When I was in the military and a Sr NCO, at the end of the fiscal year I was told to find ways to spend big dollars or next year we won't get our requested budget. I was shocked when I was told to replace all the perferctly good office furniture with a newer version, then told we still have more money to spend, so I had to find ways to spend taxpayer's money, new carpet? Why Not? 50 new file caninets? Why not? A scrolling LED sign to inform customers? Hey! order 3.
@zidmt I cant say where but I work through a gov ran organization to help lower income housing, ie furnish and so forth, and we have the same in our budget system. Last year we had over 15,000 that had to be spent in december alone. no bs. And the worste part is this is in Altoona PA, not a huge population. immagine how much gets wasted all together. really makes ya sad. Honestly even questioned it and was told to go with it or i can be replaced. Its just sad.

@sokowa You do realize that's how most people make the decision right? Look at Nixon vs Kennedy. People who listened to the debate on radio said Nixon won the debate. People who watched on tv said Kennedy won. For people who don't pay much attention to politics, they make their decision on who looks presidential. It isn't good, but realistically that's how it is. Ron Paul says very accurate things, but he faces the Obama problem. How can he accomplish such huge changes. the so called racist newsletter , racist remarks appeared in less than half a percent of them. when Ron Paul found out he fired multiple people on the spot , the so called million was made off the bulk of all his newsletters ever published. so what is less than half a percent of a million . it means that he for sure made less than 5,000 dollars off the news letters containing racists remarks. the real number is probably more around 1 to 3000.

@zidmt I cant say where but I work through a gov ran organization to help lower income housing, ie furnish and so forth, and we have the same in our budget system. Last year we had over 15,000 that had to be spent in december alone. no bs. And the worste part is this is in Altoona PA, not a huge population. immagine how much gets wasted all together. really makes ya sad. People who watched on tv said Kennedy won. For people who don't pay much attention to politics, they make their decision on who looks presidential. It isn't good, but realistically that's how it is. @smokethosetaliban Nobody up there has an opinion on anything. They say they will change things. Change things towards what???? They won't say. Neither did Obama say. Yet people believed him. Now those same people were made to be fools. Listen to the way the candidates SPEAK. The politicians don;t say anything while using many words. Ron Paul actually says what he is going to do. You accuse people who want to return to liberty of being freaks. But you are a murderer of freedom and must die.

The cuts ALL these candidates talk about, except Paul, are only cuts to automatic increases! Not real cuts at all! What jokes they are! Paul's plan is to REALLY cut $1 Trillion the first year and balance the budget within 3 years. Paul's plan is to stop foreign aid--why are we sending money to other countries when our people are homeless, etc.? I vote Paul.
