I just got Samurai Spirits IV and it has scaling problems too :-( Damn maybe I'll have to get this for my AES also then. Is there something you can do about the scaling problem?
By the way I have The Last Blade and AOF for my AES so no problem there :D
to see the scaling issues that had been discussed on a 'fellow' NEO•GEO site and then you mentioned other things (off-tangent) of interest. Specifically, Donny Yen. He also happens to be my fave HK martial arts movie star too. I'm a big fan of him and in particular his on screen fighting style. He somehow successively mixes chinese style with, if you will, 'clean' japanese no nonsense execution! Definitely works for me (Iron Monkey, In the line of duty, Flashpoint, SPL/KZ etc).
Hahaha... yeah. I did. Wasn't overly keen. I prefer a more arrogant and flamboyant Yen - more amazing kicks and takedowns for me. Ip Man had none - it is Wing Chun after all. They ARE nice films but, not really my cup of tea... but hey, thanks for the recommendation though.
ALSO...
Zero > Zero 2 > Zero 3 for me ^_^
and, interestingly, SS3 is also my all time fave SS too, closely followed by the arguably superior SS4. SS2's supposedly best, but it just doesn't cut it for me...
@NeoGeoNinja For me SFZ2-Alpha was a good one not the same as SFZ2. Also you need to play the fixed version of SS3. It has the fixed hit detection and make a big difference.
Nice video. I do not know why though people would be complaining about the scaling on art of fighting, if they have this adopter they must have the Aes and art of fighting is very cheap for the AES, if it has problems they can buy the AES version of art of fighting, can't make everybody happy.
I have a 10 Volt (model neo-pow3) for the Japanese AES (number 174259). Have no scaling problems with the MVS Super Converter II with RGB scart on a CRT TV. The MVS games Metal Slug, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Shock Troopers, Pulstar, Blazing Star and Mark of the Wolves plays smooth. The 10 V model input: AC100V 50-60Hz 19VA and the output: DC 10V 1000mA.
@MyNameIsArmakuni None of the games you listed had scaling problems to begin with. Pop in Last Blade and Last Blade 2 and you'll see the scaling problems.
Wow, the scaling is crap on these games. I have a Phantom-1 (2nd generation); and to my recollection, the scaling was fine. Nonetheless, a fully-loaded CMVS is the way to go! Hmmmm....I wonder were I got mine.....lol....thanks "Potatoes" and "SupremeJudge!"

@neros77 You can't do anything about the scaling problem except buy a cab or consolized MVS.

@SupremeJudge
Ok do you know which games that have the scaling problems other then the games we have talked about here?
neros77 1 year ago
@neros77 Those are the ones that really show the problem, only other game I know of is voltage fighter.

Ok I just came in contact with a Kizuna Encounter and will receive it very soon so I hope there is no scaling problem there!
neros77 1 year ago
@neros77 Let me know if you do. If I can find mine I'll test it with the Phantom 1.

@ATARI800XLfan Exactly, it's a cheap game to own in both AES and MVS. I can't understand about the more expensive games though.

thanks for taking the time to do this. I figured the scaling would be bad from what I read on the forums, but this is just terrible.

Informative as always dude. The poor scaling on lee reminds me of a low res jpg.

@PotatoesOBrien I'm going to upload the video to my site tomorrow. Looks like Youtube still compresses the video horribly.

@SupremeJudge youtubes h264 implementation is bitrate starved as usual.
