@DEIVION212 you talk about mk as if he is a bad character but he is the best character in the game if im not mistaking. I also think you are wrong about the cpu you can learn a lot of tech skil playing the cpu's if you stand in the middle of the stage and brawl them. They are fast.

Compared to Melee that is. There's not one new fighter who could take on a Melee fighter and win. It's a shame there's no way to make a game where every fighter is duplicated and you choose which engine to use, because I think it'd show Brawl up for the atrocity that it is.

Melee has a better fighting system and harder CPU's. And if you ain't played it, and you've only played this one, try Melee and you'll see what I mean.

@DEIVION212 I think that both just got easy over time. I do have the odd moment where the CPU on Brawl seem to be able to predict my movements, which case they provide a challenge (no way like a lvl 6 on Melee, imo). Generally, though, they're easy enough. When you become competent enough with both games humans tend to provide the challenge and not AI controlled opponents.

@lildrummerboy43 I think Melee had the best core gameplay of the three of them, it's quicker paced and has lots of little tricks you can do to make yourself move and attack faster, to me brawl doesn't feel like you have as much flexibility in terms of combos or mixing up movements/attacks.

Actually the bad thing about the game is Nintendo.

They made the excellent Melee and then turned pathetic and have since only made games for grannies and kids.

I fucking hate casuals and I fucking hate fanboys, reguardless of which system they're mental about.

All I like are games, and Nintendo don't make games anymore.

They make "experiences".

IMO if you really want a game like this, head to e-Bay and buy Melee.

It'll last you longer, it's much better and cheaper.

And can be played with NGC pads.

If you've not got NGC pads, then as long as you can get this cheap (Some places still sell it for £30) then go for it :)

But the freeloader part was now obsolete, so when Panda bought it back I wanted to redo the entire vid from scratch to remove the freeloader bit.

I honestly liked this more than Melee. Probably because of SEE, which i found fantastic. Probably because it reminded me so much about Kirby Super Star, which i played ALOT, hehe.

Also, i still haven't got bored with the stage editor, its fantastic as well. I have to say though, that Melee is more competetive than Brawl, but its still a better game in my eyes.

I do hate how they changed Target Smash though, like you said.

I also try to swap fighters a lot when reviewing games like this because if I just reviewed as I played, every match would feature the same 1 fighter XD

And on Melee, it'd have been Young Link VS Young Link in every match.

great review DEMON i love your reviews, and i agree this game is nothing compared to melee.

however, i do have to disagree that this game isn't good, i love this game.

as for the story, yes it is a story, and seriously would you be alright with mario actually talking through the whole thing, when he rarely does on his actual games?

reviewers hate the wii, so when a developer actually cares to try, they critizcize it to death, unless it's a first party ninty game >.>

the only fair/unbiased reviews are IGN's and possibly Nintendo Power's.

anyway, to wrap it up, it's a good game, atleast give it a try then sell it if you don't like it.

It's not a reviewer it's and FPS mad mate who says the online is meh the gameplay is run and gun john rambo style and takes 6 hours to beat, the ASE is plain and boring and that's about it.

However he says the controls are awesome as is the music and some of the graphics.

So that's really starting to put me off.

for the sake of curiosity, have you ever considered playing Brawl plus? in case you don't know, it's basically, a huge hack for brawl, that changes the physics, speed, and balance of the game, so it feels much MUCH faster and more fun (in my opinion), anyway, if your interested, sent me message and i would be able to set you up with what you'd need. Yeah but it was in 2 parts and went on about the freeloader. As the freeloader no longer works and as Panda bought it back I decided to redo it putting it in one vid and without the freeloader bit :)

From one point of view it's the biggest, but from another it's not.

Melee took me 80 hours and then 50 hous the 2nd time I went and unlocked everything,

Brawl took me 29 and then 12.

So Brawl has alot more fighters and stages and stuff, but it takes a lot less time to get the lot.

Shame, I enjoy the unlocking process alot :)

I'm kinda fine with Snake, just that his actual character is being hidden because of well... the M-rated MGS games!

I'm good with Sonic because he was well-needed (in my case.)

My best fighter is Ike/Olimar/Sonic (depending on my mood).

The cutscenes were awesome but the non-voiceovers is just pissing me off.

The fighting is awesome, the online play is boss and the unlockables may a great replay value! 5 stars!

I like this the most becouse almost all the fighters have their own strategies.

For exampel: Olimar: ranged, agressive, Be allways in the opponents way.

Snake: ground based, defensive, tricky with explosives.

I used to hate the Biffo comics in Dandy as a kid, because he was the only one with just pictures and it done my head in.

Every issue was very basic because you can't do much with just pictures.

Well IMO Brawl isn't bad but it's not great either. It's slightly beter than medi-ocre.

Hard to say. Kirby is probably my favourite because he's the only one that feels like he's playing Smash Bros., then maybe Pit, Ike, Toon Link and R.O.B.

I think they've completely ruined Link and Toon Link is no where near as good as Young Link was/is.

Which is gutting, because I've always been Link.

What I wanted to say though, was... I hate Snake, he doesn't feel at all like an SSB-er, I hate how non Ninty fighters are in the game. I hate the clones even more in this one. And I hate the difficulty, it's to easy! Hard means memorable!

However I love the stages, love the music, and love the custom controls.
