Yeah. I remember seeing this commercial as a little kid and getting a little angry cuz I'm a Brit and I love English muffins. I went shopping with my mom and I asked her to buy them to give them a try. Toasted one and took a bite. Everything was fine until about 2 seconds after the bite and I tasted something strange. As I continued to chew, I identified the taste: DIRT! I later ended-up feeling nauseuous and threw-up due to the taste. Nothing will be better than English muffins.
OK, For years I have tried to explain this commerical - the ending with them saying It tastes great - and No One seemed to know WTF I was talking about - I thought I was crazy ~ Until Now. Thanks For the Posting. this commercial really must have had some speaial meaning for me to remember this late on in life.
YES! This commercial has been an inside joke between me and my brother for years...we finish each other's meaningful and deliberate "They taste...great"
I remember this commercial! I actually searched for this because I had part of the line "They're much fluffier than those hard English things" running through my head. I LOVED these things so much as a kid. Wish they still made them.
I take it this was a commercial from the USA, because A) I've never heard of these ! B) what we call biscuits you call "Cookies" Now I want to try one of these. Darnit. :o)
