortured and imprisoned, and hundreds of thousands if not millions more were desperately trying to leave Chile fearing for their lives. Is it credible that a man so in love with freedom and democracy would rush back and place himself at the service of the very group of thugs responsible for these atrocities?

  • It is justly so because of this man's inpirational ideas about economic freedom that chile as of today enjoys civil freedom as well.

  • Pinera hall of fame measure, the private pension system forces every working man or woman to save 10% of their income and hand it over to a handful of private entrepreneurs that for a modest upfront commission of up to 30% will manage these funds.

According to the latest results, more than half of this plan participants will never accumulate enough capital to fund the minimum government guaranteed pension of about 100 dollars a month and will have to depend on government charity

  • Pineras measures also resulted in massive unemployment and a handful of large fortunes created overnight (including the one of his own brother, the wealthiest man in Chile and now president elect).

The 7% growth per year for almost 20 years that he brags about occurred well after he left his post and democracy had been restored.

  • Pinera fought for prosperity in Chile?

Well, lets look at the facts

Pinera implemented, without debate or opposition (as all of this occurred during a totalitarian dictatorship) economic measures that resulted in the highest levels of poverty in that nations modern history to the point that even today, Chile still ranks near the top in the list of countries with the highest gap between the rich and the poor.

  • manhattan??????

    BS!!!

  • Genious!

  • What a disgusting figure. Humanist?! FFS!!

  • This thug in the video belong to a class of the biggest thieves in Chilean history. Allies and economical advisors to the coup leader and infamous Chilean dictator Pinochet.

  • A dictatorship of the "human" kind of course where you let dogs rape young women, put electric cables in their vagina's and throw students in the sea from helicopters a dictatorship where you tortur pregnant women deliver their baby's before shooting them dead and then give their children to "adoption" to their torturers and military.

  • Well, on these thugs advice the dictatorship had all the liberty ...

  • to do a giant sellout of the biggest state companies. You might wonder who the buyers came to be.. Well the group that "happened" to do that are people of the same social class as this "man".

  • There you have the explanation to those skyscrapers in Chile. A fascist social elite used the military to do what they new never could have been done during democracy.

  • that "manhattan" view of skyscrapers is not the Chilean peoples skyscrapers, not their life nor their lifestyle. They are piñeras gang of thieves skyscrapers! They bought them with blood money. And now another Piñera but an even bigger thug one of the richest man in the world who created his empire thanks torture and killing is buying his way to government in the coming elections. As you see its all Great business! Cheers Germany.

  • are you from Chile?

  • @vorbeigehende hi, how come? doesn't really matter does it. thanks for uploading this video. Its among the grossest things I have seen on youtube, but well worth watching, especially in english.

  • it does. if you're from Chile you words DO have some credibility. if not, you need to give your sources (e.g. Valech Report)

if he is liar, you must point out why.

    I don't like stupid propaganda.

  • Exactly what part in the exact things i wrote what are "propaganda"?

Lets take one at the time:

    Wasnt he pinochets economical advisor?

    Wasnt Pinochet a dictator?

Wasn't one of the practices of the military to let dogs rape young students (among many other things)?

Wasn't it common to introduce electrical cables inside the vagina's of women and to electrocute them this way? Lets stay there just for now

what exactly in any of my statements is "propaganda" according to you?

    Is this news to you?

  • "This thug in the video belong to a class of the biggest thieves in Chilean history"

"Well the group that "happened" to do that are people of the same social class as this "man"."

"They are piñeras gang of thieves skyscrapers! They bought them with blood money. And now another Piñera but an even bigger thug one of the richest man in the world who created his empire thanks torture and killing is buying his way to government in the coming elections."

  • Ohh, its just this so the rest is ok, you know about that?

  • sorry, l now i see that you wrote about the Valech Report, thats a very light report that left out much of the the crimes committed but still, if you have read it then what is it you are saying is "propaganda"? in that report you can read extensible about many of the activities of the chilean dictatorship, so i really dont get what you mean..

  • no, he isn't. He's from Venezuela, a country which is lead by a "civilian" called Hugo Chavez. and nooooo, the military dress he got, is just an optical illusion!

And by his videos he also admires another civilian leader and democrat, called Fidel Castro, which is in place since over 50 Years.

    Hipocracy by excellence...
