Yes if you feel that way about kendo try kenjutsu, you stay bladed the whole time, for less contact surface area. These do work well with a blade, I have a video titled Taisavaki-jutsu Art of Avoidance Evasion & Shifts Kicks & Sword. Check it out friend.
I have been training off and on in a real Kouka ryu school here in ohio.Listen the katas and stuff are important but really the final break down is what is the end goal ninjas would train hard to keep in shape but... when they made moves i..e.. (hits) they would train harder for spacific tasks like wall running more lower movement for stealth but it was the end result that mattered cuz if you know what your going to do then u know how to train for it. bestthingisimaginwhatyouwant then train4 it
Shinobi has a leg up on the rest of these ppl on the net. He understands that constructive critizeim is for helping on his journey in Budo. He is on the right path.
that is a Chinese move. one very impractical for ninjitsu because your heel acts as a pick in the ground with a strained leg like that involves it will plant your leg and foot making it easy to stop the ankle braking it and the bridge of your foot. knee trick you leg then disconnecting your leg from your hip. Vwala crippled for life. this move is impractical only for a rushing opponent, but if they are fast enough the a Thia kick can shatter the whole thing. this move is not a ninjitsu move.
nothing should be planted and sticking out like that when doing that. thats a chinese move even bujinkhan dont do that. While you have your leg straitend and knee with your ankle. the only way this is effective is when someone is rushing you, but still then a Thia kick to that planted leg would surely break the knee and if stomped properly the ankle and bridge of you foot. More wise move would be to go shin to shin knee trick and push the chin up and as there falling wrap your leg around-----
I have a tip for you: I would recommend moving the back leg to the side as well when doing the diagonal shift, so that you're more turned to the opponent, as this helps in protecting the groin.
Make some, they will be the best ones. I buy alot of stuff in person so I can see them. But there are some online stores like tigerstike dot kom some of the larger suppliers is century martail arts.
good video, but it seems like these aren't useful in a real fight. Like whenever I see people demonstrating, it is always quite a slow punch or kick, and the person is ready for it, when you know exactly what someone is doing you don't need anything fancy. So how exactly do these stances help, or moreso, apply to real life fights?
Try to watch the remix to this video and let me know what you think. I will have to do some free sparring using these techniques in the future, many people have asked what you have friend.
I will show you in the future. thanks for watching.
in my karate school whenever we train self defense and stuff like that everyone usually goes not full speed. but i usually work with my brother so we go full speed because we actually want to get something out of it. all of these "shifts" require way too much movement and if someone came up to you and threw a full force punch those would never work. the best "shift" is pivot your hips as fast as possible and your leg will follow. i am thinking about making my own channel and videos.
I know I am showing the shifts slowly here. And yes do you not see the movement for evasions is in the hips moving. I understand, I have made a remix since then watch that and let me know what you think.
i used to do jujitsu and but got bored with it because it wasn't a challenge. now im looking for a other combat sport but i dont know witch one is good. could you gief some hints or pointers about diffrent types?. i would like it to be defesive and a intensive sport.
I don't know much about sport martial arts, I think that tae kwon do is very intense sport, and there are many kicks that can be countered and blocked. However I don't know about defensive. Do you mean defensive like Aikido, where your intercept the attackers force to subdue them? Go to the local library and look at the books on martial arts, you will be suppirsed what you find. There are far too many kinds of martial arts to list here friend.
ic thanx for sending that vid i juss thought u might have the same reason for ur training as me but u dont not that urs is bad or anything juss wanted to know
hey when you think about it ancient scrolls were past down wich described techniques, arrow making, even astrology. The student studying the scrolls would practice the technique until he has mastered it. POINT: It is possible to learn from books and videos.
well I have a video about myself and my goals if you care to watch. But yes I do train myself mostly but I do have a black belt however I have been getting formal training recently. Thanks for watching.
you really are a masterful character in the secret arts of the shinobi warriors brother.although im big and powerful i dont have what it takes to beat those who posess martial arts knowledge.but now i come to know what it takes to reach the maximum of my power.thanks brother.
I am not a master, but a student and I am humble enough to share what little I do know. I thank you for your kind words, I advise that you search for the way of the shinobi as well.
if u are going to ram your opponent with your shoulder while moving and shifting your weight diagnoly if your opponent is trained they would try to stay in the center of balance aligned with yours(try to stay directly in front of you) if you move diagnoly how can you hit them. BTW are you a black belt if not u should not try to teach others what you have not mastered.
lovely, now could you please show the whole thing with actual attackers. So as we can see the process physically working.
Also- on the Chinese shift, it's better to rotate using the ball of the foot as opposed to the heal.
This allows quicker shift of weight should you need to evade suddenly again... and should their attack still disrupt balance you just lower you heel to 'grip' more to help compensate.
Also, it's easier to keep balanced - leaned that from doing tai chi.
Now, can we see some demos involving an attacking opponent, so as to test & understand these principals in context?
Oh BTW - the Chinese shift... much more effective if you rotate using the balls of the feet(the fleshy bit under the big toe) as opposed to the heal.
You'll have the option of shifting your weight again - but have more balance should the need arise. Plus, should your attacker disrupt you balance, you can drop the heal to compensate.
Very good concept, easy to follow and very realistic and effective. This seems good to use against multiple attackers when done in a few repetitions, to evade hits. Thank you for sharing!
Excellent video.I see you are proud of it,as you should be.Some notes:
1.With the heel shift, you look like you compromise your balance a little bit;it may be difficult to parry immediately after you do it.
2.You focus on straight punches. A wild hook could diminish the effect of a milder shift.
Still, these are great.I like to practice multiple shifts in succession, following up each with a counter-attack.I'm not confident enough in my skills to record it,though,so this joke's on me.:D
I believe shifting is crucial if you want to be a good fighter. Your opponent usually puts he's body weight into an attack and that's why, when you shift, he will usually go off balance giving several openings.
Side shifts are some of the best, but a good offense can be used as defense, even when it comes to shifting, I hope to post some videos sometime and I'll be demonstrating that.
hey did you kinda copy my style of resynching the vid afeter its shot :D anyways nice vid shifting is really important even if many martial artists pay less attention to it
