When I go to gym i have 2 routines , a day i do squat, bench and bend over row , 5 sets of 5 reps heavy weight . routine #2 i do deadlift , push press and pull ups , 5 sets of 5 reps heavy weight , except for pull up i do 25 reps in total by multiple sets . It is good ? Im a teen , sorry for my english french canadien :s

@cr91fan Good luck. Not many people can go through with it because it's designed to drain your body. Stop doing p90x after a month and watch your body suck all those calories back up. Anything designed for the general public isn't usually a good long term solution.

@xxsul6anxx Because you get control how big you get by your caloric intake. He is satisfied with his size and likes to be lean. So he eats the amount of food that allows him to stay that size. Just cause you train a lot doesn't mean your going to get big. Someone can train for years and if they eat the same amount of food the whole time they are just going to look the same size but more lean.

@harrymaynard Partially genetics. Our genetics will only allow for us to reach a certain size naturally but it also has to do with caloric intake. If you increase your calories by 500-1000 calories a day you will put on weight. If you don't train most of that will be fat. If you do train and you aren't putting on muscle before the increase and you do increase by 500-1000 calories a day most of it will be muscle.

@xxsul6anxx Increasing body weight/mass/size has to do with caloric intake. It's metabolically expensive to build muscle mass. Which is why when you bulk you need to eat more calorie dense foods because it allows for adding muscle to take place. Eating lots of food also increases your natural growth hormone release which will allow for muscle gain as well. If you did the same exercise as a top bodybuilder with a generic diet you will not build muscle without increasing your caloric intake

If you increase your calories by 500-1000 calories a day you will put on weight. If you don't train most of that will be fat.
