i was wondering at first why you didnt use your cat. i would have come rescue you, since your cat was kinda confused except this was like 3 yrs ago. did you ever end up finding it?
Hahahaha I know how you feel!!!!! I HATE bugs!!!!! Ecpecially cockaroaches!!!!!!!! I know I know they can't hurt me blah blah blah but they are the mist creepy things EVER!!!!!! and I heard a story about someone who got one stuck in their ear and had to go to the hospital so now if I find one I hunt down one of my brothers and force him to get it!!!! Hahaha they HATE it but I don't care they are too creepy!!!
LOL.! You know the same thing happened too me before. I never found Him/Her again. But actually just Yesterday my Cat was staring up at my Wall for no reason, I was SO scared too look up, but I did thinking I woulda saw that nasty thing and it was nothing, so I don't know what he was looking at.! Haha.
Women and their fears... Though Im a guy I actually hate and/or am scared of bugs, spiders mostly, nasty crawlies. But millipede happens to be one the crawlies Im willing to take in my hand :P
I would have not gone to my bed if a large spider had fallen on it, untill I had found it.
And I would have also thrown my cat at it, I usually send my cat after those nasties.
Hi, it's me again, sameday. going through your vids and adding them to a playlist. No offense, but I laughed my butt off. You told this story in such a funny way. I had a cat that brought me half eaten rats. FYI, they do this when they really consider you family. They are offerin you a (2 them) tasty treat. Of course, ur cat has 2 have lived outdoors 2 survive long enough to know this is food. If u are still around, I could really use a talk with u. This may be moot, but did u find it?
lol u threw ur cat at it haha lol i know the feeling but well with spider4s 1 minuet there on the wall then blink and pooft there gone well erm im a bug maniac i dont know alot on bugs but i like catching them in my bug pot and looking at them wif my magninfying glass then letting them go as far down the bottom of the garden as posible if u lived next door 2 me ill save u lol im in england
Actually one time i was chatting with my friend. then something dropped on my keyboard when i looked. it was one big millipide... i was like.. shit! i hate bugs.. but i care for them.. because lots of animals are being endangered right now... the millipide should probally went to another house or room... just nvm about it.. its just a bug... yeah its scary, before you sleep make sure no bugs around ya...
For all you people who are like "Omg why'd you try to kill it?", give her a break god dammit. Not everyone has the same views on bugs. There are people who a terrified of bugs. Let them be. You won't change anything by posting a dumb ass comment telling her not to do anything.
Btw, lol your description of the incident is so funny. xD
wull I haven't really checked out your vid responses but here'[s what's up. Millipedes aren't dangerous. They're herbivores, and really can't hurt you (yeah there's that liquird they excrete but it's sheit for actually hurting you). so unless your a decaying leaf don't worry about millipedes.
centipedes can bite you and are painful and can cause allergic reactions, like bees. millipedes excrete a liquid which cause skin irritationg and blisters and things like that and if in ur eyes cause burning. in either case should see a doctor just in case if injured or in direct contact.
omg lol i have a HUGE fear of bugs too! I would like... stay up for 48 hours and completly distroy my house looking for it and bug spray the whole house trying to kill it lol
I really disliked your killing attempts of this millipedes. When you discover an insect in your house, you should take it and leave it outside as long as you don't have a real insect plague at home. That would be a job for a vermin exterminator then...
hm... I've just noticed something. I'm always very sensitive to the slightest act of cruelty coming from women because my image of women is characterized by gentleness and peaceableness. If a woman breaks this image, it's pretty shocking for me.
i LOVE millipedes, i can't believe you wanted to crush it like an ant or something. [which, actually, that's kind of f*d up too if you just step on ants for fun or bc your scared instead of just walking around them or something. now if they're in your house and you need to spray them, well, then that's okay] the millipede, you can take him outside! you don't even have to touch him to do that.
Gah that is creepy! The same thing happened to me once with a big spider O.O then you don't want to go back in your bed because you have no idea where the freakin' thing is :(
i got blister from a millipede and it hurt like hell....it feels like a burn. now i have a mark on my arm from it and i hope it go away soon if you guys wanna see it message me
Omg I havent had a millipede in my room before but Ive had centipedes. I cant even think about them.. One time, me and my sister were up at midnight talking and when we finally decide to go to bed my sister see a centipede above her and shes screaming and jumped out her bed to mines and we sit there for a few minutes deciding whatt to do. So one of us wakes our 9 year old sister up to kill it (she loves bugs) so she grumbling and
yelling at us for being so immature. While shes look for somethign to kill it with, me and my sister are on my bed, squished up in the corner screaming bloody murder lol and so kills it just like that!! and walks back to bed like nothing happened lol...*shivers* i had to check my bed covers and the ceilings before i got back in it..omg i have nightmares of bugs in my bad or fallign on me...did you ever find the bug Kicesie??
I can't say I can relate. I have no problem with bugs. My only phobia that I know of is heights. I probably would have picked it up and put it outside. I'd feel bad killing it. Even when I accidentally step on a snail I feel bad.
OMG! I so know how you felt! My room, in the summer, is like, *infested* with centipedes. I have so much of a phobia of them I will vomit or something, I cannot even sleep in there. I feel your many-legged bug pain...
Thats nasty! I would have totally freaked out! if i were u and i woulnt be able to sleep in my house untill I found it and someone killed the dam thing!
U are so brave lol

And if u did wat did u do wit the lil bugger ha ha
omg you are the funniest person ever! i dont know WHAT i would do if that happened to me. probably stay up all night worrying about the demons whereabouts. i think its safe to say that its probably dead since you put this up a year ago :D
but (no offense) where you a little drunk or something ? cause i never saw you waving your hands around and acting like "this" in any of your videos before, even if i didn't see em all - but i will ^^
sry for my englisch - i'm from germany! but, hey i'am trying.
cute story. I'd love to visit you any day! and if you need armor to fight your fearsome bugs, i have some. i knew playing amtgard would come in handy someday. I'll put you in my armor, give you a sword and shield and let your conquer your fear of those pesky bugs!
Dont worry I have grabbed a wild millipede in Mexico and they are harmless. Never once did it do anything. If you find, do not panic they do nothing but will only crawl slowly. Centipedes are dangerous though. Only if the millepde is threathened that it excretes a sort of fluid from their bodies that can burn the skin. Dont worry darling. Oooh. And I like your tounge piercing. :)
ok many things to say.. first off cats only give up a kill like a rat as a gift to its owner to show how much he/she cares for you. Second no Millipedes can not hurt you they only eat rotten fruit/veggies. The can however is felt threatend spray some type of acid/piss or what ever ythe hell it is that can turn part of yor skin black/brown but thats all. They also make GREAT pets i use to have one for about 5 years till she died
Holy, cow I am a guy but I have my fears and I hate millipedes and spiders. Good thing you noticed it and moved because just think if you did not, that thing would have plopped on to your bed, did you ever find it ? you should make a part 2 if you have vanquished the litte creature.
u know (major gross warning here) u might of ate it in ur sleep ...absolutly revolting i know but its true about 4% of the human diet is made of insects eaten when we sleep :s
interesting story ... it amused me a bit ... but i kind of hade the same problem one night only a diferent bug. but still could not sleep that night .. anyway .. :) hope you solved your bug problems by now
wow...omg, I think i love you, lolz, I know you put this video up a long time ago, but fyi millipedes can sting you, so...yea my friend says they have stigers in between each leg, so sry if you didn't want 2 hear that, did you ever find it??
dude that is so funny...like it's 4:44 in the morning and i just started cracking up and woke up my mom...who was mad...but i kinda just laughed at her cuz i was still laughing about this...so now i'm in trouble but whatever...the funnienes of this video is to much for me to be worried...but still i kinda am...i blame u...not really lol
Haha this vid reminded me a girl a detasseled with about july of last year.. she was totally completely scared of caterpillars and just about everything you could find in a corn field, ahh im gonna miss detasseling.. =[
I get freaked out by bugs, too. Not by millipedes, but sometimes I'll see maplebugs crawling around my house and they make me jump. When I see one I usually end up squishing it with a tissue and throwing it into the garbage.
Something like that happed to me too. A huge spider got into my room somehow and was crawling around and stuff. It was like, one in the morning and I was really sleepy. I am terrified of spiders and immediatly got up to look for something to kill it with. So I found a book and tryed to kill the spider but I missed and it crawled away. About an hour later I saw it crawl under the sheets.I stripped the bed but it had dissappear. The next morning I found it on the lamp...
ha ha ha ha you chiken i would have so way picked it up and ceped it as a pet lol. but where do you live then im liking the sound of this 6' 7'inch millipede lol?
who knows what would have happened had my cat not alerted me. It could have jumped in my hair REALLY scaring me. I love my cat. She didn't kill it.. but at least she warned me.
It was so ugly, I moved into a hotel and moved out once the month was over.
Anyway my story: I was sitting on the toilet and there are fake vines all over the bathroom. My cat came to sit on my lap while I was on the toilet and she started to shake her mouth and squeal staring behind me. I could have sworn she saw a ghost. I slowly turned my head expecting a ghost.. but instead there was a MILLIPEDE on a fake plastic vine behind me. It was inches away from my head!!!
Hey! My cat rescued ME from a millipede. This one was 5 inches long BUT it was ELEVATED. It wasn't flat against the wall. picture a spider but with a pencil-like body. It had clamps in the front.. and the legs (thousands of them) were stripped and black and orange and HAIRY!!!
OMG so scary! Just imagine what would have happened if you hadn't woken up for whatever reason and turned on your lights! It could have fallen on you! Eeep!
hah my sis did that when she found a cricket in her bathroom.she was talking 2 me on the fone n was like.OMG this freking cricket is huge and let me tell ya .this aint no jimminy cricket either! she was saying lol so she putting the dog in the bathtub and she like go get rocky,go get claesto lol but when i see a bug in my room i do the same thing i scream and get my cat or dog tyo try 2 find it and get it.. or it the bug is on the ceiling ,ill vacuum it up..
you know what you need? a dog. my dogs(26. sled dogs)catch the hugest possomes(sp?)and rodets i am sure that a millipede would be like a mini crusaide. or a mini snack, whatever.lol.
i am sorry but i have never laughed more in my life. you could seriously be a comedian if you got attacked by bugs on a daily baises. again sorry but i couldn't help it. then with the whole cat thing THAT i also find hilarous because my cats(3)love to hunt for bugs like spiders(basement)all the time! how could he/she(?)not catch it? lol.
i no what thats like :( i was lieng in bed and this spider about 5-6inches big crawls up next to my bedside thingy and i run out of my room and come back in .. its not there and im looking around and its rigt next to my pillow :| i chase it whilst hitting it and kill it :( felt kinda bad but i got a bad phobia of them :(
I'll tell you how I handle bugs in the house. Keep a big mouth size mason jar handy along with a get-well type card as a lid/top. If the bug is on the ceiling or wall just sneak up and put the jar over the bug and move the jar a bit to get the bug to run into the jar/bottom. Slip the card/paper between the wall and jar and you got the bug. If the bug is on the floor then put the jar over it and slip the card/paper under the jar and hold in place as you turn the jar upright...
...and move to either a door or the toilet. If your going to flush the bug you need to get the toilet water going before you shake the bug out or sometimes a spider can run on water and get away. You might even have to throw t-paper over it to get it to go down. Also the jar needs to be transparent/clear because it's important to see where the bug is. And keep a good grip when you shake the bug out as not to drop the glass. -Thanks for being here
OMG, now that I absolutely could not handle. Bugs that fly and sting scare the hell out of me! You'd have to knock me out to keep me in a room with one. Although my cat saved me by eating a wasp once.... See, she's normally good for something. ;-)
LOL thats a huge millipede! Did it ever show itself again? There was like a two inch spider in my shower the other day, it crawled into this little crevice when I try to smack it and got away ._o I haven't showered without looking up since LOL
I would not have gotten back into that bed! I once had a spider on my ceiling and of course it falls onto my bed. I had a conniption, but I got it. No clue how you were still sleeping in that bed.
This video is halarious because you seem that you really got scared and no offence but throwing the cat at the millipede was stupid and funny! your cat looks like a home cat not like a street cat. jajjajajja funny video
Oh my... A six or seven inch millipede, and you just took your eye off of him? Not too wise. x3 After watching this and the Scent Of Sexuality video, I must say... You are a fruitcake. (Don't be offended. Coming from me, that's a compliment.. as strange as it seems. I'm a big Jimmy Buffet fan, that's where I got it.)
next time you see one might wanna try hitting it with something instead of running away and tryin to get your cat to kill it that wont work as you already know.
If you come across a millipede again, don't hurt it! They are completely harmless to people and actually very friendly. You should have no problem catching it and releasing it in the woods. They don't bite people and are not poisonous, but do release a chemical to make themselves taste bad if they think they are in mortal danger, which might turn your fingers purple. Sorry if I'm a bit biased, but I have a 10" pet millipede, so ;)
Eww! I so would have never stayed in my room. I would have shut my door and slept in the living room for the night. So now that it's May 29th, did you ever find him yet?
I guess your 6-7" ... "trouble maker" has left your room by now (May, 18th). I hope you learned your lesson; everyone should have a .357 magnum under their pillow! (alternatively, some kerosene and a fireman).
Okay, I wouldn't be happy either if a millipede was lost in my bed, but I don't depise them the way I do centipedes. Millipedes resemble a worm with lots of little legs. They're fairly slow moving. Centipedes are fast moving and usually scurry into the nearest crack to hide. Be glad you don't live in South America: There, centipedes can grow in length up to a foot long and bite. That's the stuff of nightmares!
Glad to see someone else with centipede phobia. I know what you mean too, you grab something to hit them with and they're off! They the most disgusting things ever.
hey theree, millipedes arent carnivorous and they basically feed on dead and decaying plants, etc so its ok and millipedes are actually quite timid. the thing you be afraid of are centipedes...yeah those get chomping and grinding
If it was a millipede it was probably lost. Millipedes prefer a dark, moist, decaying environment (like a decaying log) and presumably that doesn't describe your apartment! Millipedes tend to die if they spend too long trapped in a dry environment like your apartment. In all likelihood he either left your apartment to find a more suitable environment or he's dead by now. If it was a centipede on the other hand, that would be more cause for concern.
did you look back on the ceiling .. you dont need rescuing just man up and deal with it pretend it isnt there if that doesnt work call the drama tube he will bust that scum bag or at least lie that he will be able to
aberdeensol's video response was the best. I can help with the graphic design for the wanted poster. We can post it all over your place. Then someone might see the poster and want to help out... actually they taste pretty good with bbq sauce...errr.. jkjk
Running around?!?! They don't bite or anything pick it up with a newspaper and throw it out the window. (As far as cats go they bring back rats and stuff but if you want something that attacks on demand get a dog. :P )
kicesie, your in luck, millipedes are not venomous. The centipedes are. However they still have a defense mechanism. If they feel they are threaten they curl up like a coil protecting their legs. The second type of defense they have is a somewhat poisonous liquid secretion or hydrogen cyanide gas through microscopic pores. If it does come in contact with you, you may experience discoloration of skin, itching, blisters or cracked skin. Hope ya find it
Be careful! The millipede is probably regrouping to launch a counter offensive tonight. In all the insect world, no one holds a grudge like the millipede! =)
That or your cat already ate it while you were away.
I get a lot of spiders on the ceiling. My advice: keep a stockpile of BIG rubber bands within arms reach of the bed. It's kind of gross but effective, as it's hard to miss the bug with big rubber bands. If you're not a sharpshooter with rubber bands, then just silently get as close as you need before firing.
Clearly your cat ate it.

Holy, cow I am a guy but I have my fears and I hate millipedes and spiders. Good thing you noticed it and moved because just think if you did not, that thing would have plopped on to your bed, did you ever find it ? you should make a part 2 if you have vanquished the litte creature.

I get freaked out by bugs, too. Not by millipedes, but sometimes I'll see maplebugs crawling around my house and they make me jump. When I see one I usually end up squishing it with a tissue and throwing it into the garbage.
HaleyMary 4 years ago
Something like that happed to me too. A huge spider got into my room somehow and was crawling around and stuff. It was like, one in the morning and I was really sleepy. I am terrified of spiders and immediatly got up to look for something to kill it with. So I found a book and tryed to kill the spider but I missed and it crawled away. About an hour later I saw it crawl under the sheets.I stripped the bed but it had dissappear. The next morning I found it on the lamp...

who knows what would have happened had my cat not alerted me. It could have jumped in my hair REALLY scaring me. I love my cat. She didn't kill it.. but at least she warned me.
It was so ugly, I moved into a hotel and moved out once the month was over.
SmartGirl27 4 years ago 2
did you actually move out of your home because of ONE bug?
literatemonkey 4 years ago 2
Anyway my story: I was sitting on the toilet and there are fake vines all over the bathroom. My cat came to sit on my lap while I was on the toilet and she started to shake her mouth and squeal staring behind me. I could have sworn she saw a ghost. I slowly turned my head expecting a ghost.. but instead there was a MILLIPEDE on a fake plastic vine behind me. It was inches away from my head!!!
SmartGirl27 4 years ago 3
SmartGirl27 4 years ago 2
OMG so scary! Just imagine what would have happened if you hadn't woken up for whatever reason and turned on your lights! It could have fallen on you! Eeep!

Maybe you should find a dead millipede and have it sniff it like a drug dog, right? Maybe that would help?
Asylumelissa 4 years ago
you know what you need? a dog. my dogs(26. sled dogs)catch the hugest possomes(sp?)and rodets i am sure that a millipede would be like a mini crusaide. or a mini snack, whatever.lol.
chaoticwonder 4 years ago
i am sorry but i have never laughed more in my life. you could seriously be a comedian if you got attacked by bugs on a daily baises. again sorry but i couldn't help it. then with the whole cat thing THAT i also find hilarous because my cats(3)love to hunt for bugs like spiders(basement)all the time! how could he/she(?)not catch it? lol.
chaoticwonder 4 years ago
I can feel your suffering and admire your bravery. I wouldn't be able to sleep in the same room with a giant bug.
I'm happy we dont have bugs > 3,5" here.
This summer I sat in my room, watching YT and this montster Locust (about 3,5") flies right in front of my face n lands on my monitor.
Freaked out big time, got the vacuum cleaner and and played ghost busters^^
Still remember the deep buzz he made while fliying and the grotesque sound it made when I sucked him in.

Bartman2k7 4 years ago
...and move to either a door or the toilet. -Thanks for being here
Bartman2k7 4 years ago
Well I cant come and rescue you, but I guess I could send you my cat. He's only 25lbs and still gets them all.

next time you see one might wanna try hitting it with something instead of running away and tryin to get your cat to kill it that wont work as you already know.
Tim7118 4 years ago
If you come across a millipede again, don't hurt it! They are completely harmless to people and actually very friendly. You should have no problem catching it and releasing it in the woods. They don't bite people and are not poisonous, but do release a chemical to make themselves taste bad if they think they are in mortal danger, which might turn your fingers purple. Sorry if I'm a bit biased, but I have a 10" pet millipede, so ;)
RavTokomi 4 years ago

I guess your 6-7" ... "trouble maker" has left your room by now (May, 18th). I hope you learned your lesson; everyone should have a .357 magnum under their pillow! (alternatively, some kerosene and a fireman).
QuarksAreStrange 4 years ago
Okay, I wouldn't be happy either if a millipede was lost in my bed, but I don't depise them the way I do centipedes. Millipedes resemble a worm with lots of little legs. They're fairly slow moving. Centipedes are fast moving and usually scurry into the nearest crack to hide. Be glad you don't live in South America: There, centipedes can grow in length up to a foot long and bite. That's the stuff of nightmares!
qwp22 4 years ago
Glad to see someone else with centipede phobia. I know what you mean too, you grab something to hit them with and they're off! They the most disgusting things ever.
kibbile95 3 years ago
hey theree, millipedes arent carnivorous and they basically feed on dead and decaying plants, etc so its ok and millipedes are actually quite timid. the thing you be afraid of are centipedes...yeah those get chomping and grinding

where do you live that you have 6" millipedes?
niekon2600 4 years ago
No... I really think not. But that's just me!!
kicesie 5 years ago
If it was a millipede it was probably lost. Millipedes prefer a dark, moist, decaying environment (like a decaying log) and presumably that doesn't describe your apartment! Millipedes tend to die if they spend too long trapped in a dry environment like your apartment. In all likelihood he either left your apartment to find a more suitable environment or he's dead by now. If it was a centipede on the other hand, that would be more cause for concern.

kicesie, your in luck, millipedes are not venomous.
