  • The Idea that races exist is a fallacy in itself. There is no scientific proof that there are separate and distinct races. The concept of Race is a modern one, like the nation states that are linked to them. Most so called white people in our country have significant "african" DNA, and many blacks have significant european DNA markers. What does this mean? Should whites with significant amounts of african DNA, "go back to africa?"

  • @herlequinstar Nonsense. Please have a conversation with an anthropologist.

  • their skulls are thicker, simple genetic fact, their iq's are lower, and this explains 90% of their average lower salary, but the pc police would arrest me now for talking about this

  • @megagagnon1 No, it's the white man's fault black people don't perform as well in society. It has to be true, since that's what people keep saying!

  • in every large scale study, from 1914 till 1992 blacks scored from 15-17 points lower in iq - this is politically incorrect to talk about - blacks in the heart of africa were genetically isolated, geneticists can tell u that - that means they are quite diff not only in skin color, but slow or fast twitch muscle cells, lung cell abreviation, etc, west africans are great sprinters, east africans great marathoners

  • While no race of people has a monopoly on virtue or vice, while no race of people has a monopoly on worth and value, contrary to popular misinformation that doesnt mean they are all interchangeable.

  • Yeah, that´s why we all check our purses when it´s white girl crossing street with Chinese guy... you must be Sherlock Holmes or something.

  • could you give me some source material @ jewish slavetraders and owners

  • Jews were (and still are) number 1 traders whenever they went.

It would be supremely naive to think, that they didn´t participate at time when slave-trade was widely acceptable especially among those poor african souls.

  • fazed them out in favor of white help. That's what being a so called "free" state meant. Blacks were looked at as outcasts and had to pay high fees to buy their freedom.

  • slaves for money. That's why so few southerners even owned any. They were expensive. It just blows me away how the few of us back then who stooped to the evil of buying them (6%) are supposed to represent the whole south and the north is not held accountable in the least for selling people for money. It was an american institution not a southern one. All states took part in it. Due to economic reasons in the north they gradually

  • They also never talk about how new englanders were primarily the ones who imported and sold the slaves to southerners, then the north just up and got mad that the southerners had slavery? Doesn't hold up. The new england triangle trade of rum for slaves to sell to the carribean in exchange for molasses to make more rum led to slavery in america. It spread downwards from new england to the south as new englanders couldn't grow anything and kept and sold

  • boo hoo ....you poor whites, you seem to be losing control over all aspects of American society. Your pain and suffering is unjust, yet my soul feeds on your tears of pain and humiliation.

  • True. Now get down and suck my cock, nigga.

See? This door swings both ways, nigga.

  • shut your punk ass up. we know you will get your ass kicked.

  • @Jackthemeat Go back to Africa.

  • I would like to suggest ppl rto go and watch White America - a documentary on HBO by Alexandra Pelosi!

  • And perhaps we could try and reach out and ackowledge they just never had a chance of developing entirelly due to geographical reasons???/ Just have a look on the majority on jail population....have we REALLY being so fair to them????Some develop some not as well as some whites... talk about the rednecks and hillbillies and all the fantical religious right wing warmongers...Just my opinion as a humanist!Tks

  • Ok being an european living in the states I want to say that despite all the comments about blacks having it all right now, we must go back and put ourselves in their shoes. I don't know how I would feel if my grand parents - or great grand - were slaves.I know we forcely took them out and tried to play god insisting they ought to be "civilzed".my question is: are we really THAT civilzed?? Why can't we agree that we all come from Africa (Cromagnons)?

  • Africans traded slaves too. Arab slave traders traded as many slaves as did Europeans. Why do you make this a black and white issue when ALL races have done it?

  • @classicallady People all over the world had slaves not just white people which you implied by saying "we". People of all races enslaved others. Stop blaming it exclusively on white people.

  • @leeason1 Oh I happen to excel in history darling. People have been made slaves since "bible times" and not only. Try Persians, Egyptians and other "great" old civilizations

  • Anybody who infuriates, offends, mocks, derides another human being for either the sheer pleasure of it or for a real reason is a racist.

Think about it...aren't we all members of the human race? Therefore, if I insult you or vice versa, then the insultor is a racist.

    Where am I wrong?

  • If there is only one race, "the human race", then racism cannot exist because we are all the same race.

  • Isn't it that way biologically already?

Even though we exhibit physical differences, aren't the variances in our DNA so minute in terms of percentage that they are statisically negligible?

Since we still call ourselves "the human race", anybody who engages in such behavior is a "human racist". The inherent nature of racism is based on irrational hatred, therefore if it is logically extended to the whole of humanity, racism as a whole still exists.

  • The differences in DNA between men and women are so minute that they are statistically negligible.

I suppose gender does not exist either? Maybe we only have one gender - "the human gender"? Does that sound logical to you?

  • You forgot to add "even though we exhibit physical differences"...I don't think your argument logically follows since I added the qualifier beforehand.

I am just trying to make the case that racism really means nothing anymore as Jack proposed in the video. The overall point that I am making is that racism is irrational and pointless.

I think DNA similarity between all humans should be enough to prove to somebody that hatred toward somebody else is stupid.

  • Just so I am clear on your position, do you think that race exists or not?

  • No, I don't think race exists. Despite the physical differences every human has, there is a specific map that is the basis for every human being (the genome). I think race is a mindless construct that does more to harm progress than help it.

As a construct for classification, it clearly exists as seen on TV news reports and on census forms. Just because it is there doesn't mean I must acknowledge it.

  • The problem is race is seen by too many as something that defines a person and while it can certainly hold say in whom they are or mold their characteristics, and certainly many things other than skin color, hair texture, build and skeletal structure are inheritable from one's parents, to use this to corral what a human being must be like rather than judging via individual I think would be the core thought process of a racist.

  • So, I think race exists in the same way I think blond and black haired people exist. =P

  • I agree with you wholly, silvsilvchan.

  • America is breaking up. Once again you have put your finger on the problem.

  • freedom and independence is not a lost cause. it can still be done. the empire is crumbling peice by piece as we speak.

  • Eric Holder is a racist.

  • 100% truth.

  • White Americans talk about race all the time, because we're constantly called racists.

And when we do talk about race, we're called racists.

And when we don't talk about race, we're called racists.

The only time we're not called racists is when we call other Whites racists.

  • Absolutely true! Race is a genetic construct - the only social construct is the concept or racism. I HIGHLY recommend you watch "A Conversation About Race", by filmmaker Craig Bodeker. Spread it around and show it to your friends also! It is a great documentary.

  • theres already a black president but they still need black history month because they are and forever will feel like "the victim" do they ever stop complaining.

  • blk president doesn't mean anything...most whites see Obama as the acception not the rule of thumb for judging blks

  • Scratch a scam, find a jew.

  • I'm Puerto Rican, born and raised, lived in the US since 96' ,engaged to a white woman, most of my friends are white and I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!!!

    Political correctness is bullshit!!!

  • born, raised and engaged but u only been in the US since '96?

  • Yes. Born in P.R. 1978,moved here,U.S. in 1996.Simple enough.What troubles you about it?

  • nothing i was just asking lol

  • your a fucking racist.... haha just kidding, jack is always keeping topics current and in context

  • "Can you imagine if Martin Luther King Jr. was defined entirely by his white critics?"

Yes, it would feel like traveling back in time. I'm also not sure how Martin Luther King's cheating on his wife or plagiarizing things tarnishes his legacy.

  • A lot of the criticism about King is more towards the view that focuses slowly on the 'I Have a Dream' speech and ignores the other things that King said and wrote both in public and private. People, especially some conservatives, like to paint King as someone who would have been opposed to quotas, affirmative action, reparations etc. King supported all those programs. If you support those programs/ideas fine, but to paint King as being against them is wrong.

  • cheating on your wife shows a lack of character. Not that king did not do great things, but it shows he was not the saint people think he has....it also shows he was human. We all makes mistakes

  • People called him a saint despite his cheating on his wife. I think unless they're dumb, calling him a saint is more of a hyperbole that they've been accustomed to. Obviously he was human, and made mistakes. It's not like he has to balance a moral budget, or else he can't get credit for doing great things.

  • A lot of blacks did that. Thus the progression of blacks was delayed even more because blacks had to overcome their skepticism so add another 15 yrs. And here I am. My family reluctantly let me go off to a white university; the 1 with the least racist past. So being in MS, Ole MS was a HELL NO! But I do totally blame my generation for their failure (Blacks). I say all of this to say.. Screw you and your presumptuous assumptions man. Sorry for the bore fest. Lol

  • So weve only really had 40 yrs of FREEDOM. How much can we accomplish in a generation & a half? Sorry, people cant automatically recuperate from 3 ½ centuries of oppression. My grandparents lived during Jim freaking Crow and they were skeptical and afraid when thinks changed in the 60s, in the SOUTH. So they ran away from their little country towns that make them work for nothing and moved to the ghettos in the cities were they thought they were safe.

  • And conservative whites shouldnt point out because our condition is mostly a result of slavery which we never had time to recover because Jim Crow followed directly after. So add the years up, slavery 250yrs then Jim Crow for 100yrs until the late 1960s. Conservatives it makes them seem even more pompous-like.

  • My state has the confed on it and I hate it. That flag was chosen by exrebels who founded the KKK in Tenn in the late 1860s.They chose that flag because they fought under. And you list Jesse Helms as a critic of MLK? Helms was anti everything BLACK.

  • you are entitled to that. Lots of brave men fought under that flag for what they believed in. Several of their decendents have done things for minorities. I am waiting for negroes to want the us flag removed since slavery lasted longer under it than the four years of the confederacy, or remove washington from dollar bill since he owned slaves. Give people ( blacks) and inch you push for amile.

  • IF you recall the US flag is what fought for our freedom in the end while the confederate was created to be anti. So the US flag owe doesn't have to be removed for us. BUt now tell that to my native american great-grandma and she'll probably see it differently. And Washington wasn't wasn't the only pres on currency with slave. You forget Jefferson a father of slaves.

  • dishonest abes family also owned slaves.

  • Dude...what was that about?

I'm I to hate him? I don't hate slave owners or whites. I simply disagree with those who bring up the present condition of the black community without acknowledging our very different histories and possibility of a connection..PEDIOD!!!

  • i am aware of sallie hemings. I am making a point that blacks bitch to get their way like removing the flag from the dome in south carolina. I do not think it should have been there, but i think the people should have voted not just bow to political correctness. actually there were many racist who did not like slavery lincoln was more racist than jefferson davis, but since davis held slaves he gets the bad rep. The war was not over slavery an issue yes, but not over it.

  • I think Southerners have issues with race. Holders comment was stupid. The confederate flag was used by the KKK. We do not have Nazi flags everywhere because you were born under the Reich. Events change the meanings of things. It is illogical to ignore slavery and Jim Crow. It all has meaning and it all creates a race divide in the US that will not heal until those who remember it are no longer here.

  • I've seen more pictures of the KKK waving US flags more than confederate flags.

  • the origonal kkk and the modern klownsmen you see today are 2 completely diffrent groups. the origonal kkk was disbanned 5 years after its creation when the imperials left Alabama and they started to get most of their rights back.

  • The only thing that need be remembered here is that Racism goes both ways, like bullets on a battlefield.

  • good job SA, this one is another killer.

  • many black, native, jewish, and even hispanic southrons cherish that flag too.

I myself am mixed 3 ways.

  • I believe a great scholar once said...

"History is written by the winners."

For most, there can be no perfect story, no objective view, because to allow that defeats their own cause, their own sense of victory over an opposition or an oppressor.

  • I'm white and from the south. I never respected the confederate flag or the class driven plantation system that created it. If you are for state rights - wave your state flag. Sure, some blacks call whites racist the same way some conservatives call liberals commies. It has become a "thing" with no meaning like you say. So don't fall for the PC crap be it black/white/right/left and say what you think. Don't be a coward. Problem solved.

  • Great video, as always. I will continue to look forward to your videos and podcasts, SA!

  • Excellent piece.

  • For whites, talking about race means being lectured by a minority and not being allowed to answer back.

  • excellent video 5-5 S.A

  • Race means nothing. Unless you want to use it to get something. I have never met a credible racist under age 30. All these people who lived through rough racial times need to wake up to the reality their children understand-- RACE MEANS NOTHING! Eric holder--one stupid human being regardless of race.

  • Political correctness is the philosophy of fools. It's designed to place people into a box so that are too afraid to challenge the status quo.

  • What is there to talk about race? I'm black, only race I care about is Formula 1

  • lol, nascar is better!!! :) but i like your attitude... everyone should be like that

  • I agree with most of what you're saying, but not with what you've said about what Eric Holder's remark implies. Although i'm not going to sit here and assume what he *did* mean by it, I think the remark is more pertinent in the context of what you've described: full public discourse and debate on matters of race without the superficiality of political correctness to cloud the issues. Same with the confederate flag. There's clearly a difference between PC and substance.

  • SA is racist!

  • SA is racist, then I guess I am too. (-ethnic minority, conservative)

  • Your a traitor to your collective race. White peoples opinions dont matter. Even if a ethnic minority agrees with a white person, all it means is that they are both wrong and both racist. But the white person is still more racist on account of being white.

  • That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard in my life.

  • By calling my comment retarded you have proffed you is racist.

  • By throwing around that term in such a baseless way, you've proved the thesis of this video.

Btw, your comment is *still* retarded.

  • No, it's just extremely laden with sarcasm.

    ... I hope.

  • Nah, he seems too stupid to breathe.

  • What you just said is very one sided

  • Anyone that says they are not racist is either lying or stupid. How many here believe blacks make better basketball players? If you believe thats true than your racist, because it is racist to believe someone has an advantage over another because of their particular race. Race matters! Its social implications are all around us and to say it doesn't matter is just stupid.

  • Don't confuse racism with weak levels of prejudice.

  • Weak levels of prejudice doesn't explain why 80 percent of basketball players in the NBA are black.

  • I dunno if you should give credence to the seemingly slanderous accusations against King about him being a Communist and whatnot. I think it 's likely those were just myths brought about by anti-King whites who feared integration, as well as the COINTELPRO program from the FBI, led by J. Edgar Hoover. I have hard time believing King was a Communist. After all, a lot of people, esp. black republicans, claim KING was also a GOPer, at least up to a point.

  • I admit that MLK had flaws , just as every person does. However , I never see you pointing out the hypocrisy of some of the founding fathers. You seem to be only praising them and their ideas on freedom and individualism, and human equality and not criticizing for practicing slavery. They may have freed their slaves when George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, but they still practiced slavery. If they truly believed in human freedom, they never would have own slaves to begin with.

  • You just don't understand the cultural and social ramifications. Refusing to own slaves for men of their stature at the time would have been against the grain and knee jerk. They intentionally designed the American system to allow freedom to extend beyond those with wealth and stature as society became ready for it. The proof is in the Declaration. See if you can figure out why it heralds the protection of the pursuit of happiness rather than property.

  • Not necessarily. The concept of "race" back in those times was created to facilitate the cognitive dissonance between slavery and freedom & inalienable rights verbal discourse. I wholeheartedly disagree that they acted in such a way as to envision a time when slaves would be seen as more than just property. Still doesn't take away from the brilliance of their ideas or from the fact that eventually that was the case. "Race" is a social construct.

  • "I never see you pointing out the hypocrisy of some of the founding fathers."

well than you just dont watch this enough do you?

  • Hey, I think anti-intellectuallsm is rampant in all communities. You act as if intellectualism is celebrated in every community accept the black "community " and I put community in quotes because there is no real black community , just like there is no other racial community. Community is just a better word to described a group of individuals that share a skin color. But anti-intellectualism is not just synonomous with black people but it is very common in American society.

  • Cosign that, Suboreo.

  • Spot on, as usual!

  • Deo Vindice

  • awesome....

  • bill cosby has a point.thats all im going to say if u dont get it dont get mad at me.

  • Racial diversity doesn't work! It is a source of social problems and when white america starts speaking the truth about racial diversity, than we might get back on track and save what is left of traditions and heritage. I just hope it isn't too late.

  • Racial diversity doesnt work? So what should we do? Kill everyone who's different? Or kick them out of the country? You sound borderline xenophobic to me.

  • isnt the white person actually becoming a minority??

  • Yes but just remember that there will not be any affirmative action for Whites.

  • Whites get white privlege for being white. All the money the slaves made the white people took and gave to thems kids. So whites people should give the slaves back whats they took.

  • What about the white slaves? What about the blacks who owned white slaves in the New World?

  • sshhh. your not supposed to talk about that. the truth must be hidden. its the american way. even though the first slaves here were irish.

  • you are the only other person i know who had said that. Actually natives predate that. My grandfather told me stories about he indentured servatude

  • natives predate what?

  • If it became more widely known it would take away the special victimhood of some.

  • Good point! So, bring forward all living black slaves in America so we can give reparations. Oh wait, that was over 150 years ago. Sorry, looks like no one is left alive to blame!? Oh knows!

  • They was all killed by the klan. since the klan is white other white people owe the kids of hte slaves the klan killed.

  • by that reasoning, all black people owe the kids of white people who other black's have killed.

  • bitch please. there are more white criminals than blacks.

  • you have no statistics to support that, its just wishful bs.

  • Fail

  • Bitch please, in 2006, blacks were 37.5% of all state and federal prisoners, though theyre under 13% of the national population. About one in 33 black men was in prison in 2006, compared with one in 205 white men and one in 79 Hispanic men. Eleven percent of all black males between the ages of 20 and 34 are in prison or jail.

In other words you thick twat, shut the fuck up.

  • Um dumba--. Its all proportion. If blacks represent 13% of the overall population, then likewise they should represent 13% of the crime statistics. They more than double their representation, while whites are under their own. As are Asians, for that matter.

For any given sum of blacks, FAR more are criminally inclined percentage wise than any given sum of whites.

    ojp(dot)usdoj(dot)gov/bjs/homicide/tables/ovrelracetab(dot)htm(#)numbers

  • Not everyone you see with white skin has family who owned a slave. You know in your heart the truth you're just to afraid to aknowledge it.

  • But they still recieved the benifits of white privilege stolen from the slaves and given to the white man. The stolen wealth needs to be given back to the race it was taken from, blacks.

  • what fucking stolen wealth. Prisons are like 80% black. Seems they do more stealing and i am friends with all races

  • What money? Not all blacks were slaves or are the decedents of slaves in America. And not all whites were slave owners or the decedents of slave owners. This myth of reparations or the attitude that people of one ethnic group owe another really needs to come to an end. Because it is keeping people bitter and not taking responsibility for their own lives, which I believe was Cosby's point. Because my ancestors were slaves should I continue to feel owed by the ethic group of the owners?

  • No one apparently.

  • el oh el what?

You come off as a complete mouth breathing retard to me for your incorrect diagnosis of his voice and use of internet short hand abbreviations, as well as excessive punctuation at the end of your sentences.

Though you will likely assume I think that because you are black. =P

  • "Saying white americans are afraid to talk about racial issues is like saying a husband is afraid to talk about his wifes weight issues." Bahaha. Nice analogy.

  • preachin to the choir again jack my boy, just wish your radio show or paper blogs could reach more than youtubers and south carolinians or people with really big radio antennas. Then maybe we could get some more support for Ron Paul...the more people like you that we can have talk about this stuff the more likely he will get recognized

  • Would you expect anything less with this country and its twisted history?

  • Great video, Jack, as always.
