  • Fantastic playing. You nailed a lot of the more subtle Page licks in there. I wish that I could play the tune like that.

  • ★★★★★ GREAT

  • Great chops mate.

  • Amazing.

  • Whoa easy there young fella,I still haven't finished learning your "banks of the deep end". Every time I try working on that you throw out another great song I want to learn-your killing me!

  • Really Nice cover!

  • Great job! Better then Jimmy did it live.

  • @guitarplayer6852 Jimmy is sometimes sloppy live, but when I heard his playing on "How the West Was Won" I was electrified again. He's on fire on some of those songs. In fact, the whole band is.

  • @tehorix789 What type of Les Paul is that and what burst is it?

  • @evhfrankie 2007 Gibson Les Paul 1958 Reissue, Faded Tobacco Burst

  • Their are alot of pickers on youtube. This dude i enjoy the most!!

  • Fantastic! you are so a great guitarist! Respect!

  • THATS A FUCKIN GREAT TONE

  • @iloveshittyassholes Haha, thanks. I like it, too!

  • Awesome job!

  • You are a very talented player. Keep posting

  • perfect tone!!!

  • Damn Bro ..I have to check this out at lease once a week ..........Wish you lived next door...

  • @thunderdrumass Haha, that made my day.

  • great playing! you managed to pick up his sound really good, what is the bridge pickup?

  • @satjathamma Thanks. The bridge pickup is the stock Burstbucker 2 (the neck is a Burstbucker 1).

  • We are not worthy. All bow to the master

  • any latency when recording through something like cubase?

can you use this as a sound card for ur computer, so run the sound from you computer to the ux2 to your monitors / speakers ?

    5 starts btw

  • I'm not familiar with Cubase. I use the freeware program Audacity, but there is no latency with the UX2 when used with Audacity (I suspect the same would be true with Cubase as well).

Yes, the Tone Port (now called the POD Studio) is essentially an external sound card that plugs into your computer via USB. So, I plug my guitar into the Tone Port and hear everything through monitor speakers (which I have coming out of the "outs" of the Tone Port).

  • Right in the pocket...great job! Great playing and perfect tone!

  • fantastic playng dude... really like jmmy page!!!!! GReat!!!!!!! 5*

  • Best Led Zep Cover i have heard :D Incredible

  • omg, you are so freaking good :o

  • Amazing Cover :) Love it... best Led Zep Cover i have heard :D

  • This sounds great man.

Seeing this and watching some demo's makes me want to get this pod.

I'm curious though, which plexi head did you use and do you have the platinum version of pod farm?

  • Thanks. I just use the regular Plexi amp model. There is also a "Plexi Jump" model that has more gain, but I prefer the basic Plexi. (Remember, the software that I use is Gear Box, which came with the 2008 Tone Ports. You could always buy a Tone Port GX on eBay for around 50 bucks or less).

  • Do you use also the standard cabinet w/ the plexi?

  • Yes, I use the 4 x 12 cabinet with Greenbacks (that is the default option for the Plexi on the Gear Box software).

  • Thanks! =)

  • Man...this knocks me out. Fantastic dude...what's the guitar? Obviously a Lester...but what? Historic? Pickups? All the amp parts are digital?....You're real good friend. Do you have any stuff that you're improvising?

  • Haha, thanks a lot, Dan. Been watching your videos for quite some time now. That's a 2007 R8 VOS. Pickups are the stock Burstbuckers (1 & 2), and yea, the tone is all digital (for $150 bucks, the Line 6 Tone Port, now called the POD Studio, is not a bad device; and they make less expensive ones). The Tone Port is like Line 6's version of Guitar Rig or Amplitube. I've got it on a Marshall Plexi setting, no pedals (real or virtual).

  • The second solo is pretty much the same as Jimmy's, but the first solo has the general framework borrowed but parts improvised.

Btw, right now I'm going through the first Blues You Can Use book. Man....should have done this years ago!!

  • That Plexi setting sounds GREAT!!

  • I wish I would have KEPT the burstbuckers from my 07 R9!!!!! Yours sound terrific!! Do you mind if I steal some of your stuff? haha!!

  • Hey, let's do a trade. My BB's for your R9!! ;-)

(A while back, I saw some of the pics of your R9 that you posted on one of the forums, and man, that thing is beautiful).

  • Yeah, I love my R9!!! It's got PAF's in it though...so, I don't think I'd trade you straight up on that one ; ^ )

You oughta sign up at The Les Paul Forum!!! It's a great site about Les Pauls and everything Gibson!!

  • completely awesome... i have always loved this song and you made me love it more yeah!!!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm a strat guy, so I like Jimi and stevie sounds. But I just gained more love for Jimmy Page just now...

  • every time i hear you do a song i have been surprised at how well you do

  • Jimmy might be jealous

  • Dude, awesome tone!! Jimmy would be proud!!

  • bravissimo! complimenti!
