Since you're going to Japan again, if you ever have the time, you should stop by the place and record your experience of it as well. Akihabara is a must - city of electronics and latest technology pretty much (and many large game stores). It's a gamer's heaven as well as for other electronic lovers.
So I have heard! Though, I've also heard the people there are a bit creepy. Not in like... psycho killer way, but rather the dirty/homely/keep-to-themselves kinda way.
Can you spell out any truth or myth to this for me?
The people there are creepy? I've been there on several occasions and not once have I encountered any strange people there. I'm not sure where in Akihabara those people have gone, but where I usually walk around it's pretty clean and just your average people walking the streets. The only thing strange thing that sticks out in my mind, are the huge anime/hentai images hanging in front of some of the stores there, hah.
Ouch! It's gotta hurt having to get rid of that collection. I cringe when I think back at all the games I would've had if my parents hadn't given them away.

The link is busted. Don't sell them. Go get a small storage locker for $20 a month and put them in there until you're in a place where you can come back and get them. Believe me, you will be so happy to still have all your games a few years from now.
