Nice. :) You made it to the next part of your quest. All right, for this video, the lesson is simple. Just like she says. You are blessed. Acknowledge it! Don't waste your time complaining when God has given you so much! Live life with the purpose of moving forward and serving God, not looking back at what could have been different or better. Ok, you've lasted this long, Let's go to one more video. It's by kluschei and it's a Live Hillsong video called "You Hold Me Now."
@lifein2011 Thanks. :) In one year, I'm going to get an email that leads me to a youtube video where I have to find a comment I left a year ago. It will lead me to the next video where there is a message, then another video with another message, until it takes me to the last video where the message has me open a book on my shelf to a certain page and read a note. :) I think it's going to be very fun.
So I don't know if you've realized this or not, but in the past hour you've been receiving a lot of comments from me. xD I just decided to go through and watch all your videos/listen to all the songs of the day. And along the way I've had a lot that I wanted to comment on, so... yup! x3 kthxbai! :D
I'm content to where i am. It's normal to want things or do things. that's why you gotta work for them. anyway all we got is time so enjoy what you have and strive for what you want.
I saw a link to one of your videos on FB! I'm a homeschooler too :) I think it is so cool you are doing a video every day! Go girl! I was really excited to hear you mention Good News Club! I have gone with some friends to a GNC on Mondays before- perhaps it is the same one? Is it with CPC? :) Blessings to you!!
I just stumbled upon this video, and it has made my day. It's nice to know there are people on youtube I can relate to. While it's interesting to hear opposing sides of view on faith, life, etc., it's nice to know we Christians have a voice, too.
And you make a great point.. the grass definitely does seem greener.
your awsome and i love the message your sending people :) we need more people like you on youtube and not all this useless crap! oh by the way over analyzing is an awsome trait! keep it up :))
Yeah, Material things can only take you so far. Without people to share them with, it's not much fun after a while. How you share is more important than what you share.

Thank you for posting this. I really needed that reminder today - right now, actually - that I need to be thankful for what I have instead of constantly looking ahead and thinking that it is going to be better because I "deserve" it. I am blessed beyond what I could even ask for and I do not stop to appreciate it as often as I should. Thank you!!
I don't get the "we should all be thankful" thing. People need to see (and feel) what is wrong with their lives (come on, there's always something wrong) to be able to act on it. If we all just thought "nah, I'm really blessed and this doesn't really matter" all the time the world wouldn't ever move forwards.
If we all go around feeling grateful and never seeing the problems, how the hell are we going to solve them?
You rock girl! I just got fired yesterday and your video and inspired words has helped me put a positive spin on the situation. Like you said I am blessed well beyond what I am normally thankful for. Life will go on and I'm sure it will all come out in the wash.
I agree so much, I realised about five years ago my life is actually really great and so I shouldn't complain about the little things, it's made me a much happier person.
(continued) for no real reason. Granted those are just dramatizations (be it impressive dramatizations) but I'd say they're accurate depictions.
I mean, yes everything that happens has an outcome, but that doesn't mean the previous thing happened just for the next. If that were true then everything that happens would happen in order to make something else happen. Does that make any sense? Unlike you I'm pretty terrible at explaining things.. Sorry.
@thepappytube No, I understand what you're saying! You're not terrible at explaining things, haha. I'm coming at this from the point of view that God cares about the affairs of men. So when I say there's a reason for everything, I mean I believe God is orchestrating life for our growth.
If you don't come at it from that perspective, I can see how my point of view falls apart. I think even without that, though, it's nice to be able to find something out of bad situations, you know?
I completely disagree that everything happens for a reason. I used to refute this by throwing something on the floor ans saying "did I do that for a reason?!" Which I now realise is silly, because it did happen for a reason.
So while I can't explain it very well, I still think everything doesn't need to have a reason.
I thought about this and decided Quentin Tarantino's films are a good example of this. Watch Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs. Almost everything that happens in those films happens
agh. grass is greener on the other side? Yeah, I'm under that mentality an awful lot. If I'm not reminiscing on the past and wishing I were there, I'm wishing for the future. It's so freaking hard to be content where I am and to just be happy! I don't know how to end this. but geez I wish I would live in the moment more and be more productive.
I am very constant on my favorites, and also on my choices. I know I'm blessed. I hardly ever complain. But I envy people like you because I want to do better as well and sometimes I forget that. So thanks to you I am a little bit mad at myself. I promise that's a good thing.
@Rosenrot0eme Oh dear, I'm not sure being mad at yourself is a good thing, haha. I get hung up on that a lot. Maybe just accept that you have more time to grow and start working at it? I can't really advice you about it, though, because like I said, I do that all the time.
I loved this video. Completely agree. And I loved your story at the end, especially since I work in a daycare and have many kids like that. Kids are just so awesome.
@rebeccaalouisee He's adorable, if sometimes ridiculously mischievous. :) And yes, I think the biggest truths are hidden in the small things. We're so prone to overlook them.
There are days when I'll find myself complaining about things, like for instance, the lack of university acceptances I recieved. And then I catch myself, I feel awful-I've got places, and I've got the opportunity to have more education. I'm a member of Amnesty, which always manages to put my problems into perspective. Hope you had a lovely day.
I don't necessarily think that all things happen for a reason, but I DO think that we have the ability to make the best of unfortunate events by learning and growing from them.
I always try to comfort people by explaining that everything happens for a reason. I don't think it's ever worked on anyone but myself, haha. Their defense is always, "THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN FOR A REASON BECAUSE IT IS HORRIBLE."
@Morphesque Haha, yeah, no one wants to hear it -- I never do either, really. Just one of those truths you have to come to grips with at one time or another....or become a victim. Yikes.
Hmm. I wonder if sometimes if I'm just afraid to be content. Like do I actually deserve what I have? and if I am happy with where I am in life, is this all there is? It's a little odd that I was just thinking about this kind of thing on my drive home today, before I even saw your video. Too many thoughts to fit in this tiny little box though. Hope you had a great Valentine's day.
@yaritstony Oh, I understand. There is a balance between being content and striving for growth. I'm not sure I've struck the balance, yet. As for deserving it...I personally don't think we deserve anything, yet God has blessed us anyway -- and wants us to enjoy the gifts he's given us. :)
It's funny, if everyone put fertilizer on their own lawns, they wouldn't feel so jealous about their neighbor's. I hope everyone has had a blessed February 14th :D
